  1. It's CA8-2 based, and it is full auto.
  2. My G2A2 project is nearly done. Added a custom milled flash hider and heavily modded CA36 handguard. I might try a CA or Hero Arms drum mag in there (which, the best way to use these is to tape the pressure pad right behind your trigger, so you hit it everytime you fire) to get that "true" G2A2 look from F.E.A.R. (the most phallic weapon in video game history). However, the Cmag used in F.E.A.R. seems to be a lot more sleek, low profile and unobtrusive compared to the "real" Cmags that I could buy. I'm not sure it will look quite right, but I may try it.
  3. It was suggested to me that I create a detailed post with pics on how to do that handle mod. I posted and sigged a link to it.
  4. On gameday, it's always a hard choice which one gets some exercise, so I usually take two and switch at lunch.
  5. I've got some pics up on page 36 (ironic) of this thread. They aren't very good though, and they are for a mid-handle rail, not a back one, but I think they are still applicable. Maybe I'll start a thread there...
  6. I have this in a word doc at this point, because I've gotten so many PMs on this - so I can quickly post this whenever asked: The Railed Handle Mod here's what I did: (this was done to the stock CA scoped carry handle) I used a standard G36 handguard rail, like you would buy to put on the handguard of a C or K. Next, I went to my local hardware store and bought hex screws, exactly like what come with the rails, except about 6mm longer. I also picked up some metal washers that fit those screws, which I'll explain later. Next, I drilled a hole directly above the back end of the scope -
  7. Improved nozzle, metal cocking handle (which I was very against at first) is just wonderful, improved hop bucking, the scoped carry handle is 3x (I have a CA36 from August of '05 when the handles were only 1.5x) with better eye relief than either of my other 2 G36s - I am not making this up either, its definitely better - the bipod is rock solid with no wobble or rattle when folded up at all, and when down, has plenty of "play" for aiming - sooo much better than my G&P bipod handguard - a 509mm tightbore came with it (even though I swapped it out for my madbull 6.03 barrel) - it's built li
  8. Neh, he's right - I have the same serial as on UNcompany's site too - 85-000029 Sweet baby Moses, I this gun though. There are so many subtle little things that CA improved over the CA36 series, which I already thought was fantastic.
  9. Here's my CA8-2 with her sisters: Dang, mine did not come with those HK plates. I wonder if anyone would have them for sale... *off to Ebay*
  10. The front sight on the CA8-2? or the aftermarket SL8 rail that Kov has? The CA8-2 comes with a scoped carry handle. I think what Kov has is the STAR SL8 rail (I have the same one on my CA8-2) and no, it does not flip down, but it is removeable. It looks like he took a hacksaw to his front sight.
  11. Kov, I just got my CA8-2 (pictures coming this week), and was wondering - how did you get that HK logo on the stock? Is that a sticker or did you stencil that on? Just curious.
  12. Oooo, don't let him hear you say that - he'll rip your face off man. He's one bad mofo. In a nuetered, de-clawed house cat sort of way...
  13. I absolutely love it. It rules the skirmish field through intimidation and fear. I think it's absolutely lovely
  14. My cat, Spike oh, and my G36K - CA36k with the G&P front end (replacement) and G&P battery stock with homemade aimpoint mod.
  15. Rails baby! Rails mama! you know you got to have some RAILSSSSSS!!!! Here's my "Nitro.vo gang" Closeups: MP5K: MC51: and G3sas: oh, and my cat, Spike
  16. You're making it hard to be patient Kov. I might have to order one up from UNco after all...
  17. That's gorgeous Yeager - I can't wait to get mine!!!
  18. They are exactly the same. Rails made for the G36c, long or short, will fit the K just fine.
  19. It looks like a STAR or Classic Army that he just took the leaf sight off of. M I Rite? And yeah, I used my 16-pound AG36 for half a day of skirmishing yesterday (before switching to one of my others - got to let them all have action or they get jealous) and man, I feel it in my neck today, even with my padded sling.
  20. Thanks - I can't wait till I have the keyhole stock. It will be perfect in every way and my new primary

It's been posted before, but I've made some major updates/changes, so here it is again:
  22. Here's my AG36 - its been posted before, but I've done lots of updates to it, so have another look: And, here's how I've been using my G36 STANAG mag well: with short VN mags - this gun is a project, awaiting the release of the CA8-2. I plan to use the magwell with the short VN mags to make a G2A2-style weapon like in the game fear. However, I don't think I like the drum mag on it, so I'll go with the STANAG and short VN 190 round hicaps. This gun will then go back to a fairly standard G36K.
  23. Was it the USC you were seeing? The civilian carbine version of the UMP?: http://www.sas-potsdam.de/imageswaffen/verein_13.jpg EDIT: its a big pic, so I made it a link.
  24. Yes, you can still put on a silencer. The one issue is, the SAS comes with a positively threaded sight for use with MP5k-style flash hiders. However, the Nitro.vo rail comes with a front sight assembly designed for normal MP5 flash hiders held in by a grub screw with no thread. I recommend getting a Flash Hider or Silencer Adaptor along with the rail when you purchase it if you want to have something to cover up the inch of inner barrel that will be sticking out. Hope that helps.
  25. here's the link to the scoop on the magwell: in the news section - so far, there's only one early adopter report, and it's not good. Hopefully, when I get mine and get my hands on some decent M4 mags... hopefully it'll be better...
