Morning one, morning all. A post in the 5.1 take down thread here: http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/inde...howtopic=105996 Now then.. Those links were fine and dandy.. until it seems a few days ago. I have also checked the original thread in Technical, and that too has also failed. Am I mis-reading things? Did Photobucket do some link-breaks? Did the forums get cutnpasted across and have various links get changed at the same time? Thanks Jono

Curious.. the nearest thing to an 'ornate' 1911 was that ex-General 'release'... or ... (and a custom one-off job at that) a KJW metal M9 that was done in the Phillipines.. Custom gold plated(it looked like) and major custom engraving. Very classy. Why not get one done... a bog standard Springfield or kimber (or colt!) slide, and then get it custom done?

the blade bullets for the super rare Asahi M700 and M40 that could be modded to fire actual ammunition that prompted a Govt enforced recall? Yummy! Any word/hear-say on how effective the blade bullets were (or accuracy.. etcetc) And hang on a second.. shouldn't this thread be in "General" or something?

Another "S&W" auto (full size) would be the range of M945s by KSC. They even do a compact M945C too

I could get my KSC Glock 17 to be as (almost) as accurate as my 5.1. Maan. I miss that sucker.. sigh.. (was the bullet-proof version too) Once again though, I am waiting for someone in this country to get one of the KSC 226s in..

definately agree with ya there. The ABS on that Magnatech slide seemed very ... soft. It would last longer on the flow restricter from AI, but it did feel very nice. A definite candidate for a metal frame and use the internals.

how do you find that? I found that while the grip was nice, the medallion recess edges was rather GRR on my hand. I also disliked filling those magazines. APART from that.. very nice. I liked shooting with it.

Oh yeah.. something that bugs the ###### out of me with KSC's manual. The one they supply is for the 2340... which has a different part quantity and numbering system. I cannot even ORDER the parts that I need as they are not even shown.

a mixture of things. The oring that holds the inner barrel to the outer barrel is complete *albartroth* to re-install.. i had to make a plastic 'pusher' that is still not adequate to install it. the recoil spring is bleh.. have to have a spacer to get it back.. nice and crisply imo. the blowback to me is sluggish. but I LOVE the sights. I love the balance. I love the size the texture, the feel, the heft. Sigh...

mine has hardly ever ever ever worked. Frustrating. That is why I have never ever reviewed it. Oh fine, I could review on finish, feel etc.. (in which case I would sleep with it), but in practical terms, it is a paper holder.

Flaw 1- Slide notch (on standard) wears out too fast. Flaw 2- the stupid KSC gasket/seal rather than an oring in the magazine. This means that you NEED to get a KSC part, rather than get a different sized oring to fit. Flaw 3- Uhhh.. Too small for my hand...

either way.... good reading. I do now wish I had got the G17 instead of the 1911A1.. purely so I can recall what it was like against my KSC G3 (version 2) G17.. (you know.. the one that feels right, and has the markings in the right places.. )

LeeC -230 is able to be felt even at 20m... outside.. in bush. my MP7 has only ever shot as high as 235... so I am a fraction disappointed in the touting of this at closer to 270. I was hoping that with time and changes to the mech of it, that there would be greater and greater efficiencies happening.

how is the weather-proofing/water-fast nature of this stuff? Do you need to go over it with a finishing coat/spray of sorts?? interesting stuff.

I would not have thought that * was a valid search string character in this context, as I remember that to mean 'all'. I know, I can be slow at times. But I still think that the searching system here needs to incorporate an ability for a 3 character string. That is just my thought and does not detract from the wonderful folks here... maybe excepting that guy just above me.. Cheers (edit for spelling, cos I R slow.. >_< )
