Agreed that the situation has been handled badly, but what exactly are you hoping to gain from contacting Trading Standards?

 

It's a unique case as I imagine an engraved item would count as used. How exactly did you order two, was it just human error, website faulty or badly designed?

Keep getting weird hangs at different times of day, had one about half an hour ago and one at 9.30 this morning.

 

During this time a page simply won't load, it simply stays on "Loading page..." and doesn't even time out!

 

It's not a big one, more a lesson in patience but I presume it's not meant to be happening.

 

EDIT: Just had another one, Firefox crashed this time on the hang (first time that's happened), now I'm starting to suspect that I may be having client side issues too but only on this site.

 

Possible incompatability with my browser and the forum software?

Indeed, I just can't remember how and/or why the old search engine worked better! The thread list on profiles works just great if only it went back further than a year.

Just a quick one;

 

On the old search engine it gave the ability to search for authors of content, but specify whether you wanted that specific users posts or threads.

 

Now the new one has the same function, but the "show as posts/threads" only defines the way it displays the results, as individual posts or as a topic list.

 

Any such searches only display a list of topics that the user has posted in.

Seems to have cropped up again, my posts only date up to 2nd December using the My Content option.

 

In my profile, the short list of post previews is up to date but using the advanced search the latest post only goes up to 20nd Nov! Very odd.

The problem seems to have returned unfortunately, your posts and mine for the last few days are not showing up in my searches though the User Content option or using the main search function for all posts under a specific author.

Just a quick one, I know the search database is being retrofitted but there doesn't seem to be a mention of this yet.

 

 

Basically for myself and everyone else I've tried, the 'Find Content' option when hovering the mouse on someone's username is not displaying up to date results. Mine from the example linked is only showing 07 October as my latest post whereas I have posted (too) many times since then, including this post which will more than likely not show up.
