Wow, that rifle has been through hell and back...and I like it.

I think it is a harmless black snake. We had a cotton mouth. on the trail at the previous game. Everybody started calling "Blindman" over comm to stop the game, saying there was a rattlesnake, but it turned out not being one. It might have been a cotton mouth though.

Here's my pretty little NVG carrier. . Knew I shoulda used a tripod though, shutter speed is not fast enough to get good close up shots freehanded.

I got some pictures comparing my helmets new paintjob to my Multicam and gear. In person, the helmet looks a little more OD in the shadows, and tan in direct light. It is just a light coat of tan.

Vic I could get you a real deal MICH for $50. Already have a few people in line however. Does any place sell real NVG mounts for under $16 (ebay price.) I can't stand seeing my flip up lying around...I need to mount it badly.

Yep, I like it a lot. No matter how many pictures I take of it, the colors do not portray right. I will get some picures of it against my gear and Multicam tomorrow possibly. The OD shows more in dark light, and the Tan shows more when its bright. -EDIT- That night shot is amazing.

Anybody know the best deal on a NVG mount? $16 shipped was what I found on ebay. The soldier I bought the helmet couldn't find the mount.. Now I just need a real PASGT to replace that lame replica..

Yea I have a multi purpose pouch thing w/ the Crye tags on it. Local surplus store is stocking a huge variety of Condor Multicam pouches now, it rocks.

I don't know what the 2 is on the back of that helmet, Not sure if it was issued to my friend when he was deployed or not. The pads have his name written on them. The number might be to keep track of who's is who's helmet.

Ok here's an update, I went ahead and did a somewhat light tan paint job. I think it came out great. It matches my coyote tan gear and Multicam excellent. The pictures do not show the OD underneath too well, but up close you can tell its not all 1 solid color. Came out perfect.

Yes I know..before you guys start flaming...I am missing the actual mounting bracket for the NVG carrier. The guy forgot it today, but he is shipping it to me. I'm thinking about dusting it with some Krylon Tan in a bit, what do you guys think?

I love it just where it is, considering it is a magnifying scope and has iron sights on top. For red dots I prefer them up a little more though. If I had an ACOG, I think I would have to buy both the red dot model and the magnifying model, just because they both rock.

Packs of hooks are like $1-2 for 4 when I got mine. I just put one hook through the space inside of the trigger guard, then one hook under the bottom of the grip to keep the pistol standing up.

I finally found a good color Krylon to match my gear, but its not as good as the camo series. Even though the camo series is lighter, the finish is stronger and better. Regular Krylon tan is an awesome Coyote color but it wears off easy. I'll never get it right..
