  1. I have an echo1 and had no problem removing mine. (m249 para)
  2. it's strictly a balance issues caused by the dimensions of the box mag and weight distribution.
  3. Here's where I got mine... it's really cheap too! http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch...l?name=SW132-ND
  4. That doesn't look real comfortable holding it by the bipod like that.
  5. For the full review and pictures check out: http://infectedairsoft.wordpress.com/revie...-training-belt/ Overall, the quality of construction and the belt is spot on. I will warn that if you're of the larger persusasion along the midsection, you might find the corners to be a bit of a poke. The materials used are good quality, and asside from melting it down, I bet this would last you as long as you played airsoft and them some.
  6. What's the largest 9.6v battery that can be fit in the handguard of the Para version? What capacity and configuration? I'm going to ditch my 8.4v soon (after I see there are no problems with the upgrades I've put in it), and then put a 9.6v in it.
  7. Why are you looking to change the cylinder? There's no need to. The aluminim piston is just going to beat the snot out of your gearbox. If you want a durable piston, use the Prometheus Polycarb hard piston.
  8. any piston will work, I've used the madbull one and the prometheus hard ones.
  9. bjorn, what mostfet are you using (who's design)? I've got one that I made off Gandalf's design (from airsoftmechanics.com). What's funny is that I noticed an error on his schematic that he didn't catch. While his production units have worked just fine, he drew the schematic wrong! Gandalf's a good guy, and I've dealt with Psypher as well. I don't think Psypher is allowing people to use his design, and I think someone else has taken over manufacturing them for him as he is working on a new project now.
  10. I have his in my M4, and it works great. He was a bit hard to get in touch with (he was in Thailand or some such place). He's back now so you might have better luck getting in touch with him. I've gone to making my own mosfet units. Might I suggest if you're going to get one, to invest in one with active braking. Your motor and gearbox will thank you. Oh, and as far as the switch goes. Mine did die (the button would stay depressed). I replaced it with this unit: http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch...l?name=SW132-ND Of course, I ate the piston and gears on mine, so i ha
  11. There's plenty of room down there where the batteries and electronics are.
  12. but will the electronics that handle the sound activation be able to handle it?
  13. Ehobbyasia.com does sell some Element stuff..... I got mine at gunner of course. And yeah, I know ehobby is shipping from Hk most of the time.
  14. Could you force the mag to feed faster by putting an extra aa battery in the battery box wired in series?
  15. I picked these up for my M4 project that I've completed now. After a lot of abuse and after much ammo has been spent, I must say that these have worked flawlessly. I know some people have adverse feelings towards Element and other less expensive brands, but I must say these seemed very well constructed and have performed perfectly. If you're looking to pick up a set of these, GunnerAirsoft.Com has them for a great price. The full review is on my website: http://infectedairsoft.wordpress.com/revie...inder-head-set/
  16. um, I'm pretty sure that AirsoftGi has these, and has had them since november. linky: http://www.airsoftgi.com/index.php?cPath=3...360b8ab7450a624
  17. The nice guys at AirSplat were kind enough to send me a Systema Magnum motor for testing. These motors have been all the rage since their release last year, and appear to be the Holy Grail of motors for those with high FPS setups. I've often heard people say the ROF on these is quite nice as well, so I lets see how these claims shape up. The construction overall is top notch and the quality of the materials is excellent for the most part. I have heard complaints about the materials used for the pinion, but I had no problems with it. The test bed is as follows: Classic
  18. Any Version 2 gears work. Airsoft Atlanta has a good deal on the Systema gears right now.
  19. hey muckymick do you have a link to where you got the micro switch? I want to replace mine, and I want to figure out which one to get. I need to know what specs to look for.
  20. and where can I find a 2mm ball bearing? Also, I was considering these gears: http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airs...il?prodID=17840 Will these work in the 249 since it has an 8mm gearbox?
  21. my understanding is that all v2 stuff works in the PGC.
  22. I'm downgrading my 249 para to a stock marui spring to increase the rof. With that spring in, the hop up has NO effect. I know about the hop up being garbage out of the box and that I need to put a spacer in there so it pushes more on the rubber. Would it benefit me to put in a clear guarder hop up rubber in there instead of the stock one and fix the hop nub?
  23. Lord knows the high cap that comes with the Echo1 / A&K doesn't fit my CA M4 at all!
  24. Quick question (one that might be really stupid). Can you use version 2 gears in this gearbox, or is there a different set that you'd need? I'm looking at putting in high speed gears and a new motor (ICS turbo 3000 probably).
