  1. Anak, ah, nice to know.. I was going to go with a .05 PDI. have you tried the 08's? that and a 120% should keep to .98J right? also, have you tried any half-tooth pistons in yours or measured up one to the OEM yet? say, a Promy or Deep Fire? Romel, here ya go.. it's like the ARMS reports at 8m range. (fyi, it's a quick 'n dirty test. done standing. .20g Excel BB's -though, I think it's more to a real gaming grouping compared to bench resting.)
  2. Thanks AnakChan. I've been following that guy as well too. also Echigoya is doing FET installs and elecrical work too (Akiba store)
  3. Hendrix, would you happen to have a parts list from Pinnacle on what they put in? and if the piston is different from standard. a pic on that would be nice thanks! Romel, thanks for the clarification personally, from working on the 74MNs, I would not recommend pushing more than mid 300's range. it may be torque style gears, but it's still the AL/potmetal mix casting for the gears. keep it on the safe side. rather than push it too hard then have a really nice paper weight.
  4. a little something I've been fooling around with. I've been using it for night games at my local. I ripped out the JG POS, it's all TM underneath.
  5. here is some pics of the lower part of the mechbox, as you can see, there seems to contain the same gear set as found in the AK74MN, a 'infinite torque-up' style gear set. along with an extended anti-reversal latch. so far, that's all I've had time to do.. the gear set is a problem. bushings are standard 6mm (plastic), don't know about the piston yet. from what I've heard, it may be a standard unit. but, we'll see. the stock tube is a problem with the recoil guts in there, and you have to take it apart to take down the mechbox. more later!
  6. DesertFoxRomel, that's pretty much it... -you got how it works. and if you listen closely, yes, it does have the 'boing'. OK, here's some of the "more later" after you take out the allen screw on the bottom you can access the magazine capacity block/switch. kinda nice. about the rail hand guard, the OEM unit is using the locking arm with the two 'teeth' to lock into the spoke ring. (I don't know what it's called) it's really secured! better than a lot of the aftermarket ones out there, and there's NO flex anywhere on this gun! magazine latch seems t
  7. my new toy. short overview in 'reader's reviews' section.
  8. Initial Impressions of the Tokyo Marui SOPMOD M4 AEG. The newest offering from Tokyo Marui, the SOPMOD M4 follows in the new series of “more realistic” styled rifles aimed for the discerning player. While not as ultra realistic as the WA M4 or Systema PTW series, it does offer many of the same features and adds some new ones for considerably less money. The SOPMOD features a full metal body with ‘Colt’ markings, a crane style stock, full RAS hand guard, and detachable rear sight. It has a good weight, and no body flex. Magazines are a new design, and unfortunately, NOT intercha
  9. here's the mechbox pics. also, update on the comparison pics between the 240 and other guns my previous post back a ways.. initial observations are: the spring is comparable to a Guarder sp90 spring plastic(or polycarb) piston & piston head metal bushings (6mm) from what we can see, the gears seem to be something close to the XYT gears (this is just a guess, we didn't fully open up the mechbox yet) mystery motor.. -short type. size comparison .vs 240: MG42 vs 240 Inokatsu 60 E3 CA 249 that M4 looks tiny...
  10. here's a better pic of the '42 and the 240 for size comparisons
  11. here's the link to the videos thread for the 240 test firing. can't really see the bb stream.. but you can hear the ROF. testing done with a 8.4V 1700NiCd subC Sanyo pack. TH240 vid magsz, here's the comparison pic from top to bottom: Trigger Happy/Echigoya/Shoei MG42 (AEG version) Inokatsu M60 E3 Trigger Happy 240 CA M249 the MG42 and the 240 are about the same length at 49inches and change.
  12. made this a while back.. TM G17 with: Trigger Happy Slide & Barrel Kit PDI Strike Front Kit & 6.05 Palsonite Barrel Guarder 150% Spring Kit enjoy!
