  1. it's very long gun ------------------ where i can buy it ?

Airsoft Armoury have them for £369.99

Anyone know where I can get a screw that goes under the barrel just behind the gas block (not in the gas block)? I asked AA when I went up there (as it never came with one so the front end keeps coming lose) but they just said I would have to pay to send it off to their technician. They couldn't give me his number as it's residential and I gave my number to give to him and they never did <_<

  2. Also Trigger Happy I envy you with your 8 Mags :D

Only 4 are mine, the other 4 are going with the new MP7 to my mate. However, this weekend I get to dual wield as he with his girlfriend for valentines day. There is one upside to being single :D

  3. I think you misunderstand. The Ready fighter nozzle is just stronger than the original, it doesn't add any power.

Chrono the for sale gun to see.

As for 351 from a KSC Jap (.2, on green) at 2C? Well done. You have either done some work on the gun, got very lucky or knackered the chrono. I've not seen or until now, heard of, a stock KSC Jap, doing more than 330fps, .2, green @ 20C.

Are you sure the mag was 2C & not out of your nice warm car or pocket?

Is the gun definitely KSC Jap, 350fps, sounds more like a KWA?

Where did you get it? Is it stock? What chrono did you use? & why do you want to pay £550 for another, when this one is obviously working so well?

Sorry for the Spanish inquisition, I'm just interested. :)

    Greg.

    Lol, inquisition begins...

*without trying to sound like i'm being an *albatross** I know the nozzle adds no power.

He told me that when Firesupport tested it (they installed the new nozzle for him) it was doing 350fps using 0.28g bb. That makes the assumption that it was fired indoors where the temperature was probably 20-25C.

My current MP7 isn't stock; when I bought it I put in a Shooters Design CNC rocket valve. It is deffinately KSC as it has the right trades, box and iirc a RF nozzle doesn't fit the KWA without mod(?). When I first took it out to the field, it chrono'd at 300fps on Green gas, the temperature was so cold that the valve on my gas bottle froze open when filling the mag.

When I took it out last weekend it gave 351fps on Green without putting the mag in my pocket, it was rather a nippy morning (frost and ice) and when I got in the car to go home the claimed temp was ~2C.

The chrono seems alright, my G36 came in at the right power and my DMR was about right.

I bought a second on behalf of my mate because he was going to have mine off me if I didn't like it*.

Plus the guy I bought it from had 7 mags for it including 3 brand new so we will both have 4 mags each. It does look like it has never been used and he has never fired it in anger (hence he was actually able to part with it).

    * I'm not buying it on his behalf because he isn't UKARA registered, I am at uni and he is back home so he wouldn't be able to do it himself.

    Trig

  4. As said, stock, this will be a comparatively low 310fps at 20C, a lot less when colder. Not too much of a problem, as the gun still functions, but a possible handicap, outdoors, during 350fps games.

    Greg.

It's already been upgraded with the nozzle and the plan is to get a NPAS in it straight off. Might get one for my current one but Sunday gone it was firing 351fps at 2 degrees C on Green and ~330fps on Ultra. It easily held it's own against most of the AEGs in the field.

  5. I did do some math and it would pan out at about the same price if I were to import one, inlcuding approximate tax charges. I did mention to the guy about the nozzle springs and it is something i would probably check for myself before taking it out into the field.

The guy did say that other people were offering their first born children as an exchange, but i requested first refusal. Early bird gets the worm :P

  6. I'm after a quick bit of advice...

I've been offered an KSC MP7 which has been upgraded by a shop with a readyfighter nozzle, not seen action in the field but has been used. It will come with 6 extra 40rd mags making a total of 7. The guy wants £550 for the lot.

Is that a bit steep considering I picked up my first one for about £240 (stock condition) with one mag. Makes it £250 for the gun and £50 a mag. I know they are rare but there's a limit...

  7. Cheers NJ, how much were they?

I've reassembled mine with the remaining spring now held on the nozzle with a blob of Loctite. It seems to work alright but am concerned as to if this will affect it's performance.

  8. It was chrono'd today at my site doing 310fps on Green. Bear in mind the temperature outside was approximately zero, if that!

