  1. Sid: Tools > Options > Servers > Irc Server = 'Random Darkmyst Server' then simply type "/join #airsoft" on connection to the server, or add that to your perform list for automatic connection (Options > Perform)
  2. I seem to remember two of those being present last year at AG. We really should all just get one each, and tape the cyalumes to the ends. Worked then. Jimmy, are you going to bring some cyalume nunchucks again?
  3. I think we all remember poor Xaccer's FX Obi-Wan Sabre, after twenty mins of pratting around with several of us using the £20 jobs. Confirmed my belief that they're very pretty to look at, but sadly bloody useless for anything else. In fairness, I think the cheaper the implement, the better it is for that sort of thing.
  4. Great Review...But so far off-topic it's in another galaxy, far far away, surely? I'm still somewhat confusd as to whether you've written this in all sincerity or as a mickey-take of the common preconception of all Arnies members being kids. As great as these overpriced toys are to prat about with at AG for a laugh, I think this is really taking things a little too seriously. What next, threads on WOT AM BEST LIGHTSABRE? (It's the colour changing Anakin Skywalker one, by the way...)
  5. Thanks for the follow up Arnie. Myself and Caz had attempted to restart the server without success. Fingers crossed it's just something which can be easily remedied, like downtime for maintenence.
  6. I can definitely spot an appeal. No random rude individuals popping on demanding to know things which could easily be answered withing five seconds of browsing the forums...
  7. My bad - I assumed people wouldn't be lazy and would simply search for the previous posts on the topic. Then I remembered this is Arnies. So yes, the server is acessible through any decent IRC client on irc.darkmyst.org, channel #airsoft. Thanks Tink.
  8. ...No you're not all banned. The server is down. As usual in this situation, we've set up the backup channel on Darkmyst.org. This should just be a temporary problem however - we hope to have the server back up soon. Cheers.
  9. Have you tried editing the settings under 'my controls' so that each thread displays every post made on it? That should make it all hopefully come up as one VERY LONG webpage. It's by far the easiest way of printing off a whole thread, and doesn't require Arnie to spend hours breaking his back.
  10. Is it really worth the hassle? Come March the list of things on sale should rapidly decrease...
  11. Arnie: can you not redesign the layout so that the search button is placed at the centre of EVERY forum screen, sized 46, with large arrows pointing to it?

I'm not a member of the tricked up Armalite club, so I doubt my contribution will be to popular, but it certainly cost more than 1000 dollars: http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/St_Dante/rah.jpg Unfortunately the photo doesn't show the weathered effect too well (beyond the restained wooden furniture).
  13. It's a good idea, but as Sale said, the whole reason that the questions are asked over and over is simply that people don't bother to search. In the latest storm of political correct idiocy we're not even allowed to point out to such lazy individuals that they should do so, which merely engenders more people doing the same. ...Sadly as a result, any attempt at a FAQ would be disregarded for the same reason: it's much easier for an immature individual who's been brought up in the modern western culture of instant gratification to simply disregard any previous questions on the same topic,
  14. Sorry to make you look a little silly Dave, but it is still a RPK at present. I was hoping to convert it into a 74 (with flash hider, appropriate mags, receiver modification etc), but I've had no luck on the flash hider, and was less than impressed with Trapper when I tried to contact them regarding it. As a result it looks like sadly until I can locate another source of RPK 74 flash hiders which have the 14mm thread, I'm a bit scuppered.
  15. Thanks Zero. Your collection looks pretty impressive too.
  16. If you want it reviving, how about this? Alright, it's been in the thread before, but I thought those who have been following the epic horror story that has been my RPK would like to know that it is finally working and in one piece.
  17. If you're going to be pedantic you could say we're technically not mods, but ops. We do roughly the same thing as the forum mods, only on the chatroom rather than on here. I don't think there's a need for a 'forum mod' presence constantly on IRC though. However, I am beginning to feel that at least one of the regualar ops requires more power on the chatroom, so I'll try and pm Arnie when I next remember...
  18. Yep. Maybe I should move it away from my actual house though, before I get into another heated debate on here, or have to ban any highly strung people from the chatroom...
  19. Eh? I thought I was supposed to enter them in brackets...I'll remove them anyway. Edit: By the way, does mean that we will see the Member's Map phased out eventually? This seems like a much more streamline approach - maybe it could even be used to automatically set the person's nationality!
  20. The POIS in OV2 format would be an amazingly handy utility for people attempting to plan a skirmish / pick up other members on the way. I can foresee it making AG06 next year (if it happens) a lot easier to plan for those of us driving. Edit: I keep refreshing the map, but no indication of my flag as of yet. I've entered it in the correct format and refreshed etc to make sure I wasn't just looking at a cached version. Is there a period before it'll register the flag?
  21. It's a shame there's no simple way of exporting all these details as POIs for GPS systems like Tom Tom Navigator. If there was I'd be sorted.
  22. Oh goody, the trolls have arrived. Is that what passes for wit, elsewhere these days? QQexdera: I endeavoured to produce some constructive criticism on page 2 - I hope that 's of some use. I'm happy to e-mail it to whoever if it helps AI at all - I must confess I considered the idea, but after seeing the reception another reader got on another forum (even if the reader did come across as a bit of a muppet - I'm referring to the chap who was unhappy with the prizes his missus won), I must admit I was put off somewhat from contacting any members of your magazine, lest I received a simila
