  1. Thanks Chaps. Chris, the slides and frames were purchased separately. The frames (Prime & PGC) were originally parts of other complete metal kits. The slides are Shooters Design, purchased from KIC and DEN.
  2. Western Arms SCW3 Punisher 1911's From the 2004 movie, personalised to suit me I finally got around to making a second one....... SCW3 uppers, SCW2 lowers Metal slides and frames fitted. Prog 4 GCS cancellation unit installed. I'm not a big fan of magwells/bumpered mags, so I chose to omit those. To put a bit more bling back I added silver grip screws and mag catches. Usual internal tweaks as necessary. Colt rubber grips.
  3. He-he, you pimp! Nice collection, looks like a mint SVI Limited Magna in silver you have there?
  4. Excellent work Mr Maniac, I've liked this gun and fancied building a replica myself for some time but it keeps going on the 'back burner'. Once again, good job
  5. Here's some Western Arms SCW2/3 "single stack" 1911's. All have metal slides and frames courtesy of Prime, PGC and Shooters Design. SCW3 uppers, with a mixture of SCW2 and 3 lowers. All are in a pair of sorts, except, ironically the Punisher 1911: AMT Longslides Springfield Armory V12 & V16 Colt Gold Cup National Match & Bob Chow custom National Match Colts of World War 1 & 2 vintages
  6. Nice Hybrid Chris, don't see those too often. In fact that may be the first Wilson Hybrid I've seen
  7. Glad you liked the V-16 chaps Chris that's a real classic you have there, another nice piece for the WA 'metal' collection. The minor headaches of assembly will all be worth it, but I do dread to think how you burnt yourself, hehe.
  8. Springfield Armory V-16 Long slide loaded custom Western Arms SCW3 base gun Prime V-16 metal kit Prog 4 GCS cancellation unit installed Internal parts changed out, fitted and polished where necessary Rubbber double diamond grips I missed out on the 1st release of the V-16 kit, so was pleased to see a re-run. Primes 2nd incarnation of the SA V-16 kit is fairly tight, and it took some breaking in, but that assures a good fit once done. Prime include a steel SA marked Bomar sight base (as well as a front sight) which is a nice touch. The ported V-16 steel barrel is no longer incl
  9. Lovely Chris, absolutely minty fresh looking.
  10. Alphabetical? Detonics .45 Combat Master Foliage Warrior M1911A1 Night Warrior
  11. I'm with you on that, if only the metal frames were sold separately too. (Yahoo Auctions in Japan is the only place I've seen them; they can work out costly but more importantly, don't tend to ship internationally). Thanks for posting up the pics, it's always nice to see one. It sounds like you are well on the way to getting it sorted. I look forward to seeing it again when you're finished
  12. Yes, it's WA SCW3. I'll of course bear your request in mind, but I'm afraid that this one's 'a keeper' Oooh, I felt all dirty for a moment Mister Miles - may we have some pics of the contents of that Delta Elite box please? It's always been a favourite of mine.
  13. Thanks, I put that together myself with a Prime slide and frame. And of course, bit's from the depths of many a spares box.
  14. hehe, I like to make everything 'valid'. If you like two tones, take your pick: (All WA SCW3 converted to Prime metal) Or a 5" Colt GCNM custom
  15. That's very true, but there are plenty of companies that can put a black finish on a stainless gun, which is why I put the "custom" in there as it gave me artistic licence
  16. AMT .45 Longslide custom WA SCW3 Prime slide and frame set, anodised Custom lightweight aluminium recoil spring plug CP lightweight aluminium blowback chamber Silver Fox/PROG4 type GCS cancellation part installed Usual internal tweaks Ivory grips, phenolic resin Remember the black Longslide from the Trespass movie ? ]
  17. Western Arms SCW3 Punisher 1911 From the 2004 movie, personalised to suit me SCW3 uppers, SCW2 lower Metal slide and frame fitted. Prog 4 GCS cancellation unit installed. I'm not a big fan of magwells/bumpered mags, so I chose to omit that. To put a bit more bling back I added silver grip screws and mag catch. Usual internal tweaks as necessary. I'm not sure if I'll stick with the WA rubberised grips.
  18. WA SCW3 AMT Hardballer Longslide two tone Prime metal kit, WA SCW3 based Black anodised slide Custom lightweight aluminium recoil spring plug CP lightweight aluminium blowback chamber Silver Fox/PROG4 type GCS cancellation part installed Usual internal tweaks AMT slab rubber grips I have envisaged a duotone 1911 as a project for some time and as this Longslide kit happened my way, it seemed the ideal candidate. I couldn't bring myself to anodise the original Prime slide (as I still fancy making the AMT "Longslide with laser sighting" made famous by The Terminator) so I purchase
  19. I've said it before Milan and I shall say it again.....fantatic collection! Think the Tiki has to be my favourite of that 'little' lot (oooh, a pun!)
  20. Thanks Chris, I'm very pleased with the result myself
  21. Western Arms SCW 2/3 Bob Chow Special Ver. 1.5 custom with Prime metal kit Bob Chow Special......it's one of those guns that I should have bought along with the metal kit the moment it came out....but I didn't. By the time I'd realised I was being "strong" for no reason - it was too late, they'd sold out. Years passed then thanks to a second hand sale on the forums I managed to pick up a barely used metal kitted Chow, and it was built on the rarer 1.5 version to boot! The gun despite loving care had a few minor blemishes and being the ultra fussy type I am, decided that a complete
  22. The Kimber Warrior/Desert Warrior were one of WA's first SCW3 guns, released circa December 2005.
  23. Hehe, someone likes WA Gilded v12's Nice set up.
  24. Fantastic job on that unique Commander! Looks like I'm following you around the various boards, paying you compliments on that Commander of yours, lol!
  25. Lovely to see your work, I have thought of this T2 1911 as a project for myself many times! Good job!
