Sounds like there's a fault with your Scar mate , the 5 I've come across have all been over 308fps . I'd say send/take it back to the retailer you had it from .

Well mines arrived this AM from Ebaybanned , first impressions are good and only a few points to add to Scuffer's very good review . Agree with him on the visible moulding marks on the two halfs , but as I said a quick dusting with some krylon will solve that . I've also found exactly the same problem with the straps on this helmet that I had with my ops core copy from dragonred , there too short front to rear . Even when opened at there maximum the straps only just fit me . Now I know I haven't got a particularly 'odd' shaped head as my MK6 fits fine without any problems , so it's not me Ha

So basically there sounding less and less like the holy grail of EBB and more like a box of poop to sort for use ?

lol here you go mate ; i"m normaly a medium in hat sizing and it feels nicely in the middle size wise , BUT big problem was the straps , there just too short i had to split the seams on the buckles and re-sew them to get more lenth on the straps , but now ive done that its realy comfortable .

Fair comment if he has a 'fiscal' investment in it then , my big worry when lending kit is other people (seems no matter how good a friend they are) just don't look after it , and the amounts of money and 'blood sweat and tears' we've all invested in them just isn't worth the risk . As to the mag problem I'd say get the mag adaptor and keep saving your dosh for the mids , I've said it before but for me the lock is the total game changer . I'd give up the recoil before the mag lock .

Your a braver man than me , NO ONE touches my EBBs let alone lend them out ! Only people who are allowed to touch or I'd even consider lending too are a couple of team mates (who are also very very good friends) who already have EBBs of there own ! And hi-caps are smegma from the devils foreskin ! Sell more kit and get some more mids ;-)

Would be very surprised if it did happen , the sheathing on the cable seems very strong and durable to me . Think you'd need a hellava lot of opening and closing to start to degrade it .
