  1. Anyone already tried that GB? ..and does it really comes non-anodized? DOC
  2. I finally got myself a WE MSK modular handguard and I can tell you, it wasn't easy nor fast to get hold of that part without buying a complete MSK. However, it does look really sweet and I thought I should share some pics with you :-) Installation was rather easy, as I only had to lathe two small adaptor/spacer pieces to fit it (pics/specs on request), so now the handguard fits very tight. DOC
  3. BTW, finally got my very own Masada :-) S/N MPTS89154 ProLine CQB, black Obviously one of the latest units, as mine seem to have the reinforced GB shell as well as a red (?) aluminum nozzle..pics maybe later. DOC
  4. It's a 4mm hole/rollpin, so I would suggest a pin-punch wit a slightly smaller diameter of about 3.8mm ;-) DOC
  5. Just FYI..some new stuff @ EHA: long.. http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/action-aluminum-urx4-5-slot-keymod-handguard-for-pts-masada-aeg-long.html#.UvTnKH-9KSM ..and short http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/action-aluminum-urx4-5-slot-keymod-handguard-for-pts-masada-aeg-short.html#.UvTngX-9KSM DOC
  6. That's a ADCO RD sight...very, very old..I'd say minimum 25 years. Bought it when I started with Airsoft ages ago.. It's completely made of plastic and lightweight but still robust. Tried to sell it some yrs ago but then decided to keep it for ..well, a possible ScFi built haha.. I may post some detail pics later. DOC
  7. ..and a Omega Arms 1911..I know it´s the wrong grip DOC
  8. A shell ejecting Smokeys M82A2...very classic I guess. A nice gun to look at but nothing more, sadly..sold it ages ago. DOC
  9. Thanks for the info, I think I may try the wiitech one first. DOC
  10. Beside that "S.L.A.S.H." (I still prefer the std RIS).. does someone knows more or even tried this CNC HUC from Ace 1 Arms: http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/ace-1-arms-cnc-hop-up-chamber-for-pts-magpul-masada-aeg.html#.UuE4C3_GKSM DOC
  11. Found this accidentally, never saw that frontend before.. http://fgtec.militaryblog.jp/e478941.html ..you may also want to take a look here: http://fgtec.militaryblog.jp/e396420.html DOC
  12. I have pretty similar issues with mine... The unit still works but only in the "constant on" mode when switched to it on the unit itself, the cable switch and even the "on/off" switch on top of the unit stopped working without any reason while it worked perfectly when I got it. I have absolutely no clue what happened, I did not fielded or even dropped it, it just layed arround mounted on a gun without using it. I really did nothing to the unit that could have caused this! ...very strange and anoying for such an expensive replica @Morbidus: the Element remote switches does n
  13. Nice review BerserkDS any chance that you could meassure lenght of the silencer alone without the QD base? ..and maybe inner diameter of the tube too? WGC´s description says 158mm in total and 38mm outer diameter. That sounds like it´s may possible to fit tracer internals to it but I´m not sure and I really don´t want to buy it only for the look (..though it really looks cool). The TM tracer internals (gen1) I got are 110mm long and 36.2mm in diameter BTW. DOC
  14. Got my G&P Dbal 1-2 weeks ago, didn´t had the chance to test the IR laser/illuminator yet but overall impression and built quality is very good for a replica. The main body seems very sturdy and the red laser is really powerfull in the "Hi-Power" mode. Only thing that I found a bit odd is that there´s a small green LED at the back of the device that glows when you activate a laser and/or the illuminator ...well, sure usefull to avoid accidental activation of the IR stuff but it´s actually not very helpfull when a LED illuminates your face during some night action However, I t
  15. Got mine yesterday, too..and yeah great replica for the money. The only thing that isn´t so nice, is that the main rocker switch is a bit sensible and tend to stay "on" when released to the "off" position, the switch then needs a small tad into the other direction to dissable the light/laser ...no big issue, I think I can easily fix it but still a bit anoying However, other than that I´m very pleased with it ...ok, it´s no weaponlight for a long gun since there´s no cableswitch option but it still looks very nice.. DOC
  16. Thanks for the nice review, I´m looking forward for mine DOC
  17. Wow, I thought the ACR uppers are anodized and that looks obviously like it´s just paint (a wearing anodized surface does not look like this)... I guess PTS did that cause it´s easier that way to achieve that spot-on matching colours from lower to upper receiver but I hope, at least the black ones are really (hard)anodized. Can anyone with a black ACR confirm that? ...however, I will buy it anyhow DOC
  18. Thanks for that info Dave, thought that before since all DD Literails are one-piece without removeable bottomrail ...was just hoping that G&P have found a clever way somehow to adjust HU without a PITA trough the venting holes of the RAS DOC
  19. Nice pics! How do you adjust hopup, is the lower part of the rail removeable (I guess no)? DOC
  20. The winter spring is weaker. ...that´s normal, real AR´s do/sound pretty much the same, just a bit less due the stronger recoil spring D.O.C.
  21. Thanks riato and BrooklynBorn Yeah, the Prime stuff is really not cheap but I think the roughly 580 USD for the Bomber kit is Ok. If you subtract the outer barrel, flashhider and the gasblock/-tube from that price, about 450-500 for "naked" VIS would be fair for that quality. D.O.C.
  22. Installation / compatibility with Prime lower receivers Allthough the Bomber VIS is real steel speced and designed for use with with Prime lower receivers, I had issues with both of my lowers and wasn´t able to fully close the VIS for pushing in the takedown pin right out of the box. The mod: To make the VIS properly fit my Prime lowers, I needed to carefully remove some material arround takedown pin area, where upper und lower contacts. I did that very slowly and gently with a very small flat file but a dremel will do the job of course, too. While it´s annoying
  23. Built quality and finish Overall machining quality is very good allthough it can´t match Prime´s final finish in terms of tooling marks and and overall apearance ...just to clarify, I´m nitpicking here, this is still top notch. The surface finish itself is hard anodizing which feels indeed more durable and scratch resistant, than the only regular anodized Prime receivers. Not so "top notch" with this kit are the laser markings. I mentioned earlier in another thread that the first batch seemed to have slightly "imperfect" markings due problems in conjunction with the h
  24. Allmost since the begining of the WA GBBR era I was after a VIS for my WA. RS or AS, don´t matter but I had to wait quiet a while until something was available. Prime early announced a VIS and I shizzled my pants but ...nothing happened. Then finally last year I heard solid rumors from my HK contact that Bomber is planing to release a CNC VIS soon (that was in september)! and I preordered mine at Rhino Airsoft.com Packaging The kit came in a simple plain cardbox, all larger parts carefully wrapped in cushion-foil, the smaller parts packed in plastic bags. Just as usual
