had a go fitting the complete aluminium RA-T assembly (nozzle shell and npas bolt) into the AGM bolt carrier the unit will fit in just fine and in its proper place the only problem is if you try and fit the aluminium RA-T side lock plate That has a groove in it designed to marry up with a rail that runs along side of the nozzle shell. When you try to insert it the groove on it doesn line up with the rail. Reason for that is cos the AGM bolt carrier has the hole cut for the locking plate placed approx .5mm further down the side of the bolt carrier than the RA-T one. so if you want to

going by the RAT video the aluminium npas bolt will fit inside the AGM nozzle shell and then that combined sub assembly will pop inside the AGM bolt carrier I dont recall there beign a vid where they've fitted the whole aluminium combo inside an AGM bolt carrier (may well be and Ive missed it) Ive only ran my aluminium set inside the RA-T bolt carrier they came with, so would be later on today before I could try that setup and fire off some rounds to confirm it works (is curently 4.20 am over here so I cant see the neighbours apreciating me trying it just now lol)

Ra tech will do you a tool adjust NPAS set in aluminium for 60 bucks, thats the bolt (supplied along with the NPAS flute valve and adjustment key for the 60 bucks). You fit that inside your stock plastic AGM nozzle shell and you fit the lot into your stock AGM bolt carrier next stage up they'll do you that same tool adjust NPAS metal bolt set plus their own plastic nozzle shell for 80 bucks. You fit that complete assembly into your AGM bolt carrier. The nozzle on its plastic nozzle shell is an integral part of the plastic casting - so each time you break or deform the nozzle then you

I've got steel bolt carrier aluuminium nozzle block, heavy recoil spring a double weight buffer on mine with no signs of excss wear or tear as yet only trouble is I cant be sitting at more than 800 rounds thru it yet - so to get a kinda definitive answer you could bank on then you're going to have to wait a while till sensible round counts have been reached by a fair number of folks Dont want to wait that long then you're just going to have to take the same risks as rest of us and find out for yourself

your welcome, only thing I should add is a - cutting a little is as good as cutting a lot. Altough it can be pretty short theres never going to be a need to cut any more than two to five mill off of it at most b - soon as you cut it its no longer going to be long enough to use as a positive pressure flute valve ..though as it works fine as a negative (and can be shimmed as per MDKs instructions to reduce FPS) I cant think of any real reason why anyone would want to swap it over to PPS layout

when set up as an NPAS setup as the AGM uses it, the front section of the flute valve doesnt need any real length, it has no bearing on compression etc in that config, instead its only use is to stabilise the valve disc in the chamber (and provide something to shove inside the spring to centre it too) - if you look at the RA-tech variable one you can see the stem is really short. It only needs to be its full length when in a PPS system, as the valve disc is held open in the chamber by pressure of the BB against the flute. Rest of the time its closed as the spring sits behind the disc in

my thoughts are you're reading it wrong? its cost of one mag plus 129 USD to buy the five pack (166 dollars total) seeing as its the same AGM mags that gunner are selling at 22 dollars a pop - total for five from gunner is 164 shipped HK airmail (which is what waridiot include as their inclusive postage method) or 177 shipped EMS from gunner (which war idiot would want 186 for) then it just seems the usual going rate give or take a dollar or two bolt carier group far as bolt group goes I'm getting on OK with the complete RA-tech WA steel bolt carrier group. bolt carrier on that is

aye in default (NPAS) config theres no need for the flute valve to be that long - it's still full length of a PPS valve, yet end of it in an NPAS set up has no need to be anywhere near front of the nozzle.

yep no difference other than the reduceable FPS at muzzle end of the gun if you layout 260 for the entire variable NPAs bolt carrier assembly you'll get a bit more felt recoil (or maybe more accurately more felt 'bolt slam' as it returns to battery), if you want better value option then just buy the NPAS bolt fit it to the AGM nozzle tube and shove it back inside the AGM bolt carrier $60

mine has the grub screw (though rather it didnt to be honest - just one more thing to have to knock a split pin out to reach) guy who built yours was definately in a hurry to break for lunch

