  1. It's great when you get steam codes with graphics cards. Not so great when you have one game and have no interest in the 2nd

  5. You know you've not done tech work for a while when you can't get a gearbox out of an M4 lower.

first swear at it , then set the selector to semi so the trigger can move.

It's the pin above the trigger. I always forget that and get angry.

Everything was out. It was just the gearbox being stubborn. Just took some brute force and swearing.

  6. Bad news, I lost a 1911 mag. Good news, I now have an excuse to buy extended ones.

    1. evansy

Easy. Dodgy velcro on a flyye mag pouch. I should really set up some kit better suited to crawling around in the woods.

Poppers, and not the dodgy kind. They work better than velcro, plus are less likely to snag i find ;)

Indeed they are. My kit is set up for urban/cqb so usually it's not a problem.

SR-47 does not work because you tried using good ammo in a bad gun.

Ah, I forget this is an airsoft forum. Something to do with the nozzle coz of the big receiver perchance?

  8. Now with more OD Does anyone know what size lipo that will fit inside the hand guard?
  9. Yeah it's a dark OD. It was the CASV and grip I was thinking about painting. I couldn't bring myself to paint the body even though it is starting to show its age. I might dig out the Krylon after work and see what it looks like in OD or possibly in a similar pattern as it is now but done in woodland.
  10. Page after page of high quality pictures of great guns. Time for a combo breaker with my poor pictures of bits box guns. I think I might keep the SR-47 like that but paint it all one colour.
  11. I need a WE M14 EBR Mod 1 in my life

  12. I'd forgotten Madbull front kits don't fit G&P bodies. Anyone want to buy a JP front kit before I throw it out the window?

    1. TheFull9

      TheFull9

Good old imperial vs. metric upper receiver threads. One of the very few slight downsides to a G&P AEG, they even used the TM spec on the WOCs.

    2. bladerunner168

      bladerunner168

I have actually fitted a JP kit to a G&P Magpul receiver, all you need is BRUTE strength.

    Carwash stuff

Is it a bit sad that I'm envious? It is mostly of the snow foam though.
  14. Time to turn off the laptop before I impulse buy a KTW Mare's Leg.

    1. renegadecow

      renegadecow

That's not impulse, it's practical. Fits both western and firefly loadouts.

    2. evansy

      evansy

It also fits Zombie Land loadouts but both of those require holsters which get very expensive :(

The nicer ones usually do, but it's a good excuse to learn leathercraft (how I got my own gunbelt). And if you want to get really fancy: http://www.gunblast.com/images/Rossi-RanchHand/DSC00257.JPG

  15. Very nice. I can't remember the last time I saw a capri that clean.
  16. I think my next purchase should be shares in a petrol station.
  17. Hate selling stuff, I never know what stuff is worth.

I'm selling to a friend so it's trying to come up with a fair price and trying to work out what that is.

I think this is why I've only sold two guns in nearly 8 years of playing.

Same here. Someone just needs to start a 2nd hand shop as a full time business venture.

  18. My insurance ended up being £945 for the year. It's a total rip off over here in the UK and it's a legal requirement so they can pretty much charge what they want and we have to buy it.
  19. Damn you Tribes: Ascend

  20. It's almost as if the insurance companies and the government don't want us to drive or something *puts on tin foil hat*
  21. It seems everyone can get insured on rally monsters apart from me. My old boss got an Evo 8 FQ300 when I got my Civic and I checked the insurance on that and the cheapest was £2500, I'm 28 with 7 years ncb as well. Still better than one of the lads I work with. He's just passed his test and got a quote on the Evo for nearly £9k.
  22. Have you tried some of the specialist companies like Adrian flux? When I got mine last year the cheapest quote I could get from the big name insurers and compare sites was £1200. With the companies I've seen on various Civic forums I've had quotes as low as £700. Hopefully I'll still get quotes around that figure when my insurance is up for renewal.
  23. The bright silver on the front lights matches the bright silver on the rears. Gotta love facelift lights
  24. I had planned on getting some Rota Grids (standard not drift) in bronze but a guy near me put these up for sale and I'd fancied a set of blue wheels ever since I saw the Spoon wheels. Plus I got these for less than half what it would have cost for Rotas.
