No problems with mine. Took me some time to get some mods to work correctly but that's just airsoft No breakdowns or disappointments so far.

That barrel movement has developed into quite a lot on mine. Mine is a cut down tactical. I guess Iv got quite lucky with mine tho in comparison to how others have turned up. Ah them were the days, my first AEG was a First Factory HK51 from airsoft dynamics. I had a fair few oddities from them, hunted out when one of them was over in Japan. -
In 16 years of Airsofting Iv never had a TM gun that has worked as it should from purchase, I still keep buying them tho :s Iv only skirmished my m870 once and absolutely loved it. Have done a lot to it since and can't wait to get back out with it again. It's a shame they are coming out of the factory the way they are really.

There's a wealth of knowledge about problems with 6 shot and what causes them available in the TM M870 Owners Group over on facebook. Mine has shot 5 or 6 shots depending on how it feels since purchase.

My barrels looked like Marui had used them as a toilet from factory but it didn't stop my 6 shot mode from functioning.

I just bought a section of PTS rail... Something like: http://www.amazon.co.uk/20mm-Polymer-Rail-Magpul-Style/dp/B00IJF181I Take the bolt bits out and the tabs fit in behind the slot.

Yeah I PTFE taped around the stock tube threads and luckily it isn't leaking from there. Its leaking from the O-ring, I lubed it up so either its not seated right or I need to screw the whole thing on even tighter. Mines finally coming along. Got round to chopping the front end down. The AG stock adapter leaks like a *badgeress* from everywhere (join with the body and the fill valve and around the fill valve) DOH! Will have to sort that. Also, it's raised the power from just under 350fps (site limit where I play) to 365fps on abbey ultra, so I'll have to shop around for some other gas and hope it doesn't drop the power to much. Visible cloud of gas coming out of the barrel on every shot now, didn't do that with the original set up. The build continues.

Would the ambient temperature not be quickly negated by having cold gas blown over the hop rubber contact point in quick succession? Or maybe I'm over thinking it now.