  13. hm.. South Carolina? -and he looks like Ron Jeremy... (seriously!) yeah, we're the ones' that built all his stuff. thanks Yeager and everyone! and at 10m it's one ragged hole about the size of a quarter. also buzzsaws' 10in. cardboard sheets in 2.7 seconds. it also dished out some punishment at the California ASH Bash 2006.
  14. my 'Race Gun' it made a brief cameo in the sniper rifle section, but it belongs here. and some video, cuz this gun just isn't wrong enough. http://www.hammermods.com/Impact/ASHBASH/MOV05338.MPG Enjoy!
  15. heh.. I put the neon on my SR. http://www.hammermods.com/Impact/ASHBASH/MOV05338.MPG dunno about the spinners... rather have sounds and a tv... hm, that's an idea.
  16. actually, it's not a 'Kit' gun.. the Cyber AUGs predate any of the kits. as for the paterning, it's real Carbon Fiber. albeit a darker style, unlike the CF weaves you would find in Import Car culture parts nowadays...
  17. had this for a while, mind as well show it off. for the Killer Studio Cyber AUG owners and fans, and AUG users in general: this is their 'FED' gun (Far East Dragon) Stage 1 mods. do not confuse this with a Phantom or Shadow kit gun! this is one of the originals. enjoy!
  18. the outer barrel is comprised of : PDI Bull Barrel Base PDI 'P' Flute barrel and bull barrel endcap. I had the whole thing annodized gunmetal by my good friends at The Q Project. hope this helps!
  19. hm, well as far as the Marui OEM grips, I don't remember them having an OD color.. last I had remembered they had the blue, light grey, and red.. were you thinking of the grey one? for some weird reason, those grips always change colors when you take a pic of them.. either really bright or they turn dark, maybe depends on the flash on the camera..
  20. I got the Grip from the Tokyo Marui Rep. at one of the Gekishin festivals last year. it's really hard to come by for those, but some of the aftermarket parts makers like Freedom Art, and Shooter's Designs make colored grips as well now.
  21. well, there's no middle ground on those grips! as for the Koba stuff.... the slide kit is expensive, and it's plastic, tough as heck, but still plastic. (the recoil spring is a little too strong too.. throws off the second shot for speed shooting..) as far as the barrel in performance. if used in context of what Mr. Koba and all of Japan (well most) it performs great! superb accuracy and consistency! there are a few drawbacks though, you can NOT go beyond 320fps in power output, after that, the rifling takes over, and all your shots go to the right. also, there is a slight velocity
  22. hm.. let's kick this one up a bit. 6inch Hi-Capa slide kit from Tanio Koba with the hop-twist barrel. you can't see it, but the outer barrel is threaded on the inside, so you will need an adapter for a silencer (but it's threaded) limited edition grip frame from Tokyo Marui.
  23. Hi everyone, well, we didn't have enough time to do the adjustable stock, so we went with the easier and faster way of solid cheekpiece. the mods are all on the OEM stock. I'm not about to go and my a McMillan yet.. (I'd rather get parts or another gun) haha besides we spent all the $$ on that.. no christmas presents for anyone! -oh well Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! -Gunfighters808
  24. heh,, yeah, one in the same.. the bolt gun was set up from a target gun point of view.. think 'speed-comp bolt rifle' meant to be shot from off handed positions, or on a combat course. I know that goes against all sniping philosophy, but I was never one to stay 'in the box.' it's a very functional display piece/ trailer queen.. the nitty gritty : all PDI parts, velocity at 545fps, and it has shot down 2liter Pepsi bottles at 100yards -and that stock took forever to build up! (extended the back, filled, re-weighted, and balanced) my play rifle is the exact opposite.. a bon
  25. Aloha everyone! The following are guns we originally built for the Tactix Expo in Anaheim earlier this month.. they are patterned off the Springfield Armory catalog M1A versions. M25 Whitefeather (Custom) PDI parts used throughout.. bodywork by my brother Grant cheekpiece made inhouse. SOC-16 Urban Camo Pattern. (aka The Zebra Gun) all parts from PDI paint by Grant
