  1. First look at the spring pin holding the buffer spring, is it high? is the bolt *fruitcage* it up? how is the bolt looking where it interfaces with this pin? Screw the pin down, and smooth out the bolt with a small file, you may need to "ramp" the bolt were it hits the pin. That should fix the jamming, see if that makes the other problems go away as well.
  2. AccuWedge is worthless in real guns and about the same in a WE
  3. yeah don't do any of that to you airsoft gun, you will break something, I have seen this a few times when ppl change out the buffer tube and forget the plastic spacer at the bottom, or with RA-Tech buffer "upgrades" if you mess around with any of that stuff test that *suitcase* with just the lower and the bolt, push the bolt into the buffer tube and make sure the notch on the bolt and the bolt release don't go to fare past each other, a 5-8mm gab is perfect, more is asking for trouble. What happons is that the bolt goes past the hammer and the hammer pops up and locks the bolt, you will ne
  4. I have one in parts here, trying to fix it for some guy, I fell down with it and broke the plastic barrel housing, tryed to buy spar parts directly from ARES, but they have not responded over 2 weeks, anybody have a lead for spare parts for this gun?
  5. I have done about 40 mags, and here is the fastest way I have found. 1. clean the OB mag top, some have molding flashes that will make them har to fit. 2. shell off, bolt release parts off 3. top screw to remove feeder libs, use something to hold back the spring. 4. keep holding back the spring and drop the new feeder libs in, screw them down. 5. remove the 2 top most screws from the spring cover 6. pull back the spring and drop in the follower. 7. assemble the rest of the mag. The only hard part is keeping the damn spring from flying off, and making sure the OB feeder libs fit r
  6. To test for worn out trigger parts, first do a function test, Is the safety working? Is semi working? Is FA working? Is the reset nice and crisp? Then there is the visuel inspection, break open the gun, and press the hammer down while looking at the firing pin, the hammer will reset and with a little more pushing down the fireing pin will pop back in, when the parts gets worn the distence betwin the reset and the fireing pin pop will be further and further a way from each other, until running the charging handel will rest the hammer but not the firing pin. That covers wear, if s
  7. Yes, part 117 and the whole hopup design in the CB model is *suitcase*, get a OB kit and you will not regret it.
  8. Sorry about that, guess I am used to ppl knowing I am a *albatross*.
  9. Yeah, thats is what I did, this 350 page thread is not just about your problem you know So you "upgraded" a working WE part to a non working RAT part, that happens alot.
  10. You know what RA-tech is not that great, they make some good parts and some really *suitcase* parts, If you got a WE OB gun with RAT upgrades installed you will need to replace the RAT Valve Locker or your gun will not work, RAT seems to have a good few of thise in stock and are more then happy to take your money and install them even if it makes then gun work like ######. I have also seen RAT firing pin base with springs so hard the inserting a mag will open the walve and fire a shot. And don't get me started on the RAT barrels for the CB system. My point is only use RAT when you
  11. Had a guy come in with PDW that was stuttering and working like ###### in FA, the problem turned out to be greas, cleaned it out and used silicone with teflon balls in it, and it workes 100% again. It might be as simpel as a to heavy grade od lube on the bolt.
  12. There are only scar mags for CB, and then only thing different is a o-ring under the rubber, just chuck it when upgrading to OB, and I have seen a lot of left over molding on that piece just below the red mark, so make sure to clean the part and get a good fit before assembly.
  13. See if your bolt rails in the upper resiver are lose.
  14. Yes used all the new parts, did not test hammer spring, will look into that.
  15. I had a stupid problem yesterday after upgrading a SCAR to OB, the gun worked perfectly with gas mags, but lacked power with a CO2 mag, slow cycling, weak BB, and just running like ######, gas mag back in and it works perfect, and the CO2 mag worked fine in other guns, was thinking a fubar floating valve in the piston, but I just don't know.
  16. I think this is a guide to fixing the WE SCAR stock http://tw.myblog.yahoo.com/frogman-myblog/article?mid=9321&prev=9336&next=9254
  17. Weak potmetal in trigger parts can break on nye gun.
  18. The SCAR bolt has 2 barrings that runs on the top of the resiver, I have seen alot of them installed rather soddy, wack then with a hammer and hit them with a file to make them even and run nicly in the gun, also make sure the guide rails in the resiver are fixed propperly, if lose use loctite to fix in place.
  19. I have both SCAR's and PWD's here with me right now, and there is so much BS and and guesswork flying around. The openbolt PDW uses 100% the same lower as the brass tube apart from the bolt release, the PDW also uses a M4 trigger pack with a extender rod for FA, the SCAR uses almost the same trigger pack the only non standard part in a SCAR trigger pack is the trigger it self, it is longer, so a M4 trigger will fit, but only half the trigger will be visible out of the lower resiver. The openbolt PWD is a good gun, the only real problem (that can't be fixed IFAK) is the bolt release not
  20. You might bendt it if you force the gun closed on full auto, should be easy to strighten out again, it is one of the few parts that is steel, or a new part will run you a few $.
  21. Worn out trigger parts, get the ra-tech steel replacement set. All kinds of wired stuff happons when the parts fail.
  22. I have fitted the PTS and the ELEMENT UBR and the ELEMENT takes less work but needs ekstra parts (screws are short and long) the PTS one needs a lot of work on the threads of the buffer tube, and on both you need to cut down the rubber spacer under the buffer spring, all in all a rather big project, 4-5 houres.
  23. I have only fitted a AEG version, no problems.
  24. G&P URX fits like a dream, but you need to buy the tools for it, they cost a ekstra 50 USD.
