Yea, my slide locks back. I only shot 1 and a half mags through it at room temperature. Haven't really had a chance to shoot it much, since it was dark outside, late at night, and didn't want to make a bunch of noise in the house haha.

I find that the compact frames are easier to handle. Shot a real steel 21, and it just felt like such a large gun... didn't have the control that I have with a 19. I guess it could be a difference in the .45 to the 9mm.

Anodizing would definitely be a better solution for a dull silver color. Using sandpaper and polish just won't get it done quite like that. For my silver, I just sanded it down with some rough grit paper to remove all the paint, and used an 800 or 1000 grit to smooth it out, then used toothpaste as a polish. It wasn't a mirror finish, but it was a "shiny" silver.

Let's revive this thread a little. Just finished adding some parts to my G19. New set of sights, and trademarked slide. Still looking for a trigger safety and some misc internal parts.

Looks good. I might have to get one now, as my cant mount looks a little odd on mine.

Me with my m4 cqb... Kind of a contractor look, but more so a colder weather loadout.
