Yes my friend - bin your stock TM hop and get some decent bucking to boot.

It'll fit fine as there actually 4/5sc cells (Slightly smaller). It would benifit from a little packing to stop it rattling around. The cyma comes with a mini-connector not the standard size, so you would need to convert this (dead easy). I'd really save your pennys for a decent battery though as it does make the world of difference!! If your short on funds theres an ebay seller called Big Boys Toys and they sell a 8.4v 4000mah nimh race pack for around £15-20, it JUST fits into the Famas and out performs most high end battery packs. Hope that helps.

So your using a 600mm APS2 Barrel and systema hop are you, didn't realise it was such a popular FAMAS mod?! It certanly outranges all the other AEG's at my local site. Not sure how long it's gonna last running on a 9.6v battery but who cares when there so cheap?

Cheers dude, Even though I've got plenty of other guns I always come back to the Famas. It really is a grin inducing bit of kit and it seems to be getting rarer by the day on the field.

Not 100% as slacky sotrted it for me. I know it involved a ported head, weight removal and polished guides among other loving touches. With the systema hop and APS tightbore barrel this really is a long range bit of kit with a rof to match!!

Bought the silencer 2nd hand but it's 25cm. It's attached by a First Factory direct silencer attachment, This replaces the standard O/B and replaces it with a 14mm thread, ready for anything you like. I got mine from zero one. Guide was very useful and my mouse mat cheekpad very comfy,

Yeah I have some really nice 7.2v's from my speed boats. It's amazing what difference a good battery makes. Anyone found batterys making a big difference to the Famas? i.e high quality vs standard + anyone tried a 9.2v?
