Alright.. Got some reply on GGI.. Seems if the o-ring is not used there might be tilt on the outer barrel. But I am not sure why. Might be that the barrel and upper don`t fit 100% and that the o-ring help it get aligned. A bit strange method to get something straight.

Could anyone else check out if your barrel tilt a tad up? I had to shim my barrel to make it perfectly level. http://www.gasguns.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=695

UGH.. paint??.. you crazy? The differ between your average aeg and WE/WA(prime body) is that the body is anodized (Not all version of WE is anodized) . Not PAINTED.. like the aeg. So the metal actually take the oil inside somehow. Because next day when I start rubbing the body with my fingers to get that black finish I want. The metal is not sticky with oil anymore. Just not super dry like stock and with a more black finish. This works on the WE anodized version and WA prime body.. Did not work so good on the PTW lower receiver, but did on the RS upper receiver. T

aaalright.. I guess I need to be a bit more clear about things. The TOP picture is where I added oil.. The BOTTOM picture is where I have started to polish it. It give a more BLACK color instead of the WE GREY I don`t do this all the time either, but when doing this with a polish and dry it give a more black color when taking photos. The more black color give it a more real look. I can`t remember seen any real AR looking grey or blue (unless you talk about some old vietnam type or something)

As you can see.. Doing this on my WE and you could tell there is a noticeable differ between where I have added oil and not.

Gun oil.. Give it a more darker/realistic finish + protect it more against rain/weather. The WA is also treated but the ptw is not finished drying yet

9" rail and CQB length barrel. I was also thinking about 6" or 7.5" barrel with a 7" rail setup, but I have to get a new barrel first.

Like mine now.. With some real Magpul Moe, Tango pistol and some ladder with a touch of 416 iron sights. So you CAN pimp your WE also.. hehe. The Magpul moe fitted like a tight glove.. on the Tango pistol grip I had to use the original screw. seems the tango screw is a bit to large/thick PS!!!.. WETTI.. I could REALLY need some P-mags on this one..

Yeah.. not any problem. Used an adjustable wrench to fit the barrel nut. The DD adapter and barrel is rock solid. So the barrel nut idea work perfect. It would be a LOT easier with a lathe machine or milling machine. Might try that next with another one.

Nice one.. Don`t think I would have thought of that one.. I did the same now today. took me maybe 15 min or so. Had to adjust it a bit since I cut to little at the end facing forward. Made the DD MK18 9" rail bottom on the barrel nut before the adapter for the screws. Not that pleased with my rail.. Bought from Ebaybanned and it got a grey finish. It also crash against the upper receiver before getting flat against the DD adapter. So lot of screwing to get it aligned.

Look like chocolate to me..
