  1. As far as I know, the velcro-covered pocket interior and velcro-covered pouch exterior system (they call it the Accessory Platform) is a DBT thing. I haven't owned an EPC in a while, but if I remember correctly, the entire pocket is not covered in velcro, so it's not really meant for those pouches. It was designed as a pocket for a pistol or other misc stuff.

And a word to the wise: Unless you've tried it, I wouldn't go and buy a bunch of SR-25 pouches for SCAR-H mags, only to find out they don't fit comfortably. I'm sure they'd sit well in the pouch, but maybe not optimally. There's a reason multiple companies make both SCAR-H/M14/G3 magazine pouches and SR-25 pouches.

  2. DBT made those velcro-covered pouches specifically for the Battlelab Accessory Platform in their new Praetorian and FAPC carriers. As far as I know, they're the only manufacturer who makes them for that specific purpose.

When you say 7.62, do you mean you want a pouch that's M14/SCAR-H magazine size, or SR-25 magazine size? DBT makes a velcro covered pouch for SR-25 mags.

  3. Sorry, It was meant to be a request if people had the parts and could build it.

    Talk to CapaciousZepher.

He's got an awesome M4A1 similar to what you are looking for

I don't want to post his pictures here since I didn't ask for his permission.

Here's the link: (scroll down about 3/4th the page)

  4. I think USCM started this whole FDE trend with his chris costa rifle, before him, barely anyone used FDE. maybe i'm giving him too much credit

Well, Magpul technically invented the unique shade dubbed 'FDE', and Costa has always been their poster boy, so it makes sense that he would appear to have started the "FDE trend". I suppose you could say he did; he has certainly always pushed FDE.

  5. The FDE fad is out (I always knew it was a "fad"), take a look at costa's SR15. He's gone black, and I don't ever think he'll go back. (is that how the saying goes?)

Chris Costa probably has one AR for each of his fingers; just cause you saw a picture of him using a black rifle during one of the several Dynamics courses he teaches, doesn't mean he's "over" FDE.

It might be a fad in the airsoft world, as everything is, but not in the real world. FDE SCARs are being used, the ACR is being released in black and FDE, and every new Magpul accessory is still being released in FDE.

  6. Finally finished. KSC G19 Heavy Weight, Japan Version, PGC Slide and Barrel, KA recoil spring and guide, real Glock factory front night sight, and Hurricane hi-flow valves in all the mags.

  7. My old SBR

Far too tired to type up a parts list, but the rail system, gas block, vertical grip and front sight were all RS.

  8. Wrong-O! It won't fit without serious modification, and I don't want to risk fudging it up.

So, I'll need to order a lower profile gas block...

    -Vic

Indeed—one of the issues I had with my DD Lite rail was that nothing but DD's own gas block would fit beneath it. And it is sixty bucks, and there were no airsoft copies.
