hmmmmm, I need an M6. It really makes the P226 look so much better, but college before airsoft unfortunately.

The grips were about 28 dollars shipped I believe. As far as getting them to fit, it was a complete pain in the *albatross*. The RS P226s don't have the metal weight on the back as the TM does so you have to dremel out all that extra material. As I said before, it took me two days of dremeling because I was extra careful not to break through the rubber. The grips are made up of hard plastic on the inside and the soft rubber on the outside so basically you have to remove all the hard plastic material and some rubber to get the grip to fit properly. Does anyone know how difficult it is to install the Gaurder metal frame? I already did the slide but the frame looks really complicated!

Yep, got it in alright. Now I am just waiting for the Hogue grips to arrive and then I need to rationalize spending 50 dollars to have the metal frame installed. Then the P226 is done, finally.

Any more opinions on mine? I am really trying to give him some guidance so he can do it so I wont have to screw it up when it get it.

Nice little walkthrough mikey. I think I will go buy the houges tonight and try to fit them on tomorrow. But I have a question, on your second pic, is that spring the hammer spring? And if so, how hard is it to open up the grips and replace it? Im only asking this because I just got a Guarder hammer spring.

Well its either order the parts and try to put it together myself or pay 45+ dollars to get it upgraded. I think im going to try it, its good practice anyway. Now I just have to figure out which one to break first, my P226 installing a metal frame or my M14 trying to upgrade it.

Very nice. I really like the look of the OD stock, too bad i have the wood one. And too bad im completely terrified of doing the upgrades myself.

I used my M14 in my first ever airsoft game on sunday and it performed perfectly! Even stock it outranged many of the upgraded guns on the field. In my first game I successfully sniped someone from a good 150+ feet. I cant even imagine what it will be like with some upgrades and a tightbore barrel.

The piece that you remove to attach the scope base, I belive, is a guide for 7.62mm stripper clips that is on the RS M14. Other than that I cant answer your other questions.
