  1. I too am interested to see how these perform. I am a big fan of the ASCU gen2 and was horrified how royally they screwed the pooch when they launched the gen3, which has stopped me buying any of them. I also had nothing but trouble with the old AWS Raptor so I'm hoping these spectres are a cut above both of those and give me what i need otherwise i'm gonna go any buy up as many ASCU's gen2's as i can.
  2. Take the stock, stock tube off and then carefully cut the heat shrink off the wires. That's the sheath around BOTH wires not the red and black insulation on the individual wires ok. If the wiring is okay ie no nicks or breaks. Get some new heat shrink, slide it over and heat so it, we'll, shrinks and then reattach the connector put the stock tube back on and screw together bang on the stock and boom-good to go!
  3. I'd say a surefire scoutlight or clone thereof would be a better investment and look damn cool too!
  4. My WE SIG P226 navy. Fully trademarked and I believe they're correct too. Might go and dig out all of my SIG's actually. Here we go! All bar the KSC SIG PRO SP2022 are WE. Fitment of frame to slide etc seems spot on. Range is good with .25g BB's and running on propane they kick a little bit like a .22LR handgun if memory serves me! The markings are nice and crisp on the P226 non railed navy, got a thing for non railed SIG's ATM. Markings on the SP2022 aren't as good, neither is the slide as its worn down and won't lock back after 2-3 mags so I hardly use it now. Might bu
  5. My little HK family of rifles/ smg's as it stands. I have some pistols too but they're tucked up resting for tomorrow
  6. The ascu does have low drain protection but My understanding of this statement is that it is when in normal use, ie whist being used within a game. If the ascu detects the battery power is getting too low it stops the gun functioning giving you the chance to take off the worn out battery and recharge it before it is permanently damaged. I have never ever thought it meant "leave a battery connected it'll be fine". There's no off switch on the ascu so if you leave a battery connected it WILL drain it. You won't be able to fire the gun as the MOSFET will have detected insufficient power to cycle
  7. Damn! Those photos are making me want to get a nova slide for my TM XDM now!!
  8. All bar the bottom one obviously! The M&P's And the ickle baby compact next to a 417 mag
  9. My little cerakoted M4's with a little light reading in the background!
  10. Same, mine empty a mag and lock back even when it's brass monkeys outside! All of mine did need the hop sorting though.

Just use normal pistol mag pouches, they fit fine. As to how well do they last, theres at least 15 in our team and all bar one are working fine and even out ranging some AEG's at times. all of them will empty the mag and lock back even in the winter unless you try to do a mag dump as fast as you can but I've only had one pistol over the last 15 years that has done that sucessfully. Overall, they are very good and my go to pistol, well, that or my M&P's. Oh, and +1 for kydex. love it!!
  12. This was for my new HK416, which I couldnt get so it'll go on the new M4 RIS instead. I've had one of these before and in all fairness it was ! the wiring was very poor and thin BUT when I saw this and it even had surefire trademarks down the side I thought; why not! it was about £40 from RSOV. The box was a plain card affair with Element branding on it but it did the job of protecting what was inside. the grip is a significant step up from some of the other versions and the build quality and overall fit and finish is excellent. There are several ways to operate the grip once it is mounted.
  13. I've got to agree with you. I've stopped using anything else and having spoken to the guys at xpert tactical at length I am reassured that it is perfectly safe for airsoft use on any material due to the component ingredients. In fact, every new pistol i get now has athorough cleaning and relube using froglube. It's pretty handy for gearboxes on the gear spindles, piston o-ring, runners and on the bushings/bearings too.
  14. Once I receive my HK416 from WGC I'll add that. In the meantime here's my current HK weapons. The 417 is VFC obviously and the MP7 is TM and stonking it is too
  15. True but it is my preference as it fits the hand better. I doubt I'll run it like that though. Right I'm off to order a bucket load of ickle mags.
  16. Ask and thou shalt receive! Next to a HK417 mag to show size With torch and large mag in. I actually prefer this configuration
  17. Mate says that the M&P is a snug fit in a serpa which normally takes KSC/TM glocks so the choice is yours. Personally; I've gone for kydex over serpas this time. I may get the M&P serpa at some point but right now the holster situation at my house is silly with over 15 of the buggers. Oh, an the M&P compact actually looks better with the full size mags - If you just ignore that stupid toucan on the grip extension that is.
  18. I'm sure a friend says the M&P fits in a glock serpa holster. I'll double check. Meanwhile in other news. This arrived today
  19. I knew you'd come around mate . I'm gonna get some decent glow in the dark paint and re do my sights. Re the hop. It seems there's a groove in the hop unit and a notch on the hop wheel. One or the other needs filing down iirc. I'll ask my mate as he's done his. I'll be doing mine tomorrow.
  20. The latest addition to the transport side of things for me. A nice way of taking both GBB smg's out in one case. Will try to put some mags in as well but I don't think they'll fit.
  21. I believe all future WE XDM'S won't have any markings at all so bye bye XD on the grip etc. TM have kicked up a stink from what I heard.
  22. Alright! Sheesh I concede mimesis; it's fundamentally flawed and people should avert their eye when one is in their presence. lol As te tinterweb is renowned for the loss of humour in posts. The above comment ^^^^ was made heavily in jest Honestly, the angle is off on the WE: for 99% of us that's fine. It isn't 100% accurate as it has no trades on it anyway and I'm sure most folks especially those of us with no access to the real thing who want one will let that go. As I've said. It shoots beautifully, goes in to the aim easily and feels right in the hand. Not having a go but as y
  23. If you notice the fishscales on both line up with where the back strap angles downwards so it's only at the front where the lines are out. Maybe it's vagaries of Airsoft model production versus real gun production. IDK One thing I didn't mention was the mold line down the frame is quite prominent. Again, this hasn't bothered me and I can't say I notice it everytime I pick the pistol up but it is there and you can see it so I should include it in this review.
