  1. I know what you mean but I suppose the two most important things in airsoft weapons are looks and functionality. In most cases looks are more important since with AEGs the operation is much of a muchness. In that case you think his short AR needs finishing but I think it is lovely the way it is. The variety and individuality is one of the things I love most about airsoft. I don't own and never have owned an electric AR because I don't like them. That said I couldn't resist my gas one and I love it to death but I asked my GF to get me a laser/torch combination that mounts on t
  2. Don't listen to them buddy I love your screwed-on rail. Like the GG+G one. Top. No need for lots of rails if you only have to attach one thing and I think it can look more "Operator" Plus all your other AR series weapons are lovely too. Stunt
  3. I like the real steel one but just because it is real steel. I also like the real steel AUG A3, Reason? It is not just the rails that are new. The bonk rails can be put on and AUG A1 or A2 but the A3 has a bolt holding open device that holds the bolt open after the last round has been fired which cannot be retro fitted, the old barrel and receiver groups can however be fitted to the A3 making it still sexy and giving it more functionality. I like. Back on topic though. Stunt
  4. I'll look for one but it fits onto the front support for the scope/rail, i.e. just below the objective lens of the scope. it extends sideways to the right and when in place the torch is just right of and below the scope. I'll look for the pics when I get a minute. Stunt *Edit* there in a drawing of it on this webbo. http://www.lagger-pro.com/acctl.htm
  5. mounting a light on the barrel is as easy as getting a universal barrel mount. search wgc for "ubm" also if you are feeling flush you could get a surefire M27 mount for the receiver. looks the mutts nuts. Stunt
  6. ^ totally right just make sure you put the spring into the plastic part the other way round or it won't work. TerranCmdr, I meant mag release. I am sorry but check the time I posted. I am getting old now. Where are my slippers? Stunt
  7. I have two, you can switch the safety and I can reach the other controls with a bit of contorting. Go for it Stunt
  8. Thank you everyone, it is nice to be applauded for what is probably a disease. El greco, as you requested, Still holding that part for you, I'm off to canada for three weeks this Sat so I'll be off the radar. Stunt
  9. I got the family together for a group photo, sad to say that just after this photo was taken I blew a piston on a speed run on my main body and the frag in the g-box ate my sector and middle gears. thankfully due to modularity I still have two working bodies to build AEGs on. Stunt
  10. I've got the 650mm in my HBar and there is still a bit of room in there. the real steel is 621 but on the as one the barrel goes back into where the breech would be. Stunt
  11. I see your point. I guess there are three kinds of 'softers; those that can count and those that can't. No, I guess some don't want to take apart all their guns and just want to play and have no hassle. I can respect that but. I just have to dissasemble all my guns to their components the minute I get them. When I get to a point that I can't dismantle past because I don't have the tool I buy it. I bought a T05 driver so I could strip my G18c MAEG. After a while I found myself with a huge tool kit. It stems from when I started the guns came in kits. If you don't w
  12. P226 I used, a couple of preceision screwdrivers, an allen key, a pin hammer (for koncking throught the pins that hold the hammer group) a set of decent needle files for removing material in the way (sometimes just removing the paint from the friction points is enough. and sometimes I use a piece of emery paper glued to a piece of mdf to create a giant flat sanding area. I rub the top of the frame on it to give a really nice finish. you can probably do without that last one. Just remember that when you are sanding first work out where it is rubbibg and remove very small ammounts of m
  13. I've got that hop on my HBar, needed a little filing but it is sweet. can you PM me the birdcage flash hider url too please mate? I might have to get myself one of those bad boys. Stunt
  14. I know, I had to strip it out with my eyes closed. Hogue grips and tritium sights on the way... I'm getting twitchy. Stunt
  15. try rubbing alchohol or acetone (nail varnish remover) on the sticky stuff. use a little on a part you can't see first just to make sure it desn't eat the finish. Stunt
  16. So most of these are already on the latest aquisition thread but here they are again because a guy asked for an eotech on a civvy aug. it is an old, old school archery one that I got before they stopped doing them so a while ago. the "latest aquisition" was the GG&G accucam. here goes And here it is on the grenade launcher Silly really but fun Hope you like (or hate) these in the right place. Stunt
  17. I am bored and I have a dremel. Witness: Full length barrel inside Prime silencer mod: Also to continue the "making people barf with photos" theme: P226TGS with madbull grenade; And to finish off your delicate stomachs, the maruiP226 RAS/ S-system; P226 with the madbull grenade launcher holding an old rail and a fore grip. Now obviously I didn't put the madbull on the Prime framed pistol because I don't want to go to hell. It is actually quite comfy. "ZOMG!!!!!1111!!! that am teh mostest ugly 226 evaaar" welcome Cheers, Stunt
  18. I know it's in the wrong thread but this is barf. Stunt
  19. Yeah, I looked at those and the streamlight M6 but I don't need the laser. The 113 is the same functionality with less weight but I think it looks horrid, wether I will spend an extra 200 bucks just for looks remains to be seen. Trouble is I am just about to embark on another round of upgrades for the SPM16 and between the real steel upper, bolt catch and having to buy all new Systema mags I am going to be skint in a whole new way. I know the 226 would look awefull with a Jpoint on it but it would look worse with a huge hole or blob of epoxy in the top which is why I'll be super ca
  20. There is a little piece of grey plastic that holds the ddissasembly lever in place and it slides in a track composed of a rail on the underside of the trigger mechanism sub assembly and a ramp on the inside of the frame. The ramp is present on the marui body (obviously) and not present on either of my metal bodies. When I installed the Guarder one the plastic part engaged the lever in a different way that caused me to have to remove some material from the barrel on the lever. When I installed the Prime kit the plastic part flipped on it's side and engages the lever very weakly, I r
  21. It is awesome! A 1:1 copy of the real steel. But It requires a bit of sanding on the contact surfaces to get the action sliding smoothly. Also the ramp on the plasic body that guides the plastic slider that acts as the detente for the disassembly lever isn't present. Actually it isn't present on either kit but it seems to be more of an issue with the Prime kit. The safety and the two pins that house the hammer mech need to have their holes reamed out a little too. It took a very enjoyable evening's work to get the thing running nicely, I love it. Stunt &l
  22. Here we go: Top, Righty Prime metal frame and slide Guarder stainless barrel Firefly stainless bearing spring guide Guarder 150% hammer spring RCC 130% recoil spring KN TN barrel Guarder loading muzzle PDI piston head Guarder valve blocker Creation Steel hammer M3 tac light Coming soon trijicon tritium sights and a hogue 26000 grip. bottom, lefty Guarder metal slide and frame Slide hand polished Prime threaded barrel and silencer (not pictured) RCC 130% hammer spring RCC 70% recoil spring (seems stiffer than the standard one?) M3 tac light
  23. I like your silencer mate, looks good. I am stuck with the tracer one I mostly use because I can't be bothered modding the guts to go in a slimmer one. Noob, I don't have any spare barrels. If you look in the picture there appears to be two spare barrels but the top right AUG doesn't have a barrel because it is a sniper project I am working on and it isn't ready for the barrel. The other spare barrel is a metal pipe with the gas tube/fore grip mount/base plate welded on. It has a rough approximation of an HBar flash hider and was a prototype. It doesn't have the barrel retaining
  24. Nice mate, thanks for the comment on the "where do you keep yours" thread. I had a Steyr GB years ago and I blew it up trying to get more power. If I see another one I'll have it. Stunt
  25. Here are my AUGs HBar on the way. Will fit it after my summer holiday. I love them sooooo much. Stunt
