  1. Awesome! Love the dessie m84 pattern, managed to pick up a smock but could never get any more!
  2. Thanks for the response! Very informative! In the first instance it's the WE 416 I'm interested in so any data you have or obtain or think is interesting/useful to potential buyers is greatly appreciated. I'm slowly working my way through the thread but info is often times scattered throughout several pages! The KJW is great, wont be letting it go, just want a change/new challenge and I'm hearing/reading good things about WE these days, love their new pistol releases and their QC and finishing work is improving all the time. All that and they seem comitted to constant improvements and have g
  3. Is that a fair/average representation of FPS drop on the WE? Any data on how much/if any FPS re-gain and over what time frame? Ie leave it 10 seconds between shot 29 and 30, would there be FPS Gain? Would it level out? Does the use of an NPAS to say keep the FPS 350 and below improve shot to shot consistency? And in anyway avoid FPS drop? I just haven't seen this kind of drop with my KJW M4 (only drawing loose comparison as different systems and different gases). Lots of Qs i know but like Hwagen I'm looking to change platforms for more options etc
  4. The GB is much the same as the sopmod/socom m4s. It is easier to open due to the way the spring is, it hangs out the back not under tension, but is more complicated due to the bolt lock parts. A nice GB to work on though. Check out the eagle 6 guide videos on YouTube on the sopmod m4 for a guide which will be almost identical to the take down of the GB of your 416. Remember though that regular length AEG springs will ruin your GB!
  5. Is there a guide you followed? Care to make one?
  6. Blarock,, awesome setup! Real crye I assume!? Was there any wait for it from Crye or was it picked up else where/2nd hand?
  7. Awsome set up! I have one very similar! It curently has the 13 inch VTAC rail and a battle axe stock. I'm gonna swap the rail out for the 9 inch soonest! Mines front wired into a PEQ box. For a rear wired m4 you could try the madbull battle ax it seems tho have good battery space!
  8. It'd be a shame if the GB didn't have the required cut outs for the ambi selector, ill have to have a look. I did get the ARS stuff from Echigoya. There was a sale on buying the buffer and SURUS stuff at the same time, but the SURUS parts were out of stock, good service though from Echigoya. The buffer tube and bits are very well made.
  9. Has anyone had any joy retro fitting the ambi fire selector from the 416 into the m4? I think I recall reading that the relevant holes are there to allow the its to fit...? As for a report on my SOCOM: it's about 4 years old now (I think it was may 2009 I got it...) it's undergone several cosmetic changes and was slowly upgraded bit by bit until about 8 months ago when eagle 6 did the full prommy internal upgrade. The OEM gars showed signs of wear as did the pinion but nothing you wouldn't expect from good use. Guns shooting really well and accurately, some feeding issues, but I'm find

Madbull troy TRX regular or VTAC. There is also a half decent ACM version knocking about.
  11. If you up the FPS on a socom/sopmod, you may find it beneficial to use a different bucking and nub. I personally use a Prometheus bucking and flat nub, get great results running 350-370 fps with 0.2's ( changeable dependant on site via eagle 6 springs) You may be ok with the OEM bucking though.
  12. Did you hear the news? March is gonna be a good month! Go to the news thread now for an immediate nerd-gasm! Also, re R-hops. I've been trying to fit one to my socom for some time now with some success but not anything I'm happy settling on. Not quite got the contact patch right yet but the other problem I found was getting the bucking smooth. Will be trying the new Prometheus smooth bucking one day and see how it fairs. The main thing to remember is that it requires heavy bb's, 0.28g+. My socom has had some extensive internal and external upgrades, only 2 things left to do is get a
  13. All good features, 3rd burst for me is not essential but it's always nice to have options. I wish I could understand the diagram you uploaded but it makes no sense to me! still very interested in one of these though.
  14. Richard y is the man for that. I'd be willing to help but I have little to zero electronics skill! I will however jump in on the order if/when it's finished to boost numbers.

If you mean you want a KJW m4 to look like the picture you've posted I'm afraid you'll struggle to get a 100% match as no company produced any aftermarket receivers. You can fit that type of rail. You can fit hat type of stock. You can probably fit the MAID pistol grip. Certain BAD's will work, some with modification. An ASAP can be modified to fit though I believe it isn't simple... All the rest is cosmetic and bits can be added as normal. Hope that helps, search this thread or advice on specific item fitting.
  16. Except it seems we'll never ever see this product hit the market! So many hollow promises:)
  17. The misses just caught me reading this review in bed, she asked so I told her what its about. She seemed to immediately know this new 'toy' posed a threat to her plan for a cycling holiday in Portugal (yawn) next year... As I type I'm being told 'no' in a less than subtle way. I think I would have gotten less stick if she'd seen me watching videos of girls who like to 'cuddle' a lot. Still, absolutely do want, just have to decided what to sell to get the 416; other RIF or kidney? Great review Ginga! I'm interested to know if TM have made an changes to the hop up unit?, which is alway

I'm going to in someway answer my own Q here by adding that having 2 separate barrels makes it less likely to be confused with RS, and also ppl can't say that it's easily convertible to fire live ammo. Plus the hop up just isn't coming together in m head. I think you'd have to lose the hop bucking an just have a contact pad, I'm sure there are better ways.

This is a little out of left field, I don't know if this has been discussed before on any airsoft forum, possibly has but Ive never seen it mooted: Would it be possible to make an all in one inner and outer barrel? What, if any, are the reasons for there being a separate inner? Materials? It is potentially a machining nightmare with the tolerances required, perhaps this is the reason we have seperate barrels? Would it make for a much more solid hop unit also being interested into the outer? Just thinking about it I would guess that the hopup and machine tolerances would be the 2 big ob

I have 8 mags, only ever had a problem with 1 of them, which was solved quickly. Even though the mags are super reliable I would still like stanag mags. It's purely a cosmetic thing. I know Law airsoft in France made stanag mags for the KJW, but have not found any reports on them. C02 would be nice. I think replacement barrels would be good. A few options/lengths. I know that you can mod AEG barrels but some nicely machined precision outers would be excellent. Precision/ wide bore inner barrels (which ever is currently in trend) for the KJW would be nice, an option for a wider h

More consistency, better in other countries colder climates? Though I'm going to also guess at stanag or pmags.
  23. Your gonna struggle with batteries inside a vtac rail, maybe a very low mah 7.4v lipo, otherwise run a peq box. The rail should fit, I have a 13inch troy rail on mine (I believe they are basically the same thing) just needed a couple of the Laylax shims and to loctite the bolts.
