I cannot remember if I answered it in forums or PM.
The slides were not 100%.. and now I cannot remember which one fitted and which one did not.
The frames are slightly different, as they are different size magazines as well.

well, based on the Tanaka SIG229, which really is for collectors and infrequent uses on HFC134a.. I don't think I would get a gbb from Tanaka.
A NBB is a whole other ball park.
Hvygear.. I suspect that it is just that KJW may have slightly higher 'lemon' percentages in some lines.
Their USP I would not go for, but I would get their SIG or their M9s (newer models)

Sledge.. I sincerely doubt that I will be able to get my hands on the KSC, KJW Tanaka and TM SIG 226s. (the hfc I have right discounted.. I didn't like it one itty bitty bit.. ) I still have not heard of anyone here getting a KSC 1911 for me to add that one.
Oh well.

$420US for something with the hopup sucking, dodgy 'appearing' tappet and piston. And a non-reinforced gearbox? I don't think that this looks like a good start at all.
Power? start with the cylinder. Get more straight away.
Lipo? nice.

perhaps have the wrap around the muzzle end of the barrel, a bit less umm 'tight' on it...
Giving it less a 'barrel shape'.
Otherwise.. a lot of nice work/effort.

I wonder how similar they are in comparison to the KSC versions. I had my hands on even the cheap/nasty KJW version on Saturday.. and heck. that was quite a novel wee thing.

just a little side note.. While the WE runs nicely and well on propane/silicon, it was fed 134a .. and sneezed..
I would like to run ET1600 through it.. to see how it reallly went.

This was one from the better of the two releases though.
Yes.. but I know of noone in NZ with the KSC model.. there is a far higher likelyhood of someone have KSC over KWA over here.
For people with areas of high temperature in summer, running on Propane/ET1000 I would definately suggest the WE... purely because of the metal. (unsure about the loading bit longevity.. but I expect that to be replaceable)
The TM for lower temperature environments... or for BB-IPSC style stuff *unless people are going for real cap. loads.
The Magnatech is purely class.. just 200gm toooo light...
The KWC is annoyingly good for the price (I had an update. I found that it cost $50US new..... it is apparently cheaper to buy in the states) and would be good to buy the KWC Colt (standard) purely as parts..

So is the pistol sights too low when using it as a rifle? and vice versa when using as a pistol?
personal preference really. a bit too low/uncomfy for me.

Not really as comparable as the TM and WE 5.1s... owing to dissimilar magazine design and capacity. but similar. I think I would go the TM for winter though.

I, too, am grumpy about the lack of 3 character search string allowability. Considering that there are a REAM of items out there with 3 letter codes.. KSC KWA KJW HFC to name just a few.
I am trying to find the problem and solve for the KJW SIG P226 (ahh those itsy bitsy search strings) yet.. it does not like them.
Is that a selectable feature?
