  1. Just came back from reading gs geko m870 diy fix up topic, (he's is a wizard), but he actually mentioned a fix to a problem that sounds similar to this. He runs his m870 on HPA at green gas pressure. He said that the O-rings on the expansion chamber were bone dry and couldn't cope after he switch to HPA, he solved it but lubing and replacing the O-rings. You should check it out in the rifle (gas) forum for a better run down. 2. Still better then the tactical foregrip. Which is a ribbed plastic smooth type. Absolutely hated it
  3. I'm sure that tactical forgrip will fit in the breacher, but because of the longer dimension of the foregrip, you will likely to only be able to half-rack the slide. This is because on the tactical the forearm bars on the magazine tube carriage is attached to the end, therefore when you rack the foregrip, the foregrip end will touch the receiver and complete action properly. But on the breacher, the forearm bars are attached to the middle of the magazine tube carriage, hence for the complete action the foregrip has to be shorter to give more room for the magazine tube carriage to rea
  4. I was curious about the too, so I took my extended magazine barrel from my tactical and put it on my breacher. Fits perfectly. Basically it means it'll have no problem with the g&p forearms (which I have a type A on my tactical as well.) However, the full size forearms won't work so well on the breacher, your will need the short g&p type I suspect. Oh as to the question of the mounting point, it shouldn't matter, you will be using the same tube carriage which the pump forearm are attach to, the g&p type should just fits over this, no need to mess with it at all. Nothi
  5. I think you will need some sort of sight, not necessarily a red dot. I mean the tight grouping under 15m means you can't really just point and spray. Especially when the breacher is so mobile. I suppose iron sights would work just as well. I have to try 0.25g for 3bb mode, might be better for outdoor.
  6. You lads were right about the over hopping. Usually I play in CQB where engagement range is 10m or less. However last Sunday was in an indoor arena with 20m range. Breacher was using 0.23g but they kept jumping at around 15m way above my reflex dot sight, have to adjust my sights for that. Also the grouping was tight even on double-ought. So i agree, i'll switch to 0.20g on 6 shot indoors. Lucky I got 3 pairs of different marui shotshell mags. Can colour code the bb weights.
  7. Ehobby is always reliable. Their shop staff is really helpful, speak good english and generally friendly.
  8. i concur with sacairsoftsn00py, the loading chamber seems to have some tight tolerances which seems to relate to BB quality and/or size. luckily for me, these jams did not break any internals, but we have heard it happen to some of the commenters here. Which brings us the next point, that is if you force the action when jammed or even smidge of resistance, this could break your nozzles and or loading lever. This has never happened to me, because for one thing i've found the full size tactical m870 too long for me with the fixed stock (i have short arms), preventing me from really put a
  9. Oh I was thinking of getting the upper rail with side saddle, but that thing is about hk$550, milled aluminum. I do like that stock though, Magpul is it?
  10. I got my breacher back from the shop, apparently some bb jammed inside, they didn't have to replace anything though. They recommend higher quality bbs.... So that's that, problem was not related to the green gas and whether the jamming is a mechanical or bb quality problem, only time will tell. So here is a finished version of my breacher will be making a breacher belt waist holster for it, shamelessly copying the bladetech version (love how it holster the shotgun).
  11. Woah, that's steep. Oh, I wouldn't recommend .25 in breacher, the grouping is tight up to 10m, heavier than .23 bb you ain't going to get much range, not to mention the spread is less in 3bb mode.
  12. Your don't see any ballooning of the gas tank of the breacher, it's very solidly built, feels like a gas blow back glock magazine. But it is a fact that my internals jammed after 70 shots while running on green gas. So whether this is because of faulty internals or because I was using green gas, I'm not sure.
  13. Good news, Tokyo-model took back my shotgun for inspection, so I'll just see what the verdict is. Either they fix it, or I get a new one or maybe they are just going to give it back to me? Who knows! I'll keep you all updated one they get back to me. Also a good idea to wait a little later, while it seems like it can run on green gas, (even the redwolf youtube presenter was using it) both ehobbyasia and redwolf both caution about using it. As it's originally built for 134a gas for the Japan market. But from personal experience, the magazine is clearly feels and looks like it can h
  14. Do you mean this one? http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/pro-arms-cnc-aluminum-loading-arms-for-marui-m870-gas-shotgun.html#.U-tdnPmSwk0
  15. Well, the shop closed early....earlier than 6pm today, seemed to be installing aircon....gah. And all that effort to drag my m870 breacher to work and back out.... well anyway, concerning the possibility of attaching third party g&p or angry gun stock gas tank.... Short answer? Yes. it looks like it's possible. Long answer? Looks more complicated to disassemble, just to get to that stage where you can remove the pistol grip assembly, please examine picture below to understand why: See that round screw head to the far top right corner (i will call it the "anchor scre
  16. lemon? yes, this is a possibility! So i'm going to take it back today and see what the shop will do. Get it exchanged and see if it happens again, if it does, then maybe the first batch has a problem? who knows, better to find out early! Luckily it was raining this morning, so i managed to sneak the m870 breacher, box and all into my office. lol. Which means i can head straight from work to the shop. It feels like a similiar problem i've encountered on the larger m870 tactical, which i simply solved by resetting the trigger mechanism. However this is only a gu
  17. Interesting! Anyway, just a small update, been banging though a few shells, the tank holds up to green gas perfectly. It's solid built. But i could tell it wasn't really built for it. I had to make sure i pushed it in until it clicked and locked. First time it just popped back out, venting a little of the green gas. So far, i've managed to get six shells out of the gas tank on green gas, firing on 3-shot. i won't bother with six-shot just half the result and take it as that. I made sure the tank was warmed up before firing (with hairdryer), so cool down was at a minimum, couldn't
  18. YES!!! Just got it!!! It can run on green gas!! Will update with how many shells the gas tank can shoot (just started...on three so far!! hehehe) Some comparison with M870 tactical: Comparison with Maruzen M1100 revision 2:
  19. USD$279 to 279 GBP?! ridiculous! Then again i understand the mark up price, its all business. Just that compared to the local Hong Kong price (HK$1,980 / US$255) it seems excessive, but then again I'll probably be ###### off if i knew the local Japanese price, so i guess ignorance is bliss. Anyway, i'm pretty sure almost all of the components are the same and to be fair i agree with the previous comments, if they just kept the 3-Round or 6-round mode and none of this switching malarkey, i'm pretty sure they could of avoided these internal problems. Because frankly, this loading system
  20. oh wow, $279? that's expensive, that said it's cheaper than tokyo-model pre-order at $295. (frigging joking!) i'm so glad i don't have to pay the export price...so i can get more accessories! lol
  21. TOKYO MARUI M870 BREACHER!!!! First Youtube review. Thanks MachSakai!! Edit - Important info from the video: Magazine tube is the same length as m870 tactical, i think it's a good estimated guess that the inner barrel is the same length as well. Slide action is the same as the m870 tactical Range test: 3 shot mode - 5m - 3 hits in a 10cm grouping 10m - 2 hits at 10cm grouping (one flyer) 6 shot mode - 5m - all hit the A4 paper target 10m - all hit within a man size target
