  3. Onslaught - Yup! It's a VFC. Bersy - Them real russian optics tend to get very expensive. I need to save some for a 4x POSP or higher.
  4. BERSY: Is that a magnified or red dot sight on your AK? Here's my contribution to the thread (gear & equipment for OP Irene 6).
  5. I'm really... really tempted to trade Joe... Ahhh... look at the 3rd gen result but ummm... NO! LOL
  6. A little bit more 'old-skoool' and clean-cut compared to Medic23's
  7. One uses 5.56, the other a 6mm. A closer look
  8. That is such an unholy alliance of parts! Two thumbs up for originality and just plain "scare-the-cr@p-out-of-me" factor. LOL
  9. You goin' for the 'La Femme Nikita' theme, Kitty? That's one nice set-up!
  10. you've got some good points there, Joe. I guess at the end of the day (or night), it'll be up to the shooter/operator to configure his/her scopes/sights according to what would be optimum for him/her.
  11. You can actually put the PVS14 either in front or behind the ACOG. The disadvantage of putting the ACOG behind the NOD is that the ACOG overhang creates enough distance between its front lens and the PVS14's rear lens to a point that illumination is decreased by at least 15%. On the reverse side, when the PVS14 is positioned behind the ACOG, the operator is able to close the gap between the PVS14's front lens and the ACOG's eye relief. This minimizes night illumination loss and maintains the ACOG's field of view -- both are musts especially when you're conducting zero-visibility m
  12. Souske - Thanks, man. Yup! That's a 2-stage trigger match. I also find the recoil a lot lighter on this beaut. Let's take this conversation offline though as this discussion may be getting out of topic. Link -> Hanzo @Wolfenstein - The device behind the TA01 is an NE016/PVS-14 NOD.
  13. ...just for you, leatherneck! hahaha! btw, i'd probably be changing the Para barrel to the SAW II length. will take some pix again afterwards.
  14. Just got this one early this week. Will be posting one or two impressions sometime this month.

  17. shiny momma! the red pins definitely go with the personality. Meet Dr. Jekkyl (P228 RS) and Mr. Hyde (P226R airsoft).
  18. I read this poem once when I was in my 20s. I didn't quite get the meaning of it then -- but then again, nothing seemed to mean anything back then, except the regular staccato of my M16 during training exercises. There's a particular paragraph in that poem that reverberates everytime I read it. Perhaps, I, too, have had a few pistols (xcept mine had the 9mm metal jacket instead of the plastic 6mm) locked, oaded and pointed where they never should be pointed; especially when times were particularly hard. The paragraph goes: "Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with y
  19. TXP is correct, Romulus. There's more ways to skin a cat as they say... I just went this route as I thought I'd be able to get the trademarks a bit under the mark (and get the KJW mags via Redwolf or WGCShop). More pics... this one get's it close to its RS P228 brother. Enjoy!
  20. Sig Sauer P226R with a Streamlight TLR-2 The pistol is one hefty son-of-a-gun. It's a beauty to hold and fire. Now if I can only get a rail-compatible holster with it (and the TLR-2), the set will be complete.
  21. An LC production (IRENE, Hac-Bao, Northern Wind) in the U.S. on military bases maybe a far-reached event to our foreign constituents here, but rumor has it that John Lu is trying to seal an agreement with Mainland China to hold the largest milsim-game outside the U.S. there. Just imagine the PLA going against the West for a milsim experience unrivaled since IRENE or LionClaws game... Well, if it ever become official, I'd wonder how much it's gonna cost ($2,500, the scuttle butt is..). It'll become one hoot of a game though...
  22. zbear - So you're with Shadow Company huh? Outstanding job what Shadow company did, man. The insurgent on the right hand side (pic below) took out 3-4 of my guys when we tried to clear the townhomes. He was positioned quite well up on the rooftop and it was just impossible to assault it without a grenade.
  23. It is not impossible to get to IRENE/Lion Claws-themed games. Below are some clarifications on how registration was done this year: LC Veteran Reservations = 200 seats (LC Vet cost was discounted under $200) New Registration Reservations = 150 seats (new reg cost was around $235) Total slots Made available = 350 ----------------------------------------------- LC Veteran registrations were quickly filled within 78 minutes of the registration being opened. Just because one has an LC Veteran status doesn't guarantee a seat. I, for one, had to camp the registration site, refresh
