  1. Ok all, the last guys question about which rails will fit and will not was fairly straight forward, but heres one thats a little bit harder! Will this rail fit onto my SOCOM version!? http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airs...il?prodID=25912 and...If not, how much work is gonna be needed? From what people have said, the threads on the receiver are standard TM!? So i would assume it will fit. Will almost definatley get a Madbull Ras fix at the same time, but I dont want to take the $110 plunge if im going to be left with a lump (a very pretty lump) of unusable metal!
  2. Mrezzy: Any other parts/accessories on display for the Sopmod that you Brother saw at SHOT?
  3. (Christ the thread is back up!lol) The TM is definately the way forward, I'm so confident in mine Im selling all my other AEG's (will be slowly replacing them with various length M4 sopmods and other TM recoil range guns!) IMO there are a few things holding it back in the airsoft community: -It seems to be massively under represented by 3rd party parts makers! -No one seems to know what 3rd party parts (ie rails etc) will fit it! -Long Term reliability is only just starting to be talked about (and its great!) -Thare are just so many cheap AEG's out there, and arou
  4. Dynamic, I have an MOE installed on my SOCOM. To tighten it up, the only way i found was to shim it to fit. I used some thin (1mm) clear plastic between the MOE grip and the end cap, and try shimming the hole in the end cap the little metal nub goes through. I did have an after market Vltor block installed which tightened with hex bolts, so i could tighten it up closer to the grip which stopped the wobble. but i prefer the M4 sight block so i went back to shimming.
  5. Because Standard AEG springs are about an inch longer than the srping in a SOPMOD. SO the Recoil spring probably does move, just alot less than using a regular SOPMOD spring. J.
  6. Oh man this is all sounding like very exciting stuff!! Keep us posted!
  7. I managed to fit my asap sling mount ot my sopmod. but i had to use the ASAP made for a GBB m4. you then have to take off around 1mm of material from the inside of the sling mount so that it can fit over the stock tubes threads. the rest should fit fine, mine didnt need any further modding but others may. Cheers J.
  8. Just a quick note, I managed to put a GBB ASAP sling point on my Sopmod. Wasnt too much hassle either, but did need some dremeling! but works a treat. and looks nice. A note on the PTS ASAP, its a nice piece of gear, doesnt feel the strongest just on its own, but attached to the AEG it feels solid and reliable.
  9. A couple of pics of the Sopmod Carbine with some extras on... Not sure about the Stock, but its on there for now! Fireing at around 292-295 FPS.
  10. Jin, Im not sure about the M203, but i dont see why not (no longer have one to test it.) As for the sling mount on the buffer tube, Im not sure either, just looking at mine (carbine version) i dont think a regular AEG sling mount would fit, and you might need one made for a GBB such as the PTS ASAP one thats coming out for GBB rifles soon. (or is out i dont know) Magz seems to have one on his vid, perhaps he can answer more clearly! Magz- which battery do you have in you MOE handguard? Im using the MOE handguard to and looking at getting a lipo for it! Plus does anyon
  11. Famous last words RichadY? I hope not, Just waiting on my Sopmod CARBINE version to arrive, ordered it from Redwolf so waiting on delivery, and then probably customs (which is gonna be hell if it gets caught in customs!) When it arrives i'll add some pics and a review!
  12. Some excelent help guys! The rif actually started to Correct itself and work, but ive tightend bits up for now and will look at the modifications in the morning! Cheers again! J.
  13. Redline, I believe i did get the latest brass housing, i'll post more pics when i get back to my camera! I was really happy with the platform at first, however after two mags, its stopped working! It seems 'cocking' the rif doesnt push the hammer back far enough so when the trigger is pressed only a tiny amount of gas is realeased and a pop heard, not an actual shot. If i cock it, then open it up and push the hammer back further, it fires again, and continues to fire after each shot. It doesnt function proper when I cock it the first time! Any ideas? So far i really l
  14. hello all, Just recieved my 'Version 3' WE M4 from TQM in the Uk. I've been reading the thread for a while now and noticed a few pages bakc someone asking about the 'Ver3's' from TQM and them not having any trades on them.... Now im not fussy about trades but im concerned about having V1 or V2 internals... ive taken a few picks of the bolt and nozzles etc for you guys to view, they do look different from the other nozzles ive seen, but ive litteraly had this Rif in my hands for 25 minutes so far so i havnt had a chance to properly explore it and i dont have any frame of reference other
  15. Kerbdog, that M249 looks amazing! you us any particular patern or just go free flow!? Also, a touch off topic but what mag box/pouch is that on the M249? 5.
  16. i took the easy option and cut the wires off and hooked it up to my fast charger. works good! (for now eeep!) long term i will get a 240volt transformer and sort it! i did notice this, but to solve it i just spent a few minutes practicing mag change drills, and it wore the mags in they still have a slight stiffness but it goes in now, i think the spare mags nhave a nicer sound to them also once they go in smoothly! Eotech looks too big for this gun! has anyone elses cocking handle spring stopped working? mine has, just doesnt spring any more, doesnt seem to affect it though
  17.
