  1. You have the latest version with the reinforced lower receiver...plus recoil buffer Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. I meant sopmod. Lol Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk
  3. Socom has shs gears, 390+, m170 motor. Hk has dt gears, guarder infinity, 340+. Just an fyi. Aside from the motor and the gold plated bars, I'm actually considering hard wiring it and switching the tm sopmod crane... To a vfc Crane stock which should allow me to use a higher capacity/voltage battery. I just really like the convenience these solid battery offers. Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk
  4. I personally, I think 15 rps is the sweet spot for full auto fire. 20rps is overkill with the recoil shock series. I have the devgru...so im using the sopmod crane. Will those prommy gold bars really help that much? I guess that'll be on my want to buy list...along with the g&p motor. Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk
  5. I have thought about those motors. I'm not sure about how well the pinion gear on the shs uht will mesh with the prommy gear sets bevel gear...can't exactly replace it as those use the d hole pinion gear.....yes d-hole. Lol I picked the tienly motor over the lonex as I heard they perform better. The lonex motor is pretty good IMO...the only down side is that it seems to suck up battery quickly...if I had a bigger battery in my 416, I will go with the higher speed one. I have the 30000 motor...one that supposedly pulls up to an m190 spring. Between the guarder motor and the tienly, I can't te
  6. Significant drop was with the guarder infinite motor. At 380-385 fps, my 416 was shooting about 12.3 rps using the shs gear set and a 7.4v 1200mah 25c lipo. After the prommy double torque gears were installed, rof dropped to a measly 10.2 rps...a loss of about 2 rps. Trigger response between the two set ups showed no real difference IMO...this may be subjective however. Rof with the tm eg3000 high cycle motor was about 14.2 with the same 7.4v 1200mah 25c lipo. Gun was shooting 338-343 fps. After the double torque prommy gears were installed, rof dropped to 13.3....a drop of about 1 rps. Tri
  7. I've always been a fan of non ported piston heads. I actually prefer it over the ported ones. The double torque prommy gears significantly dropped my rof.. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. What kind of motor are you running? Fps of your gun? Tried spreading the contacts apart so the switch moves farther in (more contact area for the cut off lever to trip)? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. Another thing is that the triggers are different on the 416...contact point may be a hair taller than the stock sopmod/m4 trigger? Again my issue arises when I set up the condition for burst/full auto fire...that is...by very very very very slowly pulling the trigger. Even then, the issue rarely pops up. Normal firing...committing to the trigger pull quickly results in perfect semi auto functioning. Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk
  10. Probably the same as stock ... Mechanical Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk
  11. This may explain why I was burst firing once in a blue moon on semi auto. SHS Sector Gear Stock TM Sector Gear The photos show the position of the cut off lever arm right before it resets. The nub that trips the switch goes higher with the OEM Marui sector gear ensuring that connection gets cut off on semi auto in between shots. The SHS sector gear does not actuate the cut off lever arm as high...this may be why I do bursts/ full auto firing once every mag or so. One solution is to either trim part of the trigger where the contacts latch/unlatch on. Another is to mod
  12. Which great sets did you run using the tm gearbox? Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk
  13. Yup. Looks like the finish is coming off. Also, the bushings look like they're 8mm. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. What about the stock tm wiring? Will those be too thick? Your gearbox is black...is that a tm gearbox shell that's just been painted? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. First time I've ran into this kind of issue with the shs gear set. It will do the burst firing when I set up conditions for it...i.e.....slowly pulling the trigger. By slowly I mean moving it as slow as I can. Even in that condition, it almost rarely happens. But, it happens none the less. Can't be that the contacts fit too tight as I have already spread it apart some. It's more like the cut off lever is not lifting the contacts high enough to disconnect on semi auto. This is the only recoil shock aeg I have had to do this to and I've only used shs gear sets. I'll see if the wii tech
  16. Check the fuse hatchet. On my 416 using the shs gears, I get a 2 round burst...or a full auto burst on semi auto when I pull the trigger slowly. It happens maybe once in 75...100 trigger pulls. Generally, that's an indication of a worn cut off lever. My gun isn't that old...probably under 5000 rounds through it. When I stuck the stock gear set back, it never did it again...ever. I have also spread the contacts apart some so as to give the switch more surface area for the cut off lever to trip the switch. Dilemma right now is either to shrug off the burst firing by fir
  17. What gear set are you using? Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  18. My socom had a non ported cylinder as well... Actually, my 3 previous ones did too as well. My 416, my friends 416 and if I remember correctly, my scar-h all had a ported cylinder. Just an fyi... Guarder Infinite Torque motor doesn't seem to eat up batteries badly. The Guarder pinion gear does NOT mesh properly with the SHS gear set. Guarder pinion gear DOES mesh properly with the stock gear set...and aows for a smoth sounding gun. Using the stock TM pinion gear on the Guarder Infinite Torque Motor results in a very quiet gun when used in conjunction with the SHS gear

  21. The trigger and dust cover locking tabs are not steel on the 2013 AKM. Afaik, only difference between the 2012 and 2013 AKM is the bucking. Also, it seems like it's just the 74u that has the steel piston/rod assembly. It kicks harder than the AKM and the 105...at least that's how it got mine. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. Piston doesn't always go all the way forward after completing a cycle on semi auto. Try yanking out the pistol grip and releasing the anti reversal latch. If you're checking for nozzle to hop/barrel assembly seal, place it against the gearbox and blow through the barrel...see how much air leaks Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. That shs piston looks a lot like the king arms piston for the next gen m4 series. I've had one in mine. Lasted maybe 15k rounds with springs ranging from 380 to 450 fps. The rear plastic piece that braced the steel rack snapped on me. Other than that...no issues. I did remove the 2nd to the last tooth as I have an ARS sorbo installed on my SOCOM/ MK18 build. I'm on my second KA piston. FYI.... Guarder Infinite Torque Motors are pretty good for a snappier trigger response with either a 7.4v sub 1200mah lipo or an 8.4v 1300mah nimh sopmod battery. Night and day difference if you're
  24. Moe grip is a must have...it's heaps more comfy than the oem ak grip. Zereck, I cannibalized one of my AKM's to get the receiver. Lol. The stock adapter does not come with the required screws. I had to track down some at the local hardware store so I could mount my adapter in place. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