one thing I forgot to mention is recoil and noise in comparison to escort guns that I think some folks were looking to get feedback on It definately kicks harder than my Shoei MG42, Escort MP5 (standard and A-spec), M60 (standard) and SP M16s (more or less standard and a fully ASL upgraded one) I'd put it on par/slightly edging my standard Shoei MP44 for kick and for metalic clinks and clunks where it wins out over all of them incl the MP44 is in sheer overall noise - with the escort system being much more of a sealed system the gas all tends to go down the spout, whereas on t

its around a mm longer or so overall but not had any issues with it sticking in the receiver or the buffer tube wether in semi or auto - currenty running it with standard AGM spring (looks to be equiv of RA-tech winter spring) and an Ino buffer. Receiver can still close with it fitted. Only issues I did have with it was the aluminium side lock plate and the red oring - whenever I drew the nozzle block/bolt out of the bolt carrier and let it go it didnt snap back into place - instead it slid back in at a crawl. I swapped side plate over for Ra-tech plastic one (it fits more loosely) and s

I went all spendy on it and bought parts I really didnt need, ignoring those bits the siginficant parts I'd reckon are: rifle incl EMS shipping from gunners $189 steel bolt carrier with aluminium adjustable NPAS dim-grey $260 ra-tech hop rubber $007 ra-tech steel bolt catch $015 Inokatsu buffer $015 ra-tech plastic nozzle shell

heres a few guesses to have a try at dirty/greasy hop rubber? my stock AGM one was pretty gungy, wasnt likely to grip any thing with that amount of lube on it misaligned hop rubber? if you have white AGM hop chamber then theres should be a distinct circular black outline of the throat of the hop rubber visible when you look into the breech, if its all twisted into an oval shape or sitting deeply inside breech of the hop unit that could be source of the problem spring missing from hop adjuster? No spring and you might not have sufficient tension in the hop rubber to grab a BB

Finally got mine up and running. Runs like a train in semi - no missfeeds, no dribblers fps variance of around 10 fps accross best part of a mag. bolt carrier RA-T steel one, RA-T aluminium bolt assembly, RA-T variable NPAS and RA-T white plastic nozzle. I swapped out the aluminium side lock for RA-T plastic one and swapped the red RA-T oring for stock AGM one (the bolt was feelign a little tight when extended - didnt want to snap back into place) Hop up unit - RA-T Hop bucking - red RA-T hop adjusters - AGM hop unit spring - AGM GHK mag seems to have a tendency

not concerned about saving on mag costs, I actually prefer the GHK design so was more a case of wether they fit but fail to function for some reason. If its just a fitting issue I'll take a gamble on it

how far out are the GHK mags from fitting the prime lower? (I dont mind taking a file to inside of the prime magwell it would be gettign refinished anyway)

that part being missing or not wouldnt affect the latch on the other side (it doesnt provide any sort of stand-off) by sounds of it your new bolt was just the bolt itself (no fake ejector and no side latch part)? If so then I think reason for the problem is that the AGM side latch piece is looser (cos the rails of the AGM bolt that it rests against are thicker) I found it way too tough to fit a RA-tech plastic side latch (or CNC aluminium side latch) in place along with an AGM bolt. Even when it does go in it doesnt sit flush and the bolt binds up rather than retracting smooth

wrong part - the bit you're thinking of is on opposite side of the bolt carrier, the bit in that photo above is just a small side piece that was supposed to represent the real deals extractor bit of a fifty fifty tbh - if its left off it'll be somewhere else to pick up ###### but if its glued on less than 100 percent then it'll be something to work loose at worst possible time and jam something up.. so really comes down towether the OP is confident about doing a decent glue job on it

I'm using Ra-tech red bucking along with the RA-tech hop unit, stock AGM barrel and AGM arm - one thing that does seem slightly different is the outside of the Ra-tech bucking has slightly different profile to the AGM one, not sure if its enough to affect operation of the arm though, I can try assembling it with the AGM bucking to see if that makes any difference

775 grammes for the original one, versus 475 grammes for the GHK (which is pretty much within half an ounce or so overt hat of a fully loaed AR mag) Not got any issues with GHK mag insertion - using the ino mag catch the mag slides and clicks into place and will drop out under its own weight soon as mag release is pressed. Only modification over standard lower is that mine was stripped of paint and then dipped in bath of caustic soda for long enough to remove all trace of the fireselect markings. Not suggesting anyone does the same lol but does suggest any tightness in the mag
