  1. Look at the receiver...SR25 :) or MK11 if you wish. Yeah it's a real SR25 not an Airsoft one. I thought it was intresting seeing a Surefire on it. Pretty cool gun..alot more front heavy than I thought it would be as well. Most of the Scout Snipers I talked too didn't like it though(But there where a couple that liked it..hence the pics)..they prefered the M40A1. The Seal snipers I have talked too love it though...go figure.

  2. @alark

Nice pics, I didn't have a few of those so good looking out. I would also like to know how you got that AR stock on the G3. I have been wanting to run either a crane stock or a 416 short solid stock on a G3.

  3. A first line is supposed to be more like "life support" than "the stuff that didn't fit on my vest". Since the first line is supposed to be the last to go, it should be relatively small, and only have the essentials (E&E, maybe an IFAK) to start with, a few additional things like a holster, dump pouch are OK too, but not your entire stash of rifle mags, etc.

A belt kit is whatever you want it to be, anything carried on your belt, be it 10 mags, or the Taj Mahal.

As I have been trained 1st line is belt kit and the the "Life support" is in your E&E kit.

  4. Does anyone here know if the G&G FS51 and the CA G3/CA33 series front sets attach in the same fasion? I need the G&G lower for a proper G3K and was thinking of getting an FS51 and a CA33K and just swapping the front sets. Does anyone know if this is feazable? I am over seas right now and need to order all this stuff while I am not at home..otherwise I would just get it and tinker..any help would be appreciated :).

    *EDIT*

Still would love to know the info above..and did some more research and Azulsky pointed me in the right direction pages ago..I had been searching WGC shop and couldn't find the lower I was looking for but found the old link in this thread..you guys rawk. But it would be cool to know about the FS51 CA33 front set thing too...so if anyone knows..:)

  5. Wow Castle that is utterly amazing. I use M240's all the time at work and if I saw that at a game I would actually have to question whether or not it was real. I showed these pics to a few of my other machine gunner buddies that aren't into Airsoft and they thought I was full of it when I told them this was an AIRSOFT gun. Seriously man Bravo F-ing Zulu on this.

I am pretty sure I haven't posted this on here. My M249 SFW:

It is a Classic Army base and has had the Echo-1 Ranger stock added as well as a G&P lower RIS, Real steel Gripod, MAG 100rnd style Nutsack, EOTECH 552 (The EOTECH isn't painted because it is from my M4 I use at work), unknown sling (it was given to me), and a Generic PEQbox for the battery.

My apologies if I have shared this before. I don't think I have though.

  6. So what I was wondering is whether I should use an IBH, MICH 2001, or MICH 2002. I'm asking from a purely aesthetic standpoint, what would appeal to you the most? I have little prior experience on which to base my decision. Thanks!

Dood who cares what appeals to a bunch of random people on the internet who for the most part have no idea what they are talking about and have never had to use the kit the reccomend for any real length of time.

The best thing you can do is if you have access to the different style of helmets try them on and see what you like. Find out what is comfortable for you and what is not.

If you are going to run Peltor Comtacs you might like the IBH more than the MICH 2000,1,2...you might like a PROTEC more than all the above..you may even decide you hate helmets and would much rather run a ballcap or boonie.

Get the gear YOU like and think works best and F everyone else. Like i have said before it is YOUR loadout and it means nothing what a bunch of Gearsnobs online think of it.

If you are looking to replicate a specific unit or time period that is a whole different story. Then you will need to figure out what was the rule vice the exception and go from there..but then again there is ALOT of leway here in this hobby. All you need is that one "Photo" to prove the legitamicy of your impression to the Gearqueer council...(God forbid you may have been downrange and seen it with your own eyes..PICS or it didn't happen runs rampant on these sort of message boards).

From my personal operational experience non-airsoft I have worn a few different types of helmets. I currenty wear a MICH 2002 and it is a great helmet It works well with Comms but still not as good as I would like. I have found that the MICH 2000 I have and use when back in CONUS feels a little better with a PRR headset that the 2002 for some reason. I have also worn USMC LW helmets in AIRSOFT and they are comfortable..but really similar to the 2002. I am not a fan of the IBH...I have only used it without PELTOR's on and I am sure with COMMS on it is awsome but the high ear is just uncomfortable to me.

Really though Try these different helemts on if you have the chance before making your mind up and buyin something you may hate.

  7. looks like you sold your URX vic? :) I was actually gonna take a look at it, but noticed it's vanished. :P

And I won't lie, I absolutely loathe those grippods.

I have yet to see them on something where the overall look and ergonomics seem to match the rest of the gun, and the fact that their sprouting up on sr-25's all over makes it worse still. Their such sleek slender guns, and they keep getting ruined by that^^^.

but hey, that's just my opinion. :P

They aren't the prettiest pieces of hardware but I use one on my M4 when I am in IRAQ and it is a really functional piece of kit. And it is awsome for quick on the fly DMR kind of shooting for FIBUA/MOUT games.

  8. It's not a CIRAS.

It is two separate things. Aussie issue body armour underneath, and a Sord rig of some kind over the top. Probably SCS chest rig front and backs.

    What's not a Ciras?