Only one small issue... Start of the day as we prepared for the first game I did a quick few shots then a short burst to check if it would work (which it did) and put it in it's holster. Got to taking a few shots while waiting around at the far base for the start of the game (was marshalling) and it refused to fire.

Long story short, mangled nozzle spring the first time I took it out!

Readyfighter has 'em! I got mine from them. Can't really say if they are reinforced or not though.

You got a link? I'm having trouble finding them

  9. Just fitted an upgrade Ready Fighter nozzle and a Shooter Design Rocket Valve to my KSC version. Seems to be working ok at the moment. Only thing is I am now after a NPAS (which makes buying the rocket valve a waste, unless someone here would like to have it off me). Where is the best place to get an NPAS kit from?

Also, Redwolf apparently have KSC 20 & 40 round mags in stock. I would order some but cannot justify over £80 for 2 mags! Damn being a student :(

  10. Not sure about the rest but having a vented base plate on this gun is pointless. The pistol grip has a cap on the bottom so any heat is kept inside anyway. I've not found it getting too warm, though I never use it (intensionally) on full-auto. I have done rapid semi and found it's alright, assume most of the warmth i can feel is due to the body heat from gripping it.

I did like that last time I was home, I used this in a game where the objective was to stop the opposing team coming across the field divide. I lay in the trench in th ecorner on one side and sniped 2 guys who were checking out the gap. After that I didn't see anyone else, those who got through went to the other end.

  11. Gah! That sucks.

I found that once the hop settled a little, the range was almost impressive for the power it was giving. Guess it will have to live with the standard barrel though :(

I found out that the mag release uses a 1.3mm allen key. Who would have one laying around unless they were a modeller. I searched for ages to find one and ended up having to buy a special set of allen keys from a model shop for £15! <_<

  12. Happens to be, I have a PSG-1 barrel. heeheeheee. I think mine is only a 550 though.

    Thought the PSG1 was a 590mm std and the PSG1+ a 6**mm

On further investigation and a thread found on another forum. A PSG1 standard barrel is 590mm, which would fit this quite nicely (PSG1+ is 650mm). Though, I need to check how much the inner barrel falls short. PSG1 might be a touch too long, which would mena cutting it. If that's the case, I'm not going to bother.

  13. I found that I was missing a grub screw on the underside of the barrel, just behind the gas block, this was allowing it to come loose easily. I managed to find one that fits and it is much better now.

I agreed about the buttplate and the selector switch. KA should have put in a bit more effort.

After a bit of playing with it, I have got quite impressive performance. Am looking to get a 590mm PSG1 barrel, to bring it closer to the end of the outer barrel.

  14. I picked one of these up at War and Peace this year and have to say that I am rather impressed with it. It is a very nice rifle to told and use, with a decent amount of weight behind it, without being overly heavy.

My first chance to use it was at The Mall in Reading, not the idea location, but I was left little choice when both my mates guns failed and I had to lend him my G36. The front RIS actually became quite helpful to mount my M3 to for sneaking around the basment. When I did get to shop level, it was clear that the rifle did have a range advantage. One little niggle is the power that it produces, when first chrono'd it was kicking out ~300 fps and when at my home site, about 3 weeks ago, it was doing ~260. Despite this unknown drop in power, it was still ranging better than a lot of guns that were running 320+. To really use this rifle to its potential I think that it could use a boost from something like an M100.

As FarEast stated, the life span of the texture on the stock will be limited and mine has started to be affected from where it rubs constantly on my kit. and other objects it comes into contact with, such as branches. The one other problem I had with quality was the 190rd hi-cap they provided. When being wound the little tab that stops the bbs from coming out was clearly minutely too small and therefore when the spring reached a certain tension, bbs would spray out and the mag would unwind. Thus leading to only being able to part-wind it before being put in the gun, and having to wind it the rest once loaded.

To gain the look like that on the box I added the scope and bi-pod from my G-spec. It sets the rifle off very nicely and really gives it more of a DMR appearance. However rear of the scope sits back too far and does partially obstruct the cocking handle.

Overall it is a very nice rifle and the quality is impressive, even compared to my G&P M16. Only problem areas are the stock and the power output.

On a side note; FarEast, is there a certain way to seperate upper and lower receiver? I have tried removing the body pins & bolt release but it still feels as if something is holding it together, and I am unwilling to use force.
