I don't need a video to convince me to buy this, but a video of it in use would be nice!
  3. There are a few posts on the thread dealing with fitting madbull rails. In general you are going to need the Laylax shims for the barrel nut and you may also need some small washers for the bolts but it can vary rail to rail. Of the 9 inch and 12.5 inch ones I have had/still have the 12.5 inch required shims and washers the 9 inch just shims.

T-hum, run a pre-order and take my cash! Excellent work though, i was getting worried that these wouldn't show! look forward to viewing the new site aswell!
  5. I have a plain Laylax lower ordered through echigoya and will post pics when it arrives!

Would be very interested to see pictures of it! And know how it differs from the original. However I am also having good results from the TDC mod!
  7. I did remember correctly. A Japanese Company: ORGA airsoft make an m120 spring for the next gen series. The spring is so high rated due to their concept of a wide bore barrell, 6.23mm, which they claim gives better trajectory when used in conjunction with a good hop ( they sell a slightly modified firefly nub with a tiny metal Bar in it). With the wider barrel you get a drop in FPS= need for higher rated spring. The limited promotional/test material they have online (vids) suggest its a concept with merit and I know the guys on airsoft mechanics are in agreement that a wider barrel (we are
  8. I actually only know of 1 other company making springs specifically for TM recoil series other than eagle 6 (though now I think on it I'm not sure if I'm remembering correctly) so eagle 6 may be the only ones (probably something to do with the japanese 1j limit and most of the world still requiring AEGs to spit plastic death at 400+fps so not loving the recoil series in general, fools!) either way it's unlikely firesupport will have sourced from the company im thinking of and will either have eagle6 springs themselves or they will cut down regular AEG springs to fit. I'm sure a reputable
  9. It would be most excellent if that video found its way on to YouTube Richard! I assume gearbox wise take down of the SCAR H is the same as the L? As the rest of the take down is the same. Really wanna pop an m90 into the H and up the FPS.
  10. I think the main thing is to try and retain the mechanical bolt lock. I'm not interested I'm 3rd burst, don't personally see the point! Semi auto locking would be a nice touch however more and more sites are now requesting a permanent semi auto lock in respect of DMR type Setups shooting over 350FPS, so it also may not be on the top of the list. Simplicity is the key, ease of use and install which gives better trigger response and removes as much gearbox and spring stress/tension as poss and brings the SOPMOD one step closer to 'realsm'. That and being water proof! Agree with lipo monito
  11. OutstandIng Richard! Put me down for a beta test! Could I request you have an option for variable ROF!? I'm meaning option for a real steal ROF. J
  12. Yeah that's what's advertised on laylax's site but all the text is in Japanese or similar and I wasn't sure if they were ltd editions or something, especially given the current licensing climate with RS makers. Also echigoya only has pics of the bushmaster logo receiver, not interested in that and in all honesty would prefer either a colt traded lower or no trades. Will email them to find out if they have options.
  13. I also didn't know this! How compatible is it? Still retain bolt lock?, more info please richard! The deal on echigoya's for the full ARS stock tube kit and Laylax lower was the one I was looking at, I just had it in my head the lower wasn't great. Looks like I found my next purchase though! The Laylax vltor upper looks nice but again its not something I'm particularly interested in. I'm a bit of a plain m4 lover! From you comment about original trades does that mean the Laylax lower doesn't have any trades on it!? I'm ok with that if it's the case!
  14. Well the TM GBB MP7 would suggest new direction for TM so an MP5 could be on the cards... I would love hat, gbb or ebb. Quick question to keep it on topic. I remember a lot of chat in the thread about the Laylax lower receiver and that it is not all that good, however I can't seem to find it by searching the topic people's thoughts on it. Is it any good? I seem to remember it required some modification to fit? The reason i ask is My stock tube is on its last legs, some of the thread has broken and its very loose in Its old age! So I'm looking at picking Up the ARS stock tube. Fi

Dnt know about the ridges but I run mine in Esstac kywi pouches, full size and short, and they fit and hold fine. The full size ones are a bit tight but just means they are even more secure.

Good to know that WE are offering replacements. Though as with most cases like this from any airsoft manufacturer it would be helpful to know actually how many have failed in relation to how many have been sold... Also whether the damages are occurring more in hotter climates and with what gas. It's hard to imagine this occurring in the UK except on propane on high summer... Unless there is a serious design/ manufacturing flaw. This is of course onIy based on personal experience of gbb's and others in UK may tell a different tale. The WE translation didn't make a great deal of sense in
  17. So you "cast" the bolt threads into milli putty? Excellent. From the pics it all looks seemless. I assume there wasn't much difficulty with the RIS unit? I am really surprised no companies have produced 416 upper receiver sets for the sopmod/socom especially considering the prevalence in USSF communities to use 416 uppers with colt lowers.
  18. Outstanding. Excellent work Druid, just excellent. I always hoped someone wold make a 416 kit for the sopmod. How well did the 416 rail attach to the upper?
  19. Some really good advice and reviews here guys, alot of food for thought, and just when I had gotten the TDC Hop mod completed on my KJW M4 and was really starting to enjoy using it I have to keep coming back here and reading the positive comments about what appears to be an excellent RIF and probably my next purchase. (I have that feeling that pre-empts an airsoft purchase...) Do any UK players know of any UK retailers who have it in stock or are expecting it in soon? Can't find it in any of my regular haunts. Not against importing one, would just prefer to support UK retailers (and recei
  20. Absolutely its fine to run 9.6v nicd/nimh in them, though Id recommend 7.4v lipos, much better.

Ive recently been looking at an inner barrel which is not specifically made for the KJW M4, it comes in 2 types: AEG and VSR type. I've read on here and from looking at my own that the KJW Inner barrel is indeed closer in looks to a VSR style barrel but can anyone confirm if a VSR type barrel is a 'drop in' fit or is it easier to mod an AEG barrel to fit?
  23. Define "ludicrous"!? We need numbers exact same set up I'm looking at, I just wish the orga barrels were cheaper!
  24. Will give the magic pin a go! I've just checked it again and there is infact definate movement, about 1-1 1/2 mm. And its just come back from everyones favourite TM EBB tech! and they did a stirling job! Though the gun is 3 years old now, and repeated take downs will have an effect eventually, plus it has been abused and after all I think we as airsofters tend to forget...they are only toys !
  25. Its not exactly wobble, its just a slight bit of movement. its only noticeable when you actually 'flex' the RIF, but with heavy use in the field it can happen, and id rather fix a slight probem before it becomes a big problem, I'd rather it was solid. So anyone used a magic pin? Or will I have to guinea pig it myself!?
