I'm still lurking...
Honestly couldn't tell you when I joined as it all reset when the forum crashed. I still remember the arguments as some had to change their usernames as they'd been snapped up by new members.
Only FB page I really use for Airsoft related research is The Full 9. Everyone else seems to want me to like and subscribe to their in depth appreciation of a cardboard box, with about 30 seconds of vagueness regarding its actual contents.

I'll probably start sounding like a broken record on this one, but IMHO ATACS-LE and Typhon are far too black to really go along with the Wolf/Urban grey kit that's been popping up. Kryptek Raid, now that's what you want for a grey loadout, but all the retailers/mfgs seem to have done the standard OD/Tan/Black product combo and gone with Mandrake, Highlander and Typhon.
And to be fair... You're right!

I really like the look of grey kit... Unfortunately as a woodland player it has very little use for me
Just thought I'd mention though.... The new A TACS LE is a lovely mix of greys. Originally it looked like blues and greys - but they've just put a photo up on FB, and it doesn't look blue at all (sorry, on my phone so can't post a pic).
I was going to pick up some Kryptec Typhon, for the pose factor - but LE may have just pipped it

I had ordered some of the 7.62 fastmags that are available at various China/HK websites.
Unfortunately they never turned up, so I'm unable to comment on them
I just use normal WAS pouches now, and ram an AK mag in. Not ideal, but the best option I have at the moment. Annoyingly it doesn't look like Warrior will be making AK Shingles in FG, as they've removed them from the website.

I'm not certain if the guy who makes them is publicising it here yet, I'll find out and get back to you.
Either way they're extremely nice patches, more a cool novelty for me than anything. But for milisim players/teams at those big games with a lot of NV kit floating about, pretty awesome.

I got a refund so I'm happy with that, pity about the crappy service and communications though.

I've managed to sell my LM4, so last night I took the plunge on (what I think at least) was a damn good deal;
Brand new (Sub<500 rounds, looks retail fresh from the pictures, including the mags) WE KAC Rail'd 14.5 M4, latest gen (3? 4?)
NPAS Fitted, original box, all tools and bits and bobs.
5 x Gen 2 mags
Element/ACM Scoutlight, Replica EOTech.
All told came to £450 and the Paypal fees - New would have cost me the same money but without any of the accessories, so reasonably pleased on the price, and the chap is dropping it off to me this evening.

Anyhow, I've got a few more reasonably simple questions..
14.5" Outer barrel, am I correct in thinking it's a 2 piece and thusly can be made 10.5"?
NPAS adjustment - Assuming I'm looking at the front face of the bolt/nozzle, gas key on top, which way is more power, which way is less?
Hop system - How necessary is a change of rubber? I use .3's, however I've got .4's which I'd like to try. I've got a game Sunday, so really I'd just like to know if the stock rubber is useable, or needs replacing straight off? If so I'll pop to Wolf or PAS this evening.

Barrel is 2 piece. Splits down as you say.
Npas - If memory serves, it's clockwise (looking at the boltface to lengthen the valve), and drop FPS.
Stock hop rubber is ok, but not great (very hard). I've replaced mine with a Firefly Soft - Which I still find overhops a .3 on a minimum setting - but I've not put a lot of rounds through it yet. Gonna try .4, even if it makes my wallet cry

How new is yours mate? WE made the first batches a bit meh, but later ones are all good.

I'm running an Angry Gun 6.03 with a Firefly soft in my XM177.
At 340fps with a .20, I'm still over hopping a .30 slightly. It's straight and level out to about 50m, and then heads slowly up (hop is on about as minimum I can get whilst retaining the bb in the hop).
Saying that, I've only put about 150 rounds through this hop, so I'm really hoping it beds in a bid. I don't mind using .40, but the players I'm shooting might

That's cool mate, I'm familiar with the PLB. I'm trying to find an FG chest rig in the UK. Failing that, I'll have to go with the Beez tactical rig.

In answer to my own "how many rounds does a 20 round mag hold" question, I've confirmed the answer as 20, despite what the WE manual says.
Luckily I managed to find this out before running out of patience, and breaking something

I saw this issue a couple of pages back, and it does indeed appear to be (very slightly) raised at the back. By about 1mm (so enough to tilt the feed lips out)
Stripped the mag down and reseated the top section, but it refuses to sit flush. Tightening the screw further is risking stripping the threads... The metal used for the screw itself is very soft!
Unfortunately unable to take a pic right now, but I think I've found the issue... Just not a way to fix it yet
.On another note. Do these 20 round mags take 20, or 30 rounds?? The manual states 30, but I've read that trying to force more bbs in than you should, will almost certainly break it, so I'm loath to find out just by trying to load 30 in.
Appreciate the help though... Ironically I went gas, as taking a gearbox apart just never goes well for me!

Hi guys...
I've taken the plunge and bought an OB XM177e2... Love it, great fun etc...
Quick fix needed please, I'm aware it's a known issue (by searching on the various forums), but nowhere seems to explain the actual fix.
I'm using the 20 round mags, and one of them doesn't want to sit properly. The magazine feed lips don't clear the feed ramp (correct term?), so the mag won't insert fully without a good smack (which seems to be the generally considered 'fix'). Whilst I'm not afraid to put a reasonable amount of force behind seating a mag, with the bolt locked back, I can see it's a good 1mm+ of overlap to overcome with brute force, and I'd rather not ruin the feed ramp, or excessively smash the mag lips (which are already showing wear from the couple of times I've given it a whack).
There is no obvious difference between this one mag with an issue, and any of my others which seat fine - So there's nowhere obvious I need to file down. Can anyone suggest a fix, or is this just one of those things, and I have a defective magazine?
Should I take a file to the front of the lips, or will that cause further issues?
Any help very gratefully received

The only issued sights are the BUIS, EoTech 552 and Elcan C79A2. Alot of guys will go out though and buy their own BUIS or optics, so lots of variety can be found.
Personally I've been using the issued BUIS for awhile, but I'll soon have a DIS for work.

You're quite right mate. Sounds weird, considering you do a lot of reviews.... I hadn't considered it a "review page", more of a niche sub section of Airsoft. Bit like the Sniper only pages, but with significantly less ego 😂
