  1. And why would you consider all things equal when I was discussing a Tokyo Marui M4 with a CYMA Ak47? I still fail to see how my observation that my CYMA AK, on the whole using rougher and less-quality parts then my Tokyo Marui M4, is noticeably more accurate--can be explained with simply stating that longer barrel = more accuracy. Steve
  2. Not necessarily--my accuracy experience with AEG's has put less of an emphasis on barrel length and more on consistency of internals/hopup/bucking to produce accuracy. Steve
  3. Daz, is the scope in your top picture the 2x red dot site I see for sale in various gun magazines? If so, how do you like it? Does it truly have unlimited eye relief, like various retailers claim? I have been thinking it might be a perfect addition to my soc16... Steve
  4. Utah, USA based. As to the other questions, just another vote towards 'not shiney' and 'solid stock.' Honestly, it's one of the most solid folding stocks I've seen on any AEG--then again my experience has only been with underfolder AKs and sidefolding Sigs. It locks closed with an extremely sturdy 'CLACK!' My JG G36 got a ton of use as a loaner this Saturday, and it performed extremely well. Accurate, reliable, and simple. That being said, my full stock CYMA 028 might be pulling ahead as my favorite owned clone. Stuck a stock TM barrel in it, an element hop, metal bu
  5. Depends on the gun--a lot of AEG's by design have a fairly insulated gearbox, usually by a lot of interior space in the body. P90 and Aug deffinetely fall into this category. A p90 with a silencer is about as quiet as you can get in an aeg. Steve
  6. Gotta be a TM. Sweet gun, dude.
  7. Dusk, so fantastic. Needs a cross-draw holster, and you'd be the belle of the ball.
  8. In the immortal words of General Patton: "Only a pimp in a New Orleans whorehouse or a tin-horn gambler would carry a pearl-handled pistol." That being said, those are a good looking pair of shooters. Steve
  9. Nice, I've always kind of wanted one of those. How quiet is it? Steve
  10. For sale on ehobbyasia, don't remember the name. I have one, and it looks great, crosshairs are awesome, but the dang thing doesn't hold a zero worth a damn. Seriously, just the tremors of an AEG are enough for the crosshairs to 'walk' out of zero. Shame, really, everything else about it is awesome. Steve
  11. How the poop did you do those grip textures? Looks awesome.
  12. Rather true... Between AGM, Kart, UTG/rebrand, Tokyo Marui, G&G, and now Classic Army--that is a lot of M14 options...! I agree that the Marui 'wood' looks absolutely terrifically bad and feels worse. Reason enough to get a Soc16 if you are in the market for a Marui M14 and don't want to plunk down the dough for a stock. Although the pebble finish on my Socom 16 is wearing off at an alarming rate-- Steve
  13. Looks like the replica of MagPul MIAD grip made by Mad Bull. Steve
  14. Doesn't have sweet dune buggies like the Steve McQueen version! Or gliders!
  15. Ever thought of not putting the RAS/RIS on it? Look around this thread, and count for yourself how few guns have standard handguards on them. There are other options for putting on flashlights--barrel clamps look great. It is your gun, but if I was you, I'd keep the convenience of having a nice hidden battery in the handguard, and enjoy your rifle as it is. It looks absolutely perfect to me. Seriously, I wouldn't change a thing. (and you'll save yourself a few bucks!!) Steve
  16. Dannng, I liked your pair o' V10's when they had the bling slides on them, HBC! The bling start to blind you? Steve
  17. Their range is great stock, I agree, but the 'time of flight' for a bb at stock velocity leaves much to be desired. Fine if you are firing at a stationary target--but how often does that happen? They respond as well to upgrades as they do stock, it seems. I loved my socom stock, but upgraded it is now absolutely ridiculous. Steve
  18. Just a bunch of doooooodz lookin haaaaaaaaaaaaaard
  19. Hah, indeed it does. I guess that other thread was THIS thread. Great looking 47/74 thing though... throw a slant brake on it and a plebe like me would believe you if you said it was an AKM. Steve
  20. He said in another picture thread I think... believe it's Guarder. Steve
  21. If I remember correctly, Downslide was forced by site policy to create his epic P90 mag loadout. (No hicaps allowed!) I've said it before, but I'll say it again, I dig your loadout style Downslide.
  22. Looks just like my Hurricane Bushmaster receiver, so that's my vote.
