  1. You mention both stock and handguard wobble. Were you able to correct these deficiencies?
  2. Very sexy. I was just researching those little do-dads this evening. Are they available for commercial sale yet or do you have friends at KAC?
  3. Hmm, Well, if it is a question of tolerances I wonder which bit is not correctly constructed? The hole on the PDW or the QD mount itself...
  4. In an earlier post I wrote that the Does anyone else have this problem? Is the problem with the actual QD fitting? Or is it with the actual QD mount hole built into the gun?
  5. Beast, I suggest you take your questions over to the Dboys KAC PDW thread. Possible solution: Look up into the magazine well. See the wires? Make sure they are positioned so that they aren't being crushed by the magazine and preventing it from locking into place.
  6. Question: When opening the stock, returning it to its full extension, is it important to depress the locking button? Does not doing this wear out the catch on the rear of the receiver?
  7. Received mine today. Some small niggles: a little bit of left/right play between the upper and lower receiver. A shim or washer would probably sort this out. QD sling mount pulls out really easily of the rear, left mount hole. The hole on the stock accepts the QD mount and it doesn't pull out easily. The button that is used to fold the stock is super stiff. It takes quite a bit of pressure to get the stock to fold. Could be I am weak or the assembly needs to be oil (?). Seating magazines is a bit... odd. My MAG mid-caps fit and feed fine, as does the included D-Boys ma
  8. Mental Medic, What length is the inner barrel? The gun comes with a barrel extension. With the extension attached how long (theoretically) could the inner barrel be? 300mm?
  9. Appslapp, That sling is already available on Redwolf. Linking to Redwolf is weird on occasion, so I won't attempt it, but you should be able to find it in their slings section.
  10. Does anyone know if the gearbox is 6mm or 7mm? And if the gearbox is the reinforced or unreinforced (a la TM) style gearbox? edit: filairsoft says 7mm bushings.
  11. Does anyone have any idea how the SIG 552 RIS on EhobbyAsia attaches to the gun? Is it two pieces that split apart or does the entire front end need to be disassembled in order to fit it? If so, what is the procedure for attaching it?
  12. Thanks, Mig1! That helps me out for the ICS SIG 55X series. Now how about the TM/JG brand?
  13. For all you SIG 55x owners, is it possible to run the gun's wires and mini-tamiya through one of the handguard holes to connect up with a PEQ? Or conversely, is it possible to run the "female" small-type tamiya from a mini-battery through one of the holes to meet up with the gun's "male" small-type tamiya on the inside of the handguard? For example, see the holes on the handguard of the SIG 552 pictured below:
  14. Just to add to what was said above. The Element CTR stock being sold by some overseas retailers for approx $40 (shipped) has the friction lock feature. It's a more affordable option for those who want the price of the MOE, but the features of the standard CTR.
  15. Thanks for the quick response. Tis a a weight piece isn't it? I can only wonder if the bull-pup design helps to balance all that weight out.
  16. Can anyone tell me the weight of the ICS L85?
  17. I loaded it all up today and discovered that the side pouches are very, very tight. It is quite difficult to get M4 magazines to fit, but they do fit with effort.
  18. I just received mine yesterday. Sorry, no photographs at this time. So far I'm fairly impressed. The material and stitching appear robust. The main components are double stitched, while some secondary bits (like the attachment of velcro to the mag pouch closures) are single stitched. It would have been nice to have these things triple and double stitched, but in terms of longevity of the current design we'll have to see. Given the <$20 price tag this piece isn't too shabby. My only real complaint is that while the thing can be adjusted to a very, very large size it is more diffi
  19. I'm sure your local mountains are on private property far from the view of John Q Public... (?) Cool photo though. Digging the camo. DPCU?
  20. Howdy all, I know there was some confusion about this in the past, but does the WOC have a commercial or mil-spec buffer tube? Posts on the previous page suggest that the WOC has a commercial size tube, but I just want to confirm. As a follow-up, most airsoft buffer tubes are commercial or mil-spec?
  21. Any updates on this particular item? Mine should be arriving shortly and I'll put down some of my impressions when I've loaded it all up.
  22. Lies! Don't listen to the naysayers Reborn. Your rifle is probably one of the best on Arnies! No nonsense, light and efficient is the way!
  23. I'm fairly interested in something along the lines of either 1) the EI/SKD universal chest rig or 2) some sort of RACK type system I spotted the BDS Tactical Simple Stacker Chest Rig and I like the idea of having the integrated magazine pouches. I've always found this feature rather neat on the Wasatch / Weesatch range and the SoTech Hellcats. Can anyone comment on either of these types of systems? Anyone know of any other systems that utilize the integrated magazine design like the BDS rig above?
  24. Question for all you chest-riggers. I've noticed that many of you (Agent Hunk I've noticed in particular) carry water attached to your rigs. Does this cause the chest rig to bounce or move around a lot? In addition, you all might be able to point me in some new directions. I'm looking into the possibility of going with a chest rig and I've got some requirements that need to be met. 1. Rig must be able to carry water - I use a Maxpedition mini rolly-polly to carry my nalgene. It attaches with one malice clip. 2. Rig must carry at least 8 magazines. 3. rig must
  25. Hate to break it to you, but aftermarket bodies won't fit ICS M4s. That's the price you pay for having the split-gearbox design.
