  1. They didn't stay with the stock masada design just the same reason why they discontinued the Pmag and put out the Revision ones. Cause they want to stay as close as they can to the real deal and this is pretty much an ACR but from what I understand from Magpul is they cannot call it an ACR cause bushmaster/remmy owns that name. This is my understanding... the PTS version is going to be closer to the real one than the A&K as the A&K is slightly off in size.
  2. Little bit of a downer its Ares/star gearbox but it is upgradable none the less. The make or break for me is when they come out with the GBB internals whenever that may be. If they are ###### then that kills the whole idea for me. Ether way I have no money to buy for a while cause of bills... so I will stick with my PTW and its flaws for now.
  3. Batteries are the only problem with the G&P Aimpoints. They seem to drain battery even not being on. I have 3 G&P aimpoints and a Guard aimpoint. I once left the G&P and the Guarder for a year when I went to work off island here and when I cam back the Guard still worked and the G&P didn't even though they were both off. In the years I have had my G&P's and Guarder the G&P's go through 3x the batteries the Guarder does. Don't know why this is... but they can't be beat. I have had them on AEG's, .22's, 5.56mm, and even the recoil of .308 and all 3 of mine still work.
  4. I would take a guess to say about 8 hours or so of designing, cutting, molding, and sewing. I will most likely end up using it for airsoft too so as to keep my live training rig the same as my airsoft.
  5. My real steel rig I just got done making a couple days ago. Just finished the pouches Saturday. The pouches have molded Kydex Pmag molded inserts velcroed in. They give a postive click in and out. They work with airsoft as well as real steel pmags. Also work with the short 20 round pmags as well as all GI mags. Both front and back panels of the rig can take soft armor inserts for extra protection. The front has 1/4" closed cell foam to keep it somewhat rigid and the back of the rig has a IIA ballistic insert and runs higher than Lvl IIIA in conjuction with my IIIA vest. It can also run a c
  6. I am thinking about selling but have to work out some other things before I would consider to sell these. I wanted to do the Tan velcro on the sides but both the suppliers I get my matrials from were out and are still not in with it. I supposed I could of used 3 2" strips but just got the 2" a week ago. That is one of the things I would chane about the vest is the OD velcro but is not all that distracting. Getting anything tan or coyote is hard cause not only does it go with multicam but with almost every other desert color so I buy as much as I can afford of the coyote supplies when I can get
  7. Its real steel... All of my airsoft guns are at my parents except the mk23 in my holster. It was just sitting there along with my bolt action and could not help but to pick it up for the picture. Don't think the bolt would look as good with the kit. Easy enough to make in airsoft though... PM'ed. Indeed, vary nice... Those SCAR's are really starting to grow on me. I am trying to decide between the SCAR or the Magpul M4 they just released. Is that one of those devgru frogman headsets? How does it work, I am looking at getting one.
  8. Here is the updated vest and gear. Decided to take some pictures with some of my gear on. Just finished the front plate pouch today and got the supplies to finish the padded shoulder straps. So the vest is done and ready to go just needs the back plate pouch. Also am finishing up the rest of the pouches for it. Enjoy!
  9. Thanks for the comment guys. It will look better once I finish the sholder pad straps but again still waiting for supplies. Yup thats me over at the DIY board. I go by HangingChads on there... I got into doing my own gear cuase I never liked the way stuff came and wanted it to work for me and not the otherway around. My brother got me into it actually. He started making slings for fellow airsofters so I figured its probably not much more to do other gear as well. Nice Crye rig there! I want to build one myself but I am waiting till some matrials pan out. I am going to try and do the
  10. Just thought I would share some of my multicam gear. I have been turned on to the interesting hobby of sewing my own gear cause I can't ever get what I want or need in Multicam easy and for sure not for cheap so I started making my own. Here is a vest design I just finish yesterday. Its a cross between the FSBE and a CIRAS. Its cut for BALCS soft armor so will fit real armor if I wanted. Drag handle is reinforced, all pals (molle) is quad stitched, and backing is mesh to make it breathe. I am going to finish the straps with velcro so the adjusments will stay and make pads but I ran out of
