    Pics of your Gear

Just seen this... what's the chest rig? Looks like a custom one based on M56 pouches but I'm not sure

I had a rare opportunity to play on the weekend before Christmas at the club members day, here's a few of the best ones of me: The only game in which I used my Mk46: I used my brother's ICS L85A2 the rest of the day: rhino calls this one the "Are you not entertained?!" picture: And just for *suitcases* and giggles...

Did a bit of marshalling yesterday, I managed to sneak into one pic without me realising: Yes, that's me in the panda hat, and it saved me from getting shot a couple of times...

I've been trying to persuade a friend of mine to make me a skirmishable HEV suit for ages... No dice yet

Aye, we're all highly impressed. All by Goldfish69 Photography, and if it weren't for the fact that they're paintballers, I'd recommend them

Me and my bro, knackered at the end of a day's skirmishing. Was a really good day. I'm the fat *bramston pickle* with the Mk46.

You could have at least tried to hide the domain names of those pics so that it wasn't entirely obvious you're just posting pics of bushes in a vain attempt to show how good your camo is

I was shot in the bell end by a sniper whilst being shot at by another gentleman with an AEG. No nut shots yet tho. With regards to that vid, we had something similar happen a few weeks ago. Last game, we were all mags out, safeties on as we were shot out of the game. One of the guys walked over, laughing about something, upended his M4, but still has his finger inside the trigger guard and shot himself several times in the crotch. Luckily, he managed to avoid anything important, but we did all give him a loud and cheerful lecture on gun safety...

Myself (on the left) and my brother in the safe zone between games this last skirmish: He took one look at this pic after it was taken and immediately made sure in future that his hood was pulled forward practically over his eyes

    What's your backup?

Yeah, I find it is, especially, as I said, if you find yourself running short of ammo, or if you play at a site with strict semi-only rules. Plus I hardly notice it's there, the scabbard hold it pretty tightly, not tightly enough to prevent a smooth draw, but tight enough that I don't notice any jiggling or anything when I run. The only real downside is that the pistol grip smacks me on the back of my head when I go prone hence why I'm getting a new rig for the Mk46 I just picked up.

    What's your backup?

TM Benelli M3 Shorty, and a TM SIG P226 that fires 6 shots and then vents the mag Here's a recent pic of me mid-skirmish to show how i carry them (the P226 is hidden behind my arm): I get a lot of comments about the sheath, and to be honest, i originally bought it for looks. However, before I picked up more mags for my P90, I found myself running short of ammo and switching to the shottie a few times, and i do end up lending it to someone when they run out of ammo or their battery dies on them mid-game. Not sure how visible they are in the above picture, but i do have 5 shells mounted on my left shoulder. As a backup, the shottie has proved itself to be invaluable, and i have used it successfully during numerous assaults, and ended up during one defence game blasting away with it merrily into some orange smoke someone had thrown outside the door to the fort we were defending.

I'm not going to do so unless there's actually something for me to properly complain about, ie. a serious breach of conduct. Then, I'll be throwing the *fruitcage* book at him. The operations manager is coming to the site today, or is supposed to be, very tempted to have a word with him about it. Then again, he'll be on his own this morning without my help to get him sorted in the hut, so we'll see how badly he does and hopefully it'll speak for itself.

There has to be someone in the hut at all times, since contractors can be signing in and out any time between the times listed on their permits. If he's standing there chatting elsewhere, I can't leave the hut to do the patrol. And yes, I could've just gone off and done it anyway and left the hut unoccupied, but I like things to be done properly, and if I'm going to do my best to get rid of tossbags, I need to keep my nose clean and show myself to be better than he is by sticking to the SOPs. Oh, and he's now refusing to give me a lift in the mornings. When I asked why, he shrugged. Roll on me being late and him foundering with stuff I'm not going to be able to help him with!

The properly irritating thing about it is, we're sat in a hut all day, we do an hour of work at the beginning of the day, about half an hour at the end, and do a patrol every couple of hours. The rest of the time, we're sat on our arses doing bugger all, and the one time he prevents me from doing the sodding patrol and I call him out on it, he has a bloody go at me! His attitude was that, it didn't really matter that we had to do patrols, whereas I take the view that, we're there to do a job. If you can't/won't do the job, then there's no point in being there. Argh. He really got me going the other day, had to do another, longer patrol to calm myself down.

    My eye! Sweet Jesus, Ouch!

My rant is useless, lazy security tossers who don't do their jobs (what little of it needs doing) and then prevent me from doing mine by standing around chatting when I'm supposed to be out doing something else. And the fact that I'm stuck in a hut with them for the next flippin' year.

No worries man. It helped give me quite a bit of peace of mind when I took it, explained a hell of a lot, but like the doc explained to you, it can be very difficult to get it diagnosed, since no 2 doctors will give you the same diagnosis (unless you're classically severe, in which case it'd be obvious to everyone around you and you'd likely already have been diagnosed...). I had it explained to me that it's like a spectrum, it's not that you either have it or you don't. I'm only a mild Aspie, which likely means I'll never get it diagnosed, but I don't mind. At least now I know about it, and can understand that that is why I act the way I do. I don't need or want help for it, because whilst it does hold me back somewhat, it's not severe enough for me to really call it a disability. Anyway, here are my own results (re-took it yesterday and somehow I'm more autistic now than I was when I first took the test nearly a year ago... :S) Your Aspie score: 146 of 200 Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 47 of 200 You are very likely an Aspie Aye, if you know what the symptoms of it are, it can be quite easy to fudge the test. My girlfriend showed me once, managed to give herself quite a high Aspie score simply because she knows what characterizes the Syndrome and has dealt with Aspies in the past (and now lives with one )

You too, eh? My girlfriend used to work with autistic kids (she's a befriender in the National Austistic Society and meets up with a girl with Asperger's every week or so to help get her out and about), and she got a little suspicious about some of the ways I do things, so she made me take a test, and it pretty much turned out I had a mild form of the higher functioning Asperger's. Not enough to get a definite diagnosis from a doctor, but enough that it shows. I don't go around advertising it, I've just come to the point where I recognise it in myself and either control it to a degree or acknowledge it and move on. If you like, I can ask her to locate the link to the online quiz I took so you can get a better understand of where you are on the spectrum? I'll pop my results up too so you can have a wee look. EDIT: Just dug it out of my e-mails, here you go. May as well throw it out there for everyone else to have a look at too.

We're not allowed to make personal calls using the landlines and mobile phone reception is abysmal in the building. Don't you just hate people who have an answer for everything...?

I do do my job. I just need something to do for the other 8 hours of the day.

    My eye! Sweet Jesus, Ouch!

Because when I'm at work...let's just say I've gone through 6 books in 3 weeks, done countless newspaper SuDoku, and god knows how many games of Solitaire on my phone. The DSi is quite literally a way of distracting myself from this particularly irritating, useless, busy-body, micro-managing *fruitcage*tard *badgeress* of a supervisor who everyone complains about.

They've started. When I rang them, it was called Royal Mail Same Day. What's your good news? When you wake up at 4 to be in work for 7 and then get home 12 hours later, it very much limits how many phone calls etc you can make. However, I did manage to contact Royal Mail myself, found out what had happened (useless *fruitcage* driver didn't bother trying to find my address properly and claimed it didn't exist), rearranged a delivery complete with my mobile number attached to the package, AND got myself a refund off Amazon. Bit of a result, but I really was looking forward to playing with my new DSi XL
