It really isn't an issue of wanting the size, actually..I like it..I am used to th M60 is all. I use those at work and the SAW is so..cute...for an LMG..lol. So it kinda threw mw, once I looked at it with the Stock extended it was better.....does anyone know how to get the stock flash hider off? I want to put the metal flashider on that came with it and can't seem to get the other flashhider off.

Received my Para today, smaller than I thought it would be. My MP5 is not much smaller..lol. But it's sweet...Now I must wait to get the battery I ordered from Cheap batteypacks.com to give her a real test run. For some reason it seems like it is not 1:1 scale....seems so damn small.....Has anyone here actually used or seen a real 249? Is this thing same size?

I am ordering my Star249 Wendsday, I have decided on the PARA version. My only remaining issue now is, will a 9.6v Nunchuck battery I had made for my UTG MP5 fit in the Box mag? Or will I need to order a Large type 9.6v from Cheapbatterypacks when I order the gun? Thanks alot-

Here is my Rig, SDS Coyote Super RACK system. On the RACK I have a BattleLab Tactical Nylon ID plate, and Small radio pouch. 2 SPEC-OPS Mag pouches 1 X6 and 1 X4, 2 Generic Frag pouches, and a generic Flashbang pouch. Also on Righ is my Desert Low Vis Texas Flag patch..HOO-YAH TEXAS!!!!! -

Ok, so I can use a Small Tamiya pluged large type battery in the box mag with out any sort of extender? I think I understood that right?

I have read all the pages and wow, a ton of great info. I am getting a Star 249 in two weeks. Have a question. If I ws to order a Large 9.6 Battery Pack from Cheapbatterypacks.com but had small connectors on it would it work in the Box mag or do I need to have the adpater and the regular large connection.? Thanks for the help.

Well I am sold on this, myself and my team are all active duty E-4 and below (wait I lie we have two married with children E-5's so they might as well be as poor as the E-4 and belows:P) so money is tight. The main thing we have been needing for our 6 man formation is a heavy support weapon. Looks like this is th one, thanks for the great info Static. As far as slingd for this bad boy, the sling pins and such are metal right? I may have missed this before and if so I apologize for asking you to repeat your self- NAVY MA'S HOO-YAH!
