  1. Exactly what I was thinking. I don't especially like the look of the boxster or 911 but the cayman is alright. That said I wouldn't mind having any porsche =)
  2. 1989 Toyota Supra MKIII N/A Picked it up for $400 in running condition but with signs of the infamous BHG... but that doesn't matter as I'm swapping in a 7M-GTE+tranny anyway =D It needs a ton of cosmetic work though.... Oh yeah, I drove this from Atlanta, Georgia to Charlotte, NC just yesterday with tape residue from the "for sale" sign on the front window, the really annoying peeling purple tint in the back, and a spare dashboard blocking half the rear window... but it was all worth it =)
  3. The CASV is actually straight; my camera cost $100 so I'm not too bothered by slightly weird pictures =) Turns out the delta ring wasn't fully locked in when I took the pic though, thanks for alerting me to that! The gap in the receiver is pretty annoying but it's not as bad in real life. I got the G27 grip and some other goodies so more pictures will be on the way =D
  4. Awaiting a Proud VLTOR flash hider (to get rid of that hideous orange one I have on because the only other hiders I have are for G36s...) and Magpul MIAD grip (Have a G27 on the way but I think Ima sell it for the MIAD) Sad part is when I got the plain stock TM M4 I promised myself I wouldn't spend any money on it for a good while....
  5. I have a KA and the finish is extremely easy to scratch... Kind of annoys me =\ It's got a cool texture though. The reason I went with KA instead of proud is purely because of the PRI flip-up sight. I can't say I'm too impressed with it but it just looks so awesome!
  6. =D Funny you should say that, a 10.5" CASV is in the mail right now. I promised myself I wouldn't spend any money on the M4 for a while so naturally I went and bought $340 worth of stuff the day I got it. Still trying to decide if the VLTOR receiver is worth the extra $100 over a normal G&P one...
  7. My new primary. Never thought I'd get an M16 variant but the CASV is just too cool I'm 51% sure I'm going to go with the 10.5" one... I was certain until I noticed that the extra length of the M4 barrel doesn't really get in the way at all. Ah well, with a 10.5 I'll have an excuse to get a tightbore... More fun in the Armliate Pictures thread!
  8. So I've had this Magpul CTR lying around for a couple of months... and a couple of days ago finally gave in to the urge to get the M4 to fit it on. Got one used at a great price and it is in absolute mint condition I couldn't wait to slap the CTR on so there aren't any pictures of the stock... I have to say the New Type M4 is much better than the old one though. Oh and halfway through picture taking I remembered I had a phantom flash hider so I put that on... and then I remembered the green dot fakepoint I got for $20 off ebay so I put that on too
  9. A turboed civic is still nothing compared to a similarly priced "real" sports car. Let's say you get a cheap one for about $4k and put a turbo kit on it for around $1k. (And this is assuming there arent any huge exhausts, airplane wings, or neon lights on the car) For $5k you could easily get a N/A 300ZX *points to avatar* or turboed 280ZX that will perform much better because they were designed to handle that kind of power from the factory. A lot more potential for upgrades too. The scion with a homebrew turbo kit would make quite a bit of horsepower too. That doesn't change what ty
  10. ^LOL And for the record, civics are economy cars not race cars.
  11. Lol, it's not for camo and I did it mainly for fun (and because I intend to get a zeke kit in the future). I did degrease it and rough it up a bit with sandpaper but it doesn't seem like I did it enough. The paint was called "metalcast" and is supposed to look like an anodized finish. I was going for something like the Magnum Research gold tigerstripe finish but don't like the color. Unfortunately it's a lot brighter than I thought it would be...
  12. Well, I left the desert eagle overnight and to my surprise today the color magically got darker. I guess the paint needed time to cure but now it's near the shade I was going for =) It's very easily chipped but I'm a lot happier with it now than yesterday (that shade of green was ugly!) The textured grip really does literally look like ###### still but it's nice and grippy so I'm not too bothered by it. The blemishes in the paint and the overall bad application are still bothering me and I will likely do this over again. It chips very easily, which is why I left the front sigh
  13. Oh ok. For a second there I was about to add another reason to the list of reasons why I want a CA 8-2 =)
  14. Wow does the front sight on the CA 8-2 flip down? I was just thinking the other day how nice it would be if I could flip my front sight down and keep it in place using a scope...
  15. Ooh very helpful... I don't know anything really about the Chinese clones =( Can't even keep track of the numbers CYMA uses. I was about to get a D-boys S-system just to see how they were but was worried if it was 100% TM compatible or mostly compatible or non-compatible so I left it out of the cart.
  16. Ah... I was wondering why the loading chamber was forward when the slide was locked back =) That is the absolute #1 springer I have seen in my life though!
  17. Ooh a big 'un! I have to say, having the frame silver makes the two-tone thing work a lot better. Is that a TM or KWC? The green/silver tigerstripe is a massive failure but I'll still post pics for your entertainment when it dries. Some parts of it literally look like pieces of ######. =( Oh well, more motivation to get a zeke frame and slide.
  18. Hmm I guess it is sort of 3-tone but it'll all over the whole gun. After looking at some of magnum research's finishes the chrome with gold accents looks pretty cool too so I might do that except with green =) I wish the desert eagle had cutouts and stuff like a P226 for an exuinox look but unfortunately I don't think that'll work too well.
  19. I don't think it's the quality of the finish, just the color arrangement. Then again I don't usually like two-tone guns period =\ (the P226 equinoxes are an exception, they're not the traditional two tone with two distinct chunks of color so I like it better) I'm planning on doing a green/silver chrome tigerstripe in a similar fashion to the gold plated tigetstripe Desert Eagle offered by Magnum =) Not real chrome but I've got all the materials ready to go.
  20. SIGs are great guns but you don't usually see them in movies or any military units so I guess there's less appeal for the general buyer who just goes out and picks a gun. Airsoft-wise they used to have a few issues but the new 552 is the best stock TM AEG I've used to date. (note I haven't used an M14 or Type 89, which are supposed to be very nice)
  21. =D Thank you, if VLTORS fit the mil-spec CTR should too! +1 for putting my mind at ease!
  22. =\ Sadly it doesn't look as cool as I expected it to. Maybe it's because it looks almost like the cybergun/KWC desert eagle... but as long as you're happy with it everything's great =)
  23. *whacks head on wall* Why do I always miss the nice 550s when they come up for sale?!
  24. If I only had my CTR shipped in an amazing 5 hours I would check too =( Who knows if airsoft tubes are mil-spec, I mean they had to copy either the mil-spec, RRA/bushmaster spec, or some random spec so I'm really hoping for mil-spec =)
