  1. Been awhile Arnie folks,

My take on the issues is one. Lube. Apparently the gun comes out of the box dry and also not worn in as well. The BCG nozzle not retracting is fault of either two things. Lack of lube (not silicone spray) on the nozzle and the inner walls of the upper reciever. This will fix two things: the bolt jamming BBs and wear.

Now as precaution I do oil the side of magazine lips with lube but this seems to help MAYBE to also avoid the left side of the magazine lip to be scrapped off.

The bolt catch issue is either two things. The magazine was not fully gassed. OR the mag catch lever inside the lower receiver has worn down or the BCG notch cut has worn down to a slanted shape to allow the BCG to slam forward.

The jamming issue is comes from lack of lube on the entire BCG, nozzle, and piston. It should solve that. Another possible case is maybe silicon spray into the hop up area is causing it to swell or either make the BB slip through and sit while the next BB chamberd slams into it causing the breakage.

The damaged BB follower has got to be the result of the steel nozzle slamming on an empty magazine. Now this is the case I see. 1) You inserted a empty mag, charged the bolt, let the bolt slam forward. The nozzle should scrape the follower. 2) not enough gas in the magazine while shooting causes the gun to NOT propel enough gas to lock the BCG back but instead slams into home on an empty mag. That second issue can be hard to avoid without properly gassing mags.

Leaking magazine got to be the Production line QA.

Also not listed, people had issues with the hop up gear snapping off. This is the metal quality used I am sure.

  2. you might need to link me pics is the vltor a1 a mod stock or the a1 style full stock.

Size wise the stock should all fit on the sopmod, the stock pipes about 1mm wider than normal stock pipes which isnt really that much. But if you try and fit the sopmod stock on a normal aeg stockpipe, although it fits, the little pin which locks the adjustable stock in place doesnt reach the little locating holes, so it goes on, but slides up and down becuase its a little to wide.

so normal aeg stocks id invision a tight fit, but i should go one and worst case if the pin was to long its easier to shorten than it is to lengthen.

If its and a1 or a2 style full stock youll need to drill a hole in the sopmod endcap in the stock tube and push a bolt through from the inside so you can tighten a full stock on with out it being all loose. once the bolts nice and tight on there chop the excess off and fit the full stock end cap / battery cover. youll need to rewire but thats not a prob just run the wiring where the old wiring was but with some extra and leave it hanging in the full stock battery compartment. room for a mosfet too lol

The A1 and A2 Vltor Mod Stock are actually ver similar in design with the exception of the small battery compartment, but here is a link to the real vltor stock

  3. Just a question, would the Vltor A1 Clubfoot stock fit? I haven't bought one of the stocks to try out since I can't find one locally at the moment. Laylax has one version with the battery compartment too for normal AEG, but I am not sure on the compatibility with the Sopmod style crane stocks with the battery or even with the real A1 clubfoot stock.

  4. I've been shooting atleast 4000 rounds so far as I bought the gun back in November, and the motor is holding up with my 9.6v. I use mostly 120 round midcaps @ about 32 -/+1 mags. I believe the selector issue is working okay for me as I'm using a 9.6v, however the Semi-auto selection must be in the correct lineup or else it might be the reason the gun will lock up.

  5. I'm expecting that too, Shinden. However, knowing what KWA does to lower the power, more than likely, it's just the rocket valve is going to get the plug style one that comes with the KSC/KWA US version MP7. And if that's all it is, then I have a spare Firefly rocket valve for KSC Glock sitting in my parts drawer. :)

You and Ryan were always TMP prepared you know. I was always trying to get into the TMP wagon, but the excessive maintenance put me off on buying one. I will have to still buy the KWA Taiwan version because of Trademarks and the 400FPS power. Hoping for more things from KWA later.

Its ironic that Allizard said in his video they have to lower the power for US, however you do have guns like the KWA KM4/KG36 series shooting at 400FPS. It isn't any different if the gun was made into smaller compact weapon or a longer weapon. In CQB, most players will prefer to play with 350+FPS guns.

  6. Found a photo of my old AR...notice how the opening is rather large. It's designed to fit over a standard A2 flash hider. The small marking is a stamp that reads "REA"; refers to "Re-bar Entry Attachment". It's made by LM&T.

Do you mind if you can tell me what that part is you have mounted on the bottom of the RIS handguard?

  7. I have just recieved my Tavor and upon inspections these are as follows:

The magcatch is soft, however even depressing the magcatch button, the magazine cannot fall out on its own without it being pulled. Only while the magcatch is depressed, with enough force or vigorously shaking the gun will let the magazine drop out.

The MARS sight still has parralax issues and the reddot remains dimly lit on with batteries in and switch in the off position. The laser is the same as all other Tavors.

The rear sight mold areas on my Tavor is very crisp and no mold issues or cracking.

The motor is not shrink wrapped and the wire is soldered, probably for better resistance.

No issues with semi auto switch to full-auto or vice versa.

No rattling of magazine in magwell and no other parts rattle.

The only issues I have is just one thing, I want to know if its normal if your Tavor's motor make small sparks as you shoot. (*You have to look directly from the top of the motor cage with the butt stock opened and fire, and you'll see small sparks. I'm pretty sure this is normal, but I am wanted to make sure it's not wiring issues.)

Overall, very satisfied, shoots at 1.46J/121.4m/s = 398.FPS on .20g and its the CTAR-21 Black ver. I'm surprised why its shooting very...high.

  8. I am curious to what areas you have filed on that part to make it fit on the TM AUG?

ACOG, both scoped and railed versions of the AUG exists in the game. I'm tired of all these MW2 references.

  9. I was going to buy the Tan Tavor however I noticed the shortage of the black model so I went with that. The Tan model apparently has the longer inner barrel, but I don't know by how much. A sales rep told me the Tan version shoots way better and he likes it over the black model. The problem for me was I never saw a real steel Tan Tavor.
