    Thanks navymp28 :) It looks great with khaki concealment vest and 3color bdu but I still prefer WL over it :P

    2 Months isn't a very long time, it isn't pitfalls in training, it's what is going on real-time. I can remember being on numurous patrols with IA and IP's where they discharged their weapons when they shouldn't. It happens a lot and needs to be seen that these soldiers need help in training.

    They are, they are civilians and tax payers, which is who the US Military works for, so yes, they are more then allowed to questioning their work, but it doesn't mean they are right, or wrong. To me the whole video was on progress, you don't think that shooting those 2 kids has any effect on progress? Showing how those soldiers don't know proper weapons handling skills after their initial training? Instead of checking out the gear you should maybe actually watch and listen to the video it goes over quite a bit. These incidents aren't isolated at all, these are everyday things going on overseas.

    I would much rather have the truth then some buttered up fairytale. What do you expect to happen in 2 months? Not everyday is a patrol where something happens, there are off days, missions the reporters aren't allowed to go on, training the Afghan's and other stuff that goes on. Again, the point of the story was to inform you what is going on, not a Hollywood mock up of super heros.

    Thanks for the AOR2/NWU T3 info guise. I thought AOR1/2 was all of USSOCOM. I guess we'll keep seeing more US SF in woodland, 3-color desert, Multicam & ACU then.

     

    @ Fatal: oh you know what I mean! Lol! I was also hoping for more cool-guy action footage, gear, etc. Her old report on some SEAL's was a little better.

    Yeah I am taking some personal prefference liberties with it. Mainly because the crane stock was avaliable and I know it was used, I have the M951 and it is going onto the rifle just in two different spots when the pic was taken. I have a PEQ2 box that was originally sourced for the gun but it is currently sitting on my G36K KSK until I can get a Deans wired LIPO for a PEQ15 box.

    I have seen pics of CAG with EOTECHs, Crane stocks, etc. I just prefer the feel of the cranestock for a cheek weld and prefer the EOTECH to an aimpoint I know there is some lee-way for shooter prefference. If I can do it at my command I know a Tier1 unit can do it. I also wanted to do something a little different than the average CAG MRE out there. most of them are going to have that config and it gets a little cookie cutter after awhile.

     

    QFT-I too prefer the LMT/Crane SOPMOD stock and EOTech's.

    I saw that last night, pretty cool.

     

    I liek the Block 2 M4 CQBR's they showed. Seeing new footage is great-but I wasn't happy with it, wasn't too positive. Nice to see some old woodland. When will we see some AOR2.

    My MRE finally finished:

    I might add a different rear BUIS though and I need to put the Surefire on, but over all it is complete. I can finally focus on the fine details of my early 2000's CAG kit.

     

    Suggestions for early C*G-you may want to go with a Knights Armament forehand grip and rail covers. You might also consider an M951 as mentioned or even a Surefire 6P with a G&G 1" ring mount, a PEQ-2 for a battery box, a Colt LE stock and an Aimpoint M68 with a high mount. But I bet you already know this.

     

    @ Killahaas: I suggest dusting your tan rifle with a little brown Krylon fusion spray paint to tone it down a little, then spraying brown stripes all over it.

    Nice! Now hand over that ANVIS mount... Lol!

     

    @ CB: nice light set-up you got there. Mucho points for painting your comm's cordage, I did that too.

    I suspect it's a G19, but I could be wrong as I'm no expert. Looks the part though...

     

    There is a now infamous pic of a table display showing US Army SF firearms, on the table along with an M4 and M9, there was a Glock 19. Sorry I didn't save said pic-but a few in here might have it.

    Picked up a helmet for my SF kit, I painted it and wanted input, I will get retetion straps for the goggles and the Flakjaks will be swapped out for ESS goggles. I will also be getting a differnt chinstrap. Input???

     

    Nice project. Try dusting the retention straps and chinstraps with Krylon camo khaki/brown paint just like your helmet. A replica Norotos 3-point NV mount & SF helmet light would be cool too:

    I am loving the DD mk18 rail! I have a couple questions though, I am considering a G&P sentry which comes with the DD lite style rail. however, I would like to upgrade to a socom gear DD mk18 but I have heard that the barrel nut on the socom gear is not threaded right for the G&P reciever. What I am wondering is, will the barrel nut from the G&P sentry work to install the mk18 rail? anyway, amazing guns, they are all really sweet. one more thing, I want your opinions on what colors I should go with for my magpul build. should I go with the full FDE including reciever and rail, or should I go with a black reciever and rail with FDE accesories like chris costa?

     

    If you have an AR-15 armorer's wrench tool, you maybe able to force thread the Socomgear inner barrel nut onto a G&P receiver. Vice-versa with the G&P inner barrel nut. Those replica DD MK 18 RIS II rails are solid. Either full FDE or FDE/black would be on ok build.
