  1. Inert products is cool and they make some great stuff. I have used there stuff in the service during training. But they don't sell to civvies. It sucks because that stuff would make wicked cool Airsoft props. Nice stuff in here though.

  2. Empire Tac Plate Carrier:

Over all initial impression is very good. I will have more to say once I get the pouches in and get it loaded down. But so far WAY worth the money. Even if I order a Mayflower cumberbund kit for it to have Side plates it is still less than an HPC and would be sans front zip which is always better real estate wise.

Just a Paca with a Velye low-vis integrated into it to answer a forum member's picture request.

Piano that is just simplicity at it fu@%ing's finest right there my friend. Sleek simple and to the point. And I can't remember who had the AOR hugger but that thing is quite nice. But isn't all the RICAS, CIRAS, Hugger's etc..not plate carriers and more flak's? Anyway great stuff everyone. Ohh..and before I forget Pekyo your's is exactly that High-speed/low drag..and art.

  4. This is a picture I took as photo reference for something I am drawing right now but thought I would post it seeing as how it is my JTF-2 kit in the works.

I need a new M4 and a new P229 for it so excuse the .45 it is just there to take up space. Some of the kit serves triple duty for a CAG kit as well as some other stuff. I eventually would like to get an HPC for this kit in particular.

  5. Found a cool interview with a Kampfschwimmer on a diving website and took some stills from the video.

I thought the look was pretty cool and I dug the mixing of the flecktarn. Intresting to see alot of non German kit on him.

  6. Does the JG Advanced RIS AK (Krebs replica) top cover work on an Echo 1 AK74UN? I am looking to do a build based on a few illustrations for a comic book proposal I have been working on for a few months. I need some better props for reference for the Spetznaz in the story. Thanks for any help on this and if there is any tricked out AK74's you have seen with a fully railed top cover that would be cool too.

  7. I have never seen anyone use a lanyard in a turret. I did over 150 combat missions in a turret and I never wore one.

Yeah me neither...never used one on either deployment.

+2 for my first 2 deployments, then they put a leash on me :(

*edit for clarification not me in the pic ;) *

Ohh..the sex swing...I almost had to wear that thing but missed it thank god.

  8. The FROG stuff was the Corps (Army has a version) answer to the need for a flame resistant uniform to help protect from flash and to replace the flight suits that the grunts were wearing in theater. The FROG trousers and the Top are a little lighter than standard MARPAT and the top helps dissipate heat from the torso when wearing body armor. The shirt is not an Under Armor skin tight shirt at all but more like a T-shirt with BDU sleeves. CRYE makes the FROG for the USMC and there has already been a few different GENS of it in it's small life span so far. The Army has gone one step further and has a hot weather UBACS and a cold weather UBACS as well.

So in a nutshell it is just a flightsuit replacement that helps keep the grunt in the field a little cooler as well.

  9. what are RAID bdu? I keep seeing it mentioned, but I never knew what the difference between raid and normal bdu's was.

Big thing in the term RAID was the fact the mods were done for just that RAIDS. They were field mods that had been done for quite some time and as has been said were adopted from many years past. It gave operators the ability to put IFF markers on their cammies and have some pockets that were covered by the use of body armor. It wasn't until the early 2000's where the field mods began creeping into contemporary uniform designs that were becoming issues items. This coincided with the rise and commonality of the use of flak jackets and body armor as well. The reason the cammies were coined as RAID or in some circles OP tops was the fact that they were also not authorized for wear in garrison also. And yes SF guys and the like are held to the same basic standards when in garrison even in Iraq and Afghanistan. If they are not in a remote FOB or a compound they need to have names ranks and the like. Back in the day the mods that are common place were not authorized in said garrison area and more recently the frog style tops that are becoming more common were just like the RAID tops, field mods and custom jobs that were the same as the older RAID tops. Not authorized for wear in garrison and were for RAIDS and field work only.
