  1. RWJP; Yes, you are correct. The eye relief is useless and pretty much renders the SUSAT useless for the airsoft, even when wearing non-obtrusive ESS or Oakley eye pro. The most useful thing for airsoft is probably the BUIS on top of the SUSAT itself.
  2. Couple more pics for the hell of it, trying out a new lens on my SLR.
  3. Kyloned L85A2?! I'm sure that pleased the RSM greatly.
  4. Dont hate on Condor, honestly it's really not bad at all. Obviously I'm using this as a temporary carrier, but it's fine. Stitching is fine...problem is that on some of the MOLLE loops towards the edges, they are not big enough to thread a pouch onto, and so you end up cutting some of the stitching so that the pouch will thread on - which can be a pain where it happens. Looking to go back to an EPC or CIRAS, though. The smokes are standard British army issue ones.
  5. Was bored, so took a photo of 'my' rig... Started getting back into Multicam (thankfully!) and whilst I decide on what 2nd Line to run this time around, am borrowing my mate's Condor Plate Carrier.
  6. Yes, I realise that. I was implying that I was glad I hadn't spent the extra money on the "STAR" before the "Ares" re-brand and price drops.
  7. Picked up my new Ares L85A2 as well as a STAR SUSAT today. Absolutely love it as much as I had hoped I would...well-made and with a good weight to it! So glad I held off paying for a STAR one and waited for the Ares ones! The eye-relief on the SUSAT is as useless as I had read about, but oh well!
  8. I don't need camping mat when I have real soft armour inserts.
  9. Oh lord. Why didn't I think of putting soft armour in my Osprey earlier...! :/ Wondered what would happen if I put my Unicor IBA soft armour in the Osprey...and now it fits like it always should have done.
  10. Love the Osprey, Angel. L85A2 w/SUSAT will be here on Sept 6th...I wish I could have it for photos earlier!
  11. Nice effort Obi Wahn. I finally have an Ares L85A2 w/SUSAT to my name...expect complete loadout photos soon - further 2BN Royal Anglian action.
  12. Looking good Angel. Much prefer your Mk6 now you've got rid of the foliage straps on the helmet cover. Not got the DDPM out for a while, i'll post up some pics later of my gear.
  13. Nice to see you're progressing with your kit, Angel! Joint photoshoot...
  14. Good job. You might like to try doing something with your PTT downlead though...having it flapping around there will lead to it getting caught on something and ripping your PTT off at some point.
  15. Now that's what I like to see. Seraphein, you might like to post that impression in the Modern Ranger Loadout thread in the Gear Discussion forum, there's plenty who would appreciate your pretty awesome impression!
  16. Whole set of these can be found on MP.net, but I particularly liked this one.
  17. Team SNAFU at Phoenix Rising III. [Left to right- Aimpoint, Buzzsaw, Sadigh, Tom Lawson, HaVoC]
  18. Pat.l, which hydro carrier is that? Can't say i'm familiar with it...
  19. Thanks for the comments guys, I really appreciate it! CKinnerley: Well, I wanted to prove that British loadouts can be just as "gucci/cool" as SEALs etc. However, pretty much everything apart from the Hatch gloves (have ref pic of them in use), and the Warrior Assault pack (informed by a guy out there that its perfectly fine) is issued gear...so I guess just adding the little details can make it looker that bit cooler! As for the V-12s...I wear ESS ICE 2.4 glasses during airsoft and just keep the V-12s on the my helmet as a backup and as it looks cool.
  20. Just in case anyone wondered (yeah..right! ) where my loadout has been over the past few months...well...it's been updated.
