  1. Yeah I know mate. Ment to say "VBSS grunts"
  2. Alark, those are SEALs/VBSS (can't remember which)
  3. Yeah I completely agree with those 2 points. Looks really good though. Makes me wish I hadn't sold my MRE setup haha.
  4. I've tried it in hot weather with nothing underneath and I didn't feel the heat anymore than I do in BDUs
  5. Back plate is from an EPC and yeah I have an RG paca underneath. 6. Shhhhh, they might not notice..............
  7. No as I really hate multicam with all of my being How's that for ya?
  8. My 75th Ranger Regiment impression: Can post more pics if anyone wants but didn't want to clutter the thread.
  9. Can't see any OD there. MJK (Eagle's khaki) can look greenish in some light and I see ranger green and smoke green iirc but no OD. I think it's just the quality and lighting in the pictures mate. Unless I've missed something
  10. Which pics were you refering to when you said "it amazes me how many of the sof/sf guys were od vests and pouches with their acu!" as I can't remember any off the top of my head?
  11. Had forgotten about that actually. I liked the instructions all though their wiring/soldering directions are dumb. Just use them to get the general idea then do it your own way. It's really not that hard.
  12. It's not as difficult as you might assume. I thought it would be hard but it wasn't at all. The only actual modifications I can think of are chopping down the inner barrel by 30mm and a bit of soldering to rewire it to the front end. The instructions are very clear and simple too. The bit I was worried about was changing the motor housing but this is also very easy.
  13. Great. Thanks mate. Any idea which one would fit a VFC krinkov as to be perfectly honest I ain't got a clue. Cheers Chris
  14. Ok thanks. I'm so happy with it overall that to me it's a mini negative point. At least it doesn't wobble anymore. On a site note, does anybody know what optics mount these private security guys are using? Cheers Chris
  15. Just got a VFC AKSU (DX). Really really pleased with it apart from the upper handguard. Does anybody know of a fix to keep it solid? If put small amounts of duct tape on the insides which keeps it from wobbling but it still moves quite easily if you hold it. Thanks in advance Chris
  16. Thanks for the responses guys. Yeah when I said TM mags I just meant the standard TM 47 mags (not that I'll be using them as that would be gh3y) I'll stick with the MAG midcaps I think. I like the idea of them being single stacked as pretty much every double stacked midcap I've used I've had trouble with. Thanks all it's much appreciated and I'll be sure to post pics of the AKSU when it arrives. Cheers Chris
  17. Hi all. Hope you guys don't mind me asking a quick question here. I'm just about to buy a vfc aks74u and I want to know if the MAG ak74 midcaps are compatible with it. I've read that TM mags aren't compatible with it and the MAG description says for TM gun so I have no clue. Anybody had any experience with them in a VFC ak? Apologies if this has been mentioned before. I've had a read of this thread and searched the forums but can't find any info on the subject. Much appreciated guys. Chris
  18. I would go for the map but he doesn't ship to the UK and it looks like it's gonna sell for a high price given that it's on $125 now and finishes in 8 days. Good luck dude.
  19. I had the TGS kit and it was actually drop in. There's a few little bits and pieces you have to fiddle with but seriously it's so easy. The only part that you really have to change is the wiring which as long as you're confident with a soldering iron is no problem. The TGS kit also comes with a CD with a picture walk through and also a video walkthrough. Chris
  20. I bought mine from OPTac a year ago then sold it here to a fourm member then the other day I bought it back from him
  21. Cool. Although, if you want my advice to make it a more accurate impression then you will need a medic pouch on the left of your PC, you will also need to change the velcro on your MICH. Ranger SOP for the velcro on their 2000s would not allow them to have the "mohawk" style. The patches on the sides are fine but the SOP dictates that if they want velcro on the top then it has to be a square. (forget the dimensions of hand) The same also applies to the rear. I see you have a horizontal strip on the rear whereas iirc they have to have a square again. Get yourself some bunny ears too.
  22. Yeah it is. Gonna order loads of RG pouches and an RRS-V soon and thats pretty much done apart from Lib2s. I would love to get a pair but it's a lot of cash for one item if that makes sense.
  23. I would make some comment about paying extra for the win or something but I got raped hard by her majesty's rip off merchant customs inspectors so I had to pay an extra £40 (about 80 dorra). Naturally I wasn't impressed as I paid $145 for it. *sighs*
