Thanks for the review with lots of pictures. I'd love to pick one up, soon as someone has it in-stock again. Other than Gunners, are any other retailers selling this?

Sorry for the phone-pic
USP compact 9mm
USP 40 - TM AEP
USP 45 tactical - KWA US version

Apologies for the picture quality, and the intrinsic blasphemy.
Behold, the G36-SAW (actually a very useful skirmishing set up, if one does not care about silly things like real-steel equivalence)
-
NeoVeNom, that PSG-1 makes me tingle in all the right ways.

naw man, every single one of those is HAWT, and the only one i can see people bickering about it in the center G36 with the front sight off a CA CQC SEAL. other than that, theyre all nice looking.
also, the 14.5 barrel on your VFC 416, is it one piece or convertible. if the latter, is it the VFC one, or an after market one? thanks.
It's an aftermarket G&P barrel. I purchased the short only version of the 416, so I did not get a VFC outer barrel.

Here's some of my HK stuff. I'm always hesitant to post, because I am definitely not a milsimmer, and I know some of my abominations can be real eye-burners. So, put on your goggles, and enjoy:
My G36s:
My UMG(P)
UMP with some of my USPs. I have 7 USPs at this point - KWA, KSC, TM, DE, and HFC. Here's the TM AEP and KSC system 7
UMP with VFC HK416
G36 close ups are in the G36 thread, if anyone is interested.

I'll take that as a compliment, seeing as to how you never like anything, by anybody, ever. I was going for a look sort of like the rifle from F.E.A.R. 2 (and obviously, from the the first F.E.A.R too with my one CA8-2), but didn't want to spend a bunch of money on it. It feels really good though, so I'm happy with it and will probably leave it configured this way for a while.
Also, I want to second the thoughts by URPeaceKeeper above. I was really impressed with my Gen II SRC G36. After owning 5 CAs and 1 STAR, the SRC was a very pleasant surprise for the price, with lots of nice little touches, like a metal cocking handle/bolt, the A2 style mag release, a fairly usable scope, the top rail on the handle - very nice value for the money.

Some pictures of my G36 abominations I love abominations. Sorry my camera is a blurry POS
-
Yep, that's the one. Leave it to good ol' Evike to double the price of an ACM part.
I'll post more pics today from some requests.

Here's the pictures I promised - it's the one on the far right that has the handguard - keep in mind, the rails and bipod did not come with the kit. I didn't like the c-length rails, and I took the bipod off of a STAR handguard (the one that comes with their full-size G36).
I hope this doesn't burn any eyeballs too badly - I like a scifi look to my guns... I'm not exactly "but dude, it's milsim"

I bought one of these from Ehobby: http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/accessories/gri...-marui-aeg.html - it's a great kit. The handguard's texture is similar to my STAR handguards for G36s. In fact, I took the bipod off my STAR E-length handguard and put it on to this kit in addition to the rails. I'll take some pics soon to show it off. It includes an SL8-style two-piece outer barrel, which is steel, heavy, and needs oiled, plus rails - which unfortunately are all C-length rails. I used an extra-long bottom rail off a G&P tactical K handguard and long side rails from a leapers kit.
For the price, I'm very happy with this little kit.
-
It is pretty much a perfect match to the CA's color and texture.
I have this handguard set as well. It's on par with the STAR surface texture and feel, and seems very sturdy. The rails are heavy strong metal and so far the paint seems pretty chip-proof.
If I had one complaint with it, it would be that the hardpoints for the screws have threaded inserts that can be pulled out if you tighten the screws too hard. Just don't over-tighten the rails and it's a great piece of kit.

Anyone?
STAR is the only other one I know of except for after-market body kits like Army Code.
EDIT: someone answered while I was typing this - oh well.

Got my new Aimpoint Micro replicas from RSOV today, celebrated with pics. First pic is the space in the storage room my wife graciously allows me to have for my beloved HKs.
And some close-ups - first is the micro on an SRC railed Carry handle on a CA8
And here's a sort-of closeup of my CA carry handle homemade mod with micro aimpoint:

Purists! Avert your eyes, lest what be seen, cannot be unseen.
First, my RAS'd up C and K:
And, my beloved CA8s
I know these picture are terrible. I'll try to take more and better ones, if anyone cares.

I need to post some new pics too. I'm down to only 4 G36s now
-
Not an SL8 with AG36, though, is it?
-
both Classic Army and STAR sell those long SL8-type top rails. In the states, I've seen them for sale at Airsoft Extreme and AirsoftGI, and I'm sure there are others, but they aren't the easiest things to find. Overseas at WGC shop or Uncompany are your best bet.

I want to add my .02$ here, since I own two of these AEGs and absolutely love them. I do agree with the OP, especially with how I was not thrilled with them out-of-the-box. CA pre-upgrades these guns with a better piston head and an air-sealing nozzle like mentioned above, which were fine and dandy, but unlike the OP, I had compression issues with both at first. The one I bought used from SVTdriver on ASF, who had rewired it for deans. I opened both guns up, installed M110 springs, replaced the piston head O-rings with #14s from my local hardware store, and replaced the purple CA air nozzles with guarder version 3 air-sealing nozzles. After that, I put 455mm madbull V2 tightbores in each, with firefly soft-type hop buckings and the teflon-tape mod. Personally, I love the G36 hopup design and I find it extremely easy to get "perfect".
Each gun now fires between 390-400 fps with .2s on M110 springs and are accurate up to 175 feet, with an effective range pushing well over 200 feet, as of the last range chrono/distance test at my local field about 2 months ago (I skirmish both of these regularly, but I have 5 CA36 models so I rotate a lot).
Excluding the tightbores, which you don't really need if you're not changing barrel length, the total cost of upgrades to these guns was less than 25$. They now outrange almost every other gun at my skirmish field (range and accuracy is more important to me than just about anything else).
I absolutely the CA8-2s
Oh, and here's how my two are looking now:
-
My CA8s:
These are all Classic Armys, the G36s and the CA8s, with various internal upgrades, all shooting between 365 and 400 (my site's limit) and all are skirmished often.
-
My G36s:
My camera is pretty poor, and I have no photography talent whatsoever, but I hope you'll enjoy anyway.

Now that's what I call a mini-14 :rimshot:
Thank you folks, I'll be here all week.
Actually, I love it, a lot. I think it would look better with a stubby flash hider too, but's that just me.
Awesome looking little gun.

It's funny, I remember the first time I shot a real-steel 5-7, my first though was "wow, this feel more like a toy than my airsoft pistols" - it was so light and flimsy feeling without the mag in. Shooting was also a breeze as it has so little recoil. The mag was even polymer and ultra-light feeling.
I haven't felt the airsoft version yet, but I just think it's ironic. I wonder if when the TM version comes out if it will have a bit more heft to it.
