    KJW M4

Cheers for the reply Kenny, that makes sense. Ive checked the retainers on both my KJW's and the newest one is slimmer but seems to have a more robust protruding piece to retain the spring buffer. The older one has been modifed by hand to allow the buffer to come further forward, however, it does not seem to have been a permanent fix! There also seems to be a piece of material added infront of the retainer, I assume its to negate movement caused by the break and push the retainer closer to its original position. So on my list of items to pick up from KJW should be a new lower and a new sty
  2. has anyone tried using a magic pin to eliminate receiver wobble? Im not having anything really bad just want it to be as solid as possible!

    KJW M4

Hi all, I've been enjoying the delights of the KJW M4 for some time now and picked up a second one so I could have swappable uppers or just 2 Rifles to choose from! I am however having a bit of a problem. The 2nd KJW/TK M4 I picked up was 2nd hand (so was the first but it was practically unused!). It is functional however I've notice that the lover receiver has split around where the Recoil spring retention piece is, meaning the spring buffer sits a few mm forward. Now I have read through the entire thread, some time ago, and recall that it was a problem which I believe was caused
  4. Your initial impressions sound good then! I'd be interested also in your thoughts on th build quality of the receiver, stock tube etc and the recoil as I hear the weight is reduced, reducing the recoil!? look forward to your review!
  5. Please do tell us about the Army clone, very interested in picking up a 10.5 inch one!

Fantastic news t-hum, I'll definitely take 1! Perhaps 2. Looking forward to the video of it in action!
  7. Hi guys, how are we all? I have a strange 1 for you guys here...And it's gonna be long. I have been enjoying my m4 socom now for 3 years! Still going strong and loving it (though recently I've been using my new, no longer so shiny, TM SCAR H!) but recent games with my team has shown we have a gap which needs filling, this gap is FIRE SUPPORT. Now I've been looking alot at support weapons, the usual m249s and variants, but what I really want, after using a TM recoil gat for so long is a RECOIL support weapon! Bit of a problem there as you can see. One doesn't exist and is unlikely eve
  8. That's some good work there buddy, will have a look inside my suppressor, keep us posted!
  9. "I'd also advise MP5 mag pouches, I'm very happy with the ones I've got." I certainly will be getting something more suited to these mags, as will be using the again. Having a quick look at the hop rubber I think it could be the source of the mis feeding/firing, havnt had a chance to clean it yet but will do. I have the VFC suppressor, a more or less purely cosmetic upgrade, as others report it simply changes the tone of the sound, doesn't really suppress it. But the silencer does have some movement on it, anyone have any ideas on tightening it or keeping it more secure (something
  10. Cheers for all the replies, I was looking for a store that had the danger werx valve but the seem to charge a hi postal cost! Will PM him! I did buy an ratech NPAS, will see how that goes and compare the 2. Will also inspect the hopup rubber, could be the source of the problem! Cheers J
  11. Hi all, I've recently joined the mp7 club with the KWA version, and I must say I'm as impressed as I thought I would be after reading all the positive reviews from all the contributors! I skirmished it for the first time yesterday at Anzio in staffs and I really enjoyed using it, very different type of play using a GBB and one I hope to use more and more. Few things: I ran the gun using 144a (the replacement to 134a I believe, which I did not know was no longer available!?) and the gun was chirping at 97 mps, which is around 320 FPS I believe, (correct me if wrong). The recoil fel
  12. That seems fairly impressive given the FPS ( always goin o be a drop with WBB) Can you tell us what sort of range you were getting before the ORGA install? And keep s updated Re future upgrades!
  13. I would be very interested on how this works out! Please keep us posted!
  14. Stewpidbear, damn you beat me too it, posting up pics of your scar H. I've had mine for about 3 weeks now, though I've just been too damn lazy to do a review! I took the pics for a review but then got side tracked playing with it! Love the gun, pretty much he same chrono readings as mine ootb. Accuracy, stock, is very good, man sized target e dry time at 57 meters, and further if you drop the bb's on target. Wrong thread I know, but is the H the same take down wise as the L? I haven't dared try to take it apart yet and I have a TBB I want to put into it. Also you say 363mm is longest ba
  15. That's good news about your barrels. It honestly could have been down to my fitting of the barrel and not fitting hop up correctly or something similar. I'll have to try it again with my new ebb AEG, which I shall review for you all soon...
  16. That looks awesome Druid! What length barrel you using in there? I tried using a 455mm inner and wasn't happy with it, I think the length of the barrel was causing compression issues and I think it would have needed a new cylinder or some modding to the OEM one. Still, awesome looking gun there! What's the accuracy like?
  17. Then stop using your Nimh/Nicd battery charger which is prone t over heating and fire seriously though, with all the built in safety gizmos on Lipo chargers you aint gonna set any thing on fire unless you want to. Lipos are much better and easy to maintain, dont believe the rumour mill!
  18. Thanks pal, I'll have to look at picking up some o the tacos, would live a DCS but will have to wait and see how I get on with the replica jpc.
  19. CK, really nice rig. The DCS looks excellent. Out of interest, Is the DCS based on any other manufacturers rig? Also, are they hsgi tacos? Where did you source them? Any uk dealers? Cheers J.
  20. Thanks guys, I like it! Druid, that's nice work with the carry handle! Could not tell it was scratch built! I was thinking of doing a similar thing with the foresight as the diemaco ones are hard to find and I've seen some good pieces others have made! The RIF Has a 363 mm inner barrel in, with that and the m100 it's getting around 340FPS. Fairly happy with it, the change in FPS is around +\- 4 FPS, which is ok for a rifleman role. I think this would tighten up with Promy internals.
  21. Ok, so heres a pic of my SOCOM and its current incarnation. Its been rocking the SFW get up for about 4 months now and Im loving it. Think Ill stick with this one. its got a Perr mike 16" barrel extension on, which is a real nice piece of kit. The min barrel is a 10.3" outer barrel. the G&P storm grip is a really comfortable grip, feels very positive in the hand as does the grip pod. Its not 100% complete; I have an ACOG on order which should arrive in the next 2 weeks, then I'll be looking for a MRDS and shroud to go on the ACOG. Also would like to get a Surefire flash
  22. Nice sfw Druid! Looking slick. My socom has also been converted to an SFW, a 16" barrel version though.
  23. I used to have a helmet like that when I was an adventurer, but then I took an arrow to the knee...
