  1. Yes, which brings up something else. My gun is a latest version shooting at 350. With a higher velocity (like 450fps) it would overcome the hopup's affect - shooting flatter. Im thinking that WE had high velocities in mind when they designed the hopup. There is a relationship here between hop and velocity - and flat trajectory. I learned this with my MP44.....and was never able to balance it perfectly.
  2. ^ I see now....I also saw the "green silicone" pad they are calling a hopup bucking. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I just read 30 pages starting from page 40. Whew. I see that this gun is plagued by "overhop" out of the box. The only fix I read about was thinning the rubber hop up sleeve - and consequently having bb's roll out of the barrel. Damn. This is sounding like my Shoei MP44 all over again. Im not happy. I am using .30 (!!) KSC bb's and the bb's are going straight up after 40 feet. This sucks. Anybody else have a better solution for the hopup issue?
  3. ^ Hi Daniel, thank you very much! I will check out page 40ish. Im very disappointed to hear that a .28 would be needed. I'd like to be able to use .20 bb's. I havent taken apart the gun/hopup yet. Does this gun take a regular hopup bucking (rubber)??
  4. Hi Guys, Im hoping that you can help me with an issue I am having. I just received my WE M4 2 days ago. Everything is working great except the hop. It is WAY too overhopped. Pardon my ignorance, but the black knurled wheel inside the ejection port is the adjustment wheel, no? I have it all the way back (turning counter clockwise) and the BB's are still heading for the sky past 50 feet. All the way clockwise is even worse. I am even using KSC .30 bb's and I cant get the bb's to fly straight and level. I am using propane (and adapter) with a few drops of Trinity s
  5. "...........Ya I know. I'd probably sell it all for $290 shipped. " Ill take it as is. Ready to paypal the money. pressroll@hotmail.com
  6. On 134, the gun goes and goes.......... On propane, expect 20ish shots only, in warmer climes......exactly one mag's worth of bb's in slightly cooler temps. That seems to be the norm.
  7. Beautiful gun! Performs brilliantly.
  8. It indeed is a TM, not a WA......I have run propane in all my pistols.....I have an old TM Tacmaster that has seen nothing but green/propane for years. Still going strong. Meanwhile all those WA's I had? Forget about it!! Every WA Beretta I had, quickly developed the dreaded WA "double tap" after running on Propane. Also, the loose bodies/slides got even looser. Looking back, what junk. But even so, I have never "broken" a slide. .....Ever. At present, I have fired over 100 propane filled magazines through this Marui 1911. And it runs like a champ. Tight - solid - perfect.
  9. Hi Guys The gun suffers from NO cooldown affect. It just uses lots of propane and has a small reserve - being a single stacker. The summer heat is really causing it to blow through the green gas, a tick faster. That's all. On my particular sample of the 1911A1, it stomps at "full tilt" for 20ish shots, then "poot, sss", on the next shot. Its just plain out of gas. Its power is actually QUITE efficient and consistent. However, it's consumption is high. (At least this week). As for a comparison to the fictitious Hi-capa, I bought this gun for its AWESOME and genuine trademarks, and a
  10. Oh, I think you're going to love it, weasel. I haven't tried 134 in the gun (and probably wont), but it's a monster on propane. Bear in mind, that this week where I live, there has been a "heat wave" (temps above 95 degrees everyday). That would contribute to 2 things; 1) the raw power and 2) not being able to get through a full mag of bb's before losing "oomph". The ambient temp is really messing with the performance. 18-20 shots is what I have been able to get out of the gun on one mag charge - at "Full Tilt" power.
  11. I have had one week with the new MARUI 1911A1......I thought I would address some questions about the gun, and make direct comparisons to other pistols (that you have asked about). Let me preface all comments by saying I'm a rabid collector of gas pistols and have owned just about everything you could think of. My past collections consisted mostly of every Beretta model that Western Arms produced including all the variations (Perfect models, Black Polymer versions, Premium versions. and Plated/INOX versions). I also owned several WA 1911 models, including all metal customized INFINITY mod
