The link yo the picture did not work! Basically a standard ACOG, but instead of a battle iron sight, there is a CQB red dot reflex sight at the uppermost rear of the unit just above the eyepiece.

Loki, I know all about the sights, my question is concerning this JP Rifles mount, which is a RIS mount, not the usual wraparound an ACOG mount.

It's a JP Rifles mount, not Trijicon, which is odd because the entire sight package ( EDS, ACOG, and all the mounts I've seen thus far) are Trijicon.

Basically, is this something that's been seen on machine guns or other weapons, because it wouldn't go on an IW...

AFAIK, this was already on the scrapheap: He's said that the Army throw away a lot of kit than can be fixed fairly easily. The only issue with this mount is a bent mounting bolt, which JP Rifles are kindly replacing for me

Trying to work out how the VFC SR15E3 bolt catch assy works so I can reassemble it... but first I need to get work out how to take the mag catch out... and uscm is the guy who is pretty much Captain VFC.
