To add authenticity, I have spraypainted the gas parts matt black. BTW if anyone attempts this then try not to dethread the upper screw on the foresight base. This does not affect sturdyness but may look a little annoying because the 2 ends can split a little. Just warning you guys.

There is one site selling them for 540 just the SA80. and he don't even include a SUSAT.

The SUSAT provides too much magnification for airsoft skirmishing, the mag is 4X and is too powerful for airsoft guns. The best bet is to use the backup irons.

WHats the point? Yes it fired good. end of. Range a good 50-60 meters at eversley on sunday. It has the range of an M14. the ROF of an upgraded aeg(as you expect), on an 8.4v, if your not nice with it it missfires because of the trigger machanism(which happened to a mate of mine), if your good with it and do bursts instead of burning off the mag then it actually feels better firing it. Update: The modification on the cocking handle has been improved. To version 1.12 which is basically a larger and stronger spring instead of rubberbands and original spring now it is Hot, Will post a vid soon, the benefits include more realism and probably never need to ajust the cocking spring ever again If other airsofters are looking to do the mod then PM me and I can get the springs sent. They are special and proper hard to find.

Thanks mate, I'm not really experienced enough with gearboxes but I can tell you all that it is very secure indeed, and has 2 threaded bolts either side of the lower half, which screw on and off to remove the gearbox. So far the gearbox is very promising, and STAR have done a wonderful Job of it it comes upgraded fully at stock level, it has all the reinforced steel gears and M140 spring(unless downgraded) the cylinder is plastic but seems to handle the piston very well with very minimal noise and if the rifle is further foamed it will become as quiet at Russian silent rifle cartridges P

I fixed the cocking handle. But if you want specific details PM me. It is a fairly descriptive procedure but fairly easy too.

Now for the finishing touches to the rifle, personally I think the rifle MUST have a SUSAT sight. It simply feels wrong without it. When applying the magazine you will notice it has some fantastic glossy paint similar to what of the steel 5.56 SA80 A2 mags, this mag has RG on the bottom which is erronous because RG is a bag magazine maker, there were several improvements on the magazines infact they were completely replaced with steel and not aluminium, these mags I believe as steel aswell judging from the weight. The markings on the rifles magazine housing is correct, and are not out of place. (soz about pic quality) Inside the magazine well, this rifle fits all magazines because I tried using my firearm mags aswell, A1/A2/G&G/TM/STAR/G&P magazines fit I expect all magazines will fit becuase my 5.56 mags fit but don't lock in because they're 5.56 and have round guides.
