Bugger ! As you said about 9v I thought you were still running nimh batts . My sopmod is running consistently at 345-7fps , only swapped spring and spring guide and touch wood it's never locked up on me in over two years of use .

It's been covered in the sopmod/socom thread but I think prity much every one that was having lock up ( me included) solved this problem once they changed over to 7.4 lipo's from standard Batts . I've been running lipo in my 416 since I had it and never had a lock up once ( probably jinked my self now !) .

Fair enuff mate , if they allow 400 on your game sites then I can see why you'd want to upgrade , range and accuracy aside your going to be seriously out powered with a standard TM .

Ah , assumed you were having this problem with your own . Well so far only players I've personally come across having any problems with there 416 functioning have all to a man opened them up to 'fiddle' with it , SO assume what you may from that !

Quick question for all , who feels they do not need to do any up-grading to there 416 ? Both my self and the Bear feel its perfect as is and neither of us have any intention of cracking it open until something goes wrong . This is NOT trying to have a go at any one who has started to up-grade there's , just curious how you all feel about how your 416's are performing as is .

Thanks for the impute mate , did look at the mags first off but unfortunately all my mags (have 11 of them ) work perfectly in my Socom , Scar L and HK 416D . So it's still a WTF to me !

Well as some of you know I have a third hand sopmod with feeding 'issues' that's been the Bain of my life ! Some times it would empty the mag and other times it would leave 5-10 BBs in the mag and dry fire unless I put some forward pressure on the mag base . Tried several different uppers with it and all had the same problem so figured it must be either the gearbox (looks ok) or the lower some were . So few mths ago someone contacts me with advice and says " I had the same problem , do X,Y and Z and it'll be fine" and like a fool I followed said instructions and it stopped feeding all together

Hence the reason I bought your M98 off your good self when you put it up for sale , just wish I could get more of it !

Curious , as to why your fitting an old style barrel (could be a heck of a mod job) and what project its going towards building .

They'd need a total re-design to release a C for the recoil engine (no stock tube to speak off ) ?

Buggeringballs ! They look good

First foray in to the wonderful world that is Norwegian camo ! Inspired by a pic I saw of a royal guardsman in Oslo just after the Bravik bombings ; Kit list ; OD baseball BDU,s Khaki Platecarrier with three combatkit M4 pouches , radio carrier and a large utility pouch all in Norwegian camo pattern TM 416 with a comp M4 No Norwegian patches though , I'm in the "if you don't earn , you don't wear" camp on unit ID .

Well finally got to scurmish mine today and considering its practically new out of the box and had had probably fewer than 200 BBs thought it before today , it IS the best AEG I have ever used ! The range and accuracy was great at the start of the day but by days end and several thousand rounds late (think the hop is bedding in nicely ) it was creeping out to silly ranges with out loosing any accuracy , and the rate of fire for a stock TM gun is mental , if some one turned round and said "oh yes it has high speed gears and a high torque motor fitted " I'd have believed them no problem , runnin

BUT unless your as big as them your going to look like a right sad c**k ! Lol

Think those are the two illusive spacers that every one finds when they crack it open but no one knows where they go .

M90 and a bearing spring guide will get you to that , no need to mess around with new inners and the hop .

Just to let you know I've broken a Sopmod and its the bulk sales .

Not at all the scope is an element 552 and the torch is a cheapass ultra fire xenon bulb job from eBay (matter of fact I think the offset mount cost nearly as much as the torch ) its got a very strong focused beam to it and to be honest I begrudge spending good money on a decent one and then getting the lens shot out .I prefer a vert for a compact gun , I do use an AFG though when its in a DMR style , long barrel , scope and bipod .
