  1. well, if 4RAR use M4 variants at times, I don't see why they won't also get other toys to play with from time to time.

Just not the same sort of quantity as thei-R 'flashe-R cousins', I expect. :)

  2. ebay.com.au

    that has auscam.

Hong - geek! That was a good game too. Do you have any pics of me in my auscam at all? And.. should I post some of 'Brian' from Chch?

Danke - also need some aussie boots. :)

Sniper64 -nice NZ DPM there too, mate. :)

  3. Cheers, They are painted by a team mate of mine, and he definantly has some skills in painting rifles. I will try and get some better pictures for you guys and post them up.

Getting more paint mileage, D? :D

Here is one of em in a natural field.

I really love how the paint has destroyed the outlines... better than souske's easily, IMO.

there is a better picyure or two out there somewhere. :)

  4. Actually.. there are a couple of other problems there

Stock size - not good for someone of a larger build, or someone with long arms. They will need to mod/add stuff/padding to the stock to get it to fit 'comfortably' to the shoulder for sighting... (at least that was what I found with mine)

Plastics - as you have noted, are they very prone to stripping (with the screws) out. Take care with the screws on the grip as well.

That hop-up unit is the biggest issue if it is plastic. I didn't think the plastic ones were around still.. since it has been what.. 3+years since the metal units appeared?

    Btw, what is this

Change the method of chambering bbs. I am not sure how to do this mod, but I bet it could be done
    that you are talking about?

Do you mean the system that pulls the barrel back to the magazine to chamber a round JUST before the striker hits the magazine's gas release valve?

  5. Nice to see an oldie re-released from KSC.

Any chance of some shots of the inside of the slide - the blow-back unit and so forth?

Hopefully they have changed the system.. I doubt it but I hope. :)

  6. Blimmin heck.

Now, I remember my M945 KSC.. and that (with Abs slide/frame etc) was not even CLOSE to that power output.

How the heck did that get increased/improved?

Is the BBU more like their Glock than their M945/USP/SIGPRO series?

Det- have you heard of this model being offered via HK or TW at all?

  7. well, having shot the P08 4in, I was impressed with the heft of it.

The sights leave much to be desired, but that was the thing back then.

Even though I know it has the button eject, I was still suprised to not see a 'european' magazine release.

Good firing.. the action makes it feel 'smooth', but the accuracy leaves much to be desired - shots all over the show at the 30m mark. This is a gbb for closer than that. Be interesting to see if the 6 and 8in barrels change this. Can also have to do with the whole barrel/upper moving about too.

  8. hey, at the least it can be used as a trial gun.. for sanding trials, painting trials, part trials, trial and error trials, trialing people's patience.

I would like to know how it works/performs too.

Just because the magazine looks MARUI.. (mauri is a maori word.. :) ) what about the gas chamber.. the loading mechanism, the hopup?

  9. query.. you say the TM mags "appear" to be compatible. I have found that the KJW SIG226 mags work in this (from memory about a query about the 229), but IIRC, the KJW and TM magazines were not identical swaps... one worked in both, but the other only worked in one? TM compatible then and the KJW magazine ONLY for the KJW SIG?

  10. Morning one, morning all.

A post in the 5.1 take down thread here: http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/inde...howtopic=105996

Now then.. Those links were fine and dandy.. until it seems a few days ago.

I have also checked the original thread in Technical, and that too has also failed.

    Am I mis-reading things?

    Did Photobucket do some link-breaks?

Did the forums get cutnpasted across and have various links get changed at the same time?

    Thanks

    Jono

  11. Really good polishing job! Much better than alot of the "Lets go at it with 200... Oh this is too much work" jobs you see nowadays!

I've always had a bit of a soft spot for the raptor...

Anyway, quick question, I want my next build to be a 1911, are there any kits out there that are ornately designed? I'm hoping it to be a "gentlemens" 1911, if you get what I mean, I cant seem to findmuch on unCO and WGC.

    Thanks!

    Dom

Curious.. the nearest thing to an 'ornate' 1911 was that ex-General 'release'... or ... (and a custom one-off job at that) a KJW metal M9 that was done in the Phillipines..

Custom gold plated(it looked like) and major custom engraving.

    Very classy.

Why not get one done... a bog standard Springfield or kimber (or colt!) slide, and then get it custom done?

  12. the blade bullets for the super rare Asahi M700 and M40 that could be modded to fire actual ammunition that prompted a Govt enforced recall?

    Yummy!

Any word/hear-say on how effective the blade bullets were (or accuracy.. etcetc)

And hang on a second.. shouldn't this thread be in "General" or something?
