  1. Small update, yet to receive the bolt, but the current gen grey mag compatibility issue has been resolved with thanks to VFC. It involves removing a small piece of plastic from the magwell, I've uploaded instructions here: http://www.scribd.com/full/62805344?access_key=key-21zk6cxgfuvamekhrmr
  2. Nah my order was split into two packages, the bolt being in the second package which is yet to arrive. I did receive some standard grey VFC M4 mags, only to find that they will not lock into place on my 416, which is very disappointing after I went to the effort of getting assurances from VFC that they are compatible . The only difference that I can see between the black mag that came with the gun and the one's that I've ordered (apart from the colour) is in the moulding of the plastic mag cap.
  3. They've redesigned the BCG, so that it doesn't need a nozzle guide. I've one en-route, will provide pics & initial impressions when it arrives
  4. I've sent Kev at VFC an email regarding the issue and for more info about the re-designed bolt mentioned earlier, will report back any word from him.
  5. I'm looking at replacing it with an Prime allu BCG as I worry about the possibility of sluggishness caused by the heavier steel BCG. No problems with the trigger unit, but I have noticed that part of the bolt catch has become malformed
  6. Yeah that's in the photo above, in the middle of the picture. It was cracked in half, right through the middle
  7. Uncanny, I've the very same issue as of today kingdong! Very annoying as I rather liked the HK logo on the bolt... I've posted it on VFC's facebook page, hopefully the more of us that do so, the more likely they'll re-design the part .
  8. Excellent! Cheers for the info Amadem, will have to try it out
  9. Crikey you must have some strength to do that! I find it tricky to rotate with a full grip let alone by pushing against it with something like a screw driver or allen key
  10. Apologies for dredging this thread back up, but I'm wondering if any of the early adopters of the VFC M4 series have tried replacing the STANAG magazine shell with a RS or airsoft P-Mag/ E-Mag shell? I plan to try it myself otherwise but am hoping that someone here might have tried it already .
  11. Can't say conclusively as I have to wait until I get access to a chrono, but yeah it certainly seems more powerful than the 300 FPS advertised on LWA ( I'm using GG mind you). *EDIT* Another possible solution to the trigger pin rolling, it's for RS so I'm not 100% on fit but reports from other say that the VFC M4A1 reciever is Prime/ RS spec so I'm hopeful that this is also the case for the 416 . 12. Recoil is pretty assertive, I'll see if I can weigh the bolt tomorrow. I haven't seen any movement recently as I've since secured the pin from moving with some Loctite Threadlocker. It's also worth bearing in mind that it may just be my particular gun, as opposed to being something that will affect all VFC 416 GBBR's. So far I'm getting about a mag and a half's worth of bb's fired using one charge of gas on semi. Firing in full auto for longer than a 2-3 round burst tends to use a lot of gas due to the weather over here (cold & wet).
  13. VFC 416 GBBR A new edition, further changes to be made when funds permit .
  14. Pictured in stock configuration with TD SCAR panels and Gear Sector hand stop. First impressions: * The exterior build quality is excellent, the guns construction is rock solid and the inaccurate trades are soon forgotten about once held . * Works like a charm so far apart from a lethargic full auto (due to the low temperatures outdoors). That said, with 35 rounds per magazine I don't plan on indulging in automatic too often . * The stock looks cumbersome when pictured but is very comfortable when used, it provides a nice cheek weld and a generous contact surface with the shou
  15. Warranty for gas guns is 30 days iirc, you'd have to ask them about their current stock levels though. That said, the fact that they needed to repair the gun rather than sending out different unit may suggest it was the last of their stock.
  16. I should have mine tomorrow (ordered from LWA). They were delayed in sending it as it didn't "seem to be cycling right.", which is a rather ominous sign but they must have gotten it sorted...
  17. Good news, I just received 2 separate confirmations from VFC that the cheaper matte grey mags do fit the VFC HK416 AG1212, no one knows for sure, but hold out for the Asia limited release (release date mentioned in an earlier post) as it may have more authentic trades.
  18. Great setup MRK, it sure makes me regret not picking up the FLC listed on Ebay earlier
  19. Looking forward to the completed loadout Pkekyo
  20. Chaps, Please make specific threads for your queries. That way, it makes it far easier for people with the same question as you to find their answer through the search feature. It also helps keep clutter to a minimum too . In the mean time, i'll keep the above posts there as a reference for other users to take heed. Back to pictures!
  21. Cheers Phillski, I was worried about that due to their comparatively high cost and rarity compared to the vanilla VFC STANAG mags sold elsewhere . At worst, hopefully it's just a matter of buying a Colt type VFC lower but that would definitely be a pain!
  22. Leapfrog, got a few short questions for you: Is the 14.5 inch barrel one piece? Or, can it be shortened like the AEG version? Is the version you bought from Landwarrior full-auto out of the box, or semi restricted like the German version? Have you tried standard (grey) VFC mags with it, or just the glossy black HK type mags that come with the gun? Cheers
  23. Looks good BP, how have you been finding the ten-speed pouches?
